Detailed Reviews
I didn’t book the reservation for this place it was done for me. It looks very nice from the outside, just like the picture. The room was a different story. Words cannot describe how disgusting this room is but I will try. First of all, the wallpaper is peeling off the walls all around the window and all around the ceiling. The furniture is shabby and the drawers (2) barely work; The top one only opens 4 inches and the bottom one came off the track and onto the carpet! There’s no tissues in this room, there is a coffee pot but the table it is on has no outlet near it. There is coffee and tea but no sweeteners/creamers/stirrers! Of the two lamps on the nightstands, one didn’t work and the shade was broken. There is a refrigerator and a television. The towels and washcloths are thin and scratchy. There is a continental breakfast for those who eat muffins/bagels/cereal/yogurt. Seriously this is probably worse than hotels I have been in in Third World countries.

Good food and lake side restaurant. Margherita was great as were the gator bites. Friend of mine goes alot but my first time. Off the beaten path but worth the drive. Only wish I had a boat! Older crowd that likes to party!

This motel is a bit old and not so clean, but is very well maintained and great for the price you pay. I would recommend this motel for a night stay when you pass by in the Flushing area. The comfort of the beds were ok compared to the price you pay.

Possibly the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in…
This was a last minute booking after a missed flight in JKF as the only hotel on offer.
The stench of dirt and weed hit us first. The customer service at the front desk was nil. Our room was filthy and stinky. A former guest had thoughtfully carved his or her name into the headboard. The furniture was chipped and drawn on.
When I asked for a new room I was told there wasn’t one. I protested and was shown one even worse. Random men were checking in with no luggage at 1am when we did and when one of our bags disappeared and we asked to see cctv our request was dismissed out of hand. I was gutted. All of our holiday buys were in it.
Breakfast. What a joke. Cardboard like muffins and bagels tossed into a box from which you helped yourself by rummaging. No cooler for the butter and cream cheese which was no doubt put out again and again.
The chap on reception who I guess is the manager was rude and unpleasant from the start. The list of ‘don’t dos’ that were up on his desk said it all. No candles or petals or wet beds? No using outdoor space, no butts in the toilets.
The sort of guest that might even consider any of these wouldn’t be likely to be checking in very tired family.
I asked the manager if he honestly would put a friend or family member in one of his rooms. He didn’t answer me.

Stayed due to a delayed flight. Air-conditioning did not work, and it was sweltering. Informed staff, who came to fix it. Still did not work. Got two hours of sleep due to the heat, ahead of a 20 hour flight. When I informed the staff the next morning that the air-conditioning was still not working, they replied "We know. What do you expect at such a cheap hotel?"
At what costed over 180$, a working air-conditioner.

This is a terrible hotel, period. The room reeked of cigarette smoke, so they offered to put in an ozone machine, which smelled even worse. Breakfast is a bad joke. The place just sold for $16 million, and the new owners plan to add a floor and completely renovate. Until they do -- stay anywhere but here!

We are sorry to hear that you did not have an an enjoyable experience and that the room type you had requested was sold out. We are in the process of converting additional permanent non-smoking rooms to the property as per your implied suggestion. Thank you so much for your recommendations and suggestions. Some of the information you have posted is unfortunately not based accurate and based upon hearsay of an incorrect small local newspapers website.

we stayed only for 1 night. this hotel has definetly its best times behind. the elevator doesn't look very trusty. the staff at the front desk were friendly - but seemed to be not very interested in working. everywhere - entrance, corridor to elevator, in elevator, in corridor to room and in breakfast room - there were MANY horrible smelliness. the room was clean and the bed was ok. but it was not looking nice. the breakfast the was most horrible breakfast we had on our hole 4 weeks hiloday. you can't call that "breakfast" ! even the coffee was not enjoyable. the only thing you could eat was the waffle - that you had to bake yourself.
this is ok for 1 night. we stayed in many places - but this place is definetly way much too expensive for what you get.

The picture looks like the room I booked, 2 months in advance, however when I arrived, even thought I actually confirmed the day before, I was told that my booked room was not avaiable, no reason just take it or leave it. I was offered a double room that was awful but in full view of the back alley which they call ample parking. Sadly I missed when my car was broken into. CAVEAT EMPTOR with this place.

Stayed here a few years ago for the convenience of visiting my family in Bayside....it was okay. This time, it was a waste....run down and unfriendly staff. Wouldn't stay here again no matter how convenient. In my three week stay, they had to change my key card four times for not working. Also, my room went un-serviced three times -- and, of course, the first thing they said, each time, that I must have had the "do not disturb" sign on the door, which I didn't. At least five or six times, the breakfast room was out of one thing or another, and I had to walk to the front desk to find someone.

Thank you for staying with us for an extended stay. We appreciate the feedback, and for future reference, it is also a wonderful idea to provide feedback during your stay, especially considering the length of your stay. By giving feedback during your stay, it gives us the opportunity to rectify things and grow from the experience. Keycards are always programmed for 7 days at a time, just as Visa/Mastercard regulations require hotels to bill your credit card once per week, the key cards are programmed similarly for your (and our) security. If your keycard stopped working 3-4 times during your 3 week + visit, then we take this as a compliment and so should you knowing that we are following security protocol and your room was properly secured for the duration of your stay.

Sleeper sofa mattress was so bad I felt jabbed in the ribs all night long — an experience I call “evil” — leaving me exhausted touring NYC the following day. Room was musty and reeked of an ashtray especially the air blowing out of the a/c. There was a faint smell of vomit by the main bed. Probably last renovated in the 80s. Bathroom was decent.
