Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My wife and I recently returned to Hemlock Hall after a long absence to find it significantly improved. Our cabin was in pristine condition. There are cabins with one or two bedrooms and most have spectacular views of beautiful Blue Mountain Lake. The comfort food served for breakfast and dinner is better than ever. The freshly baked bread and desserts are out of this world.

There are numerous activities including swimming in a crystal clear lake, great canoeing, kayaking, hiking to Castle Rock, and visiting the nearby Adirondack Experience and Buttermilk Falls. The price of a cabin includes breakfast and dinner and is a remarkable value.

Great credit should be given to the new owners. Special praise goes to Chelsea Provost who warmly greets guests and seems to be always around to help guests in any possible way.

We cannot wait to return.

Hemlock Hall has everything.
Classic Adirondacks Lodge also with cabins and motel. Immaculately clean, paint always fresh and clean, wood structures well kept, excellent food served family style, beach on Blue Mountain Lake and kayaks, canoes, tow boats for guests, less than 10 minutes from the Adirondack Museum. We are annual visitors.

My wife and I just returned from 1 week stay at Hemlock Hall. We had our own cabin with a small porch overlooking the lake. Most of the people who stayed there had been coming with their extended families for many years. We were "newbies." The other guests were all wonderful people and the staff and the guests made us feel very comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were included, all nutritous meals. You are on your own during the day. So you need to do homework before
Plan local hiking suitable to your abilities, and also water activities
We canoed 1 mile to the local town to get the newspaper
At night we were serenaded by loons and the milky way was magnificent
Prepare for rainy days at Adirondack museum 7 minutes away and wild center 40 minutes away and go to famous gereal store and restaurant Hoss 30 minutes away
There is no TV
We regretted not bringing our family
A bit rustic which is what we wanted
Waterfront is equipped with enough canoes kayaks sups and chairs for all but don't expect lifeguards. Signing out boats or instructions. You are on your own
Activities and swim area for kids are great

Our family just returned from our 36th stay at Hemlock Hall and it did not disappoint. Hearty breakfasts and dinners with new and old friends all week while working them off by swimming in the lake. Each year we see the small improvements made around the property...including a whole new bathroom in Guest Cottage this year! The staff at the resort treats you like family and make sure you have everything you need for a perfect Adirondack vacation. Already looking forward to July 2024!!

We’ve enjoyed Hemlock Hall 3 times over two decades. Each time has been lovely. This time was no exception.
Rooms are clean and functional. Food is classic comfort cuisine. The bread is a signature item. Beach and boats are great. Adirondack camping with comfy beds and nice sheets.
We recommend the two-hour tour of Blue Mountain Lake that leaves from the boat livery in town. History and insights into the area are interesting; wild life and views are amazing.
Book early even in Covid times and check back
often as cancellations happen.
We plan to!

We love staying at HH. It feels like coming back home with family and friends. Great beach, kayaks, canoes, row boats, lounge chairs, decks and chocolate chip cookies on Thursday nights! We also enjoy the family style eating and plenty of tables for games. 🥰

My wife and I had a problem while staying at Hemlock Hall, but I’m giving it a 5-star review. Why? Because problems do happen, and Hemlock Hall’s new owner, Anthony, could not have been more gracious and helpful in seeing it to a satisfactory resolution.
Anthony is in the “hospitality business,” but it’s very apparent that welcoming and serving his guests is his calling as well.

We just returned from a stay at Hemlock Hall with friends. Our friends had been there previously, but we were 'newbies'. We will definitely be back to this historic resort! We stayed in a cabin overlooking the lake, just steps away from the dock. The staff was absolutely amazing, providing great food and accommodations, and a lovely atmosphere. So much to do... with hiking and paddling, or you can choose to just relax. Rainy day activities are available as well, with the Adirondack Experience Museum just a few minutes down the road. Highly recommend this gem and can't wait to book again for next year!

Hemlock Hall Resort is a little slice of paradise. The staff, location, accommodations, food, and views are everything you hope for when booking a stay in the Adirondacks. Our cabin was spotless, and the grounds were beautiful. We highly recommend this historic mountain lodge!

We accidentally found Hemlock Hall about 32 years ago on our honeymoon, and we have been coming back ever since. We love the rustic, laid back atmosphere, which is very family friendly, and now our nephew and his family join us on our trips.

Anthony, the owner, and his staff couldn't be any kinder and accommodating. We will be back soon.

What are the summer prices for the lodge and/or the motel?
Answer from Deb R
Ithaca, New York56 contributions17 helpful votes
The Owners (Paul & Susan) and their staff make every effort to accommodate their guests. I am sure they would assist in getting a wheel chair into the main Lodge. There are 2 rooms on the first floor, but I am not knowledgeable enough to answer the question on wheel chair accessibility to the bathrooms that go with these rooms. The Dining Room, Living Room and Wrap Around Porch are are easily accessible from the main level. I would advise you to contact Hemlock Hall yourself to explain your needs, etc.

do you have tv in the rooms
Answer from Deb R
Ithaca, New York56 contributions17 helpful votes
There is no TV in the rooms for Lodge. Truth be told, I never miss it when I'm there. There is so much to do and see, and great people to talk with....plus at night, people gather to play games or do puzzles.
