All the superlatives I think of seem completely insufficient to describe the experience of staying at Klaserie Drift. In my travels to more than 40 countries, it's a rare few places that have failed to present a single opportunity for criticism. But the service, facilities, location, and experience at Klaserie Drift are truly flawless.

The property is stunning. Everything is stylish, impeccably maintained, clean, and functional. From beds to bathtubs to outdoor showers, dining areas and common spaces, it's clear how much thought has gone into the development and design of the camp, and how much care is given to their upkeep. It is truly a luxurious and comfortable stay. The views are incredible, the ambience is charming yet sophisicated, and the vibe feels very peaceful and regenerative.

We adored every member of the staff we interacted with during our stay. They are warm, welcoming, attentive without being obtrusive, and never miss a beat. From waking early to make 4:45am pre-game drive cappuccinos to setting up picturesque sundowners and delightful private dinners on the pool deck, they truly go the extra mile to create a wonderful experience for guests. It was a pleasure to get to know each of them, to learn about their experiences working at the camp, and to feel among friends. Singini, Justice, Brian, Brenda, Prudence -- you were all so delightful. Thank you for your kindness.

We are, admittedly, food snobs, and didn't go on safari expecting to have terrific meals. But while we expected mediocre food, that's absolutely not what we got. Every meal was excellent, from the signature eggs benedict to the fresh assortment of salads at lunch, to the perfectly cooked and well-appointed three-course dinners each night. JB and Lance, you exceeded our expectations at every turn.

And then there was our safari guide, Matt. His deep respect and passion for the animals and the land in the Klaserie were evident at every turn. His knowledge of animal behavior, trees and plants, insects, weather, ecology, astronomy, history, and who knows how many other subjects was completely incredible. He is much more Charles Darwin than Crocodile Dundee, and we felt so fortunate to have private game drives with Matt and pepper him with a million questions from sunrise to sunset. His skill in tracking and locating animals also seemed exceptional -- we were very regularly the only vehicle to see a number of different animals due to his ability to understand and interpret their habits and patterns. Matt, we are so grateful for our time with you and the skills and knowledge you shared with us.

We saw all of the Big 5 in our first three game drives, and having a total of eight in our four nights' stay was hardly enough. We enjoyed exploring different corners of the reserve with the ample time we had, seeking out a variety of creatures and terrains, and being able to "bumble" without pressure. March was a wonderful time to go, with beautiful weather, gorgeous green scenery, and the camp all to ourselves all but one night.

The whole experience was perfection, and we were a bit shocked at how much it grieved us to leave. We cannot wait to come back ... until then, thank you, Klaserie Drift team, for the experience of a lifetime.

After all the Lockdown, we have enjoyed our couple of days in the bush. The stay was wonderful, the Game Ranger was very knowledgeable, friendly and showed me the biggest Leopard that i have ever seen. the acclimation our river suite was outstanding can easily compete with the best in the world, the quality of furnishing and linen and cleanliness was superlative.
The food and beverages however were good but could find improvident in originality and quality. I do understand that due to our present situation in SA in the world, things have been rather challenging.
I can recommend this lodge to anyone looking for a stunning bush/safari holiday a real African experience.

The Amani Safari Camp was an amazing first safari experience. The welcome was warm, the lodge has 4 rooms so attention is also quite personal and your safaris are not crowded.
Rooms were great and bathroom was amazing with a bathtub in case you wanted to chill. The outside swimming pool and laying area was also very nice and we were able to spot so many animals from the pool! Even one day there was an elephant in front of us for quite a bit.
Service was very good, Goodness and Brian and the rest of the team was incredible. Also Brian welcoming us every time we came back from a safari with a warm towel, what a hero! Also JB best chef in town!
We really enjoyed our safaris, the first couple of days with Emily and the last day with Nick, we were able to enjoy so many animals and rangers are also allowed to go off path which was so cool! Also chats in the car were so interesting, the rangers in Klasserie Drift Amani Camp know so much and don't make everything about seeing "the big 5" but pay attention also to flora and fauna around the park, which personally I also found really fascinating.
I will absolutely recommend this lodge to stay if you want to enjoy the Klasserie Reserve!

Words are not sufficient to describe the truly spectacular and magical holiday we had at Misava. It was perfect in every sense - from the quirky, funny, very knowledgeable Matt who was our guide who led us to unbelievable animal sightings and had us laughing all the way; to Pru and Brenda at the front of house for whom no request was too much; to the butlers who served with daily smiles and then JB, the chef! Suffice to say we are all rounder after his wonderful food. The river suites are truly sublime and you can have a bath or outdoor shower whilst watching the Ellies drinking in the Klasserie River below. I cannot recommend this place highly enough and it truly is THE PLACE to go on Safari. It is heaven on earth. Thank you, thank you Matt, Pru, Brenda, JB and the whole team for making our family holiday a once in a lifetime experience!

It is an absolutely beautiful property. Pictures do not do the justice here. As soon as you arrive there, every detail has been done tastefully, and every corner you turn, you'll find beauty. Staffs were absolutely amazing. I left my passport and wallet in the previous accommodation, and as soon as I told Providence about the situation, she was like "I'm on it and I'll make sure that you'll have it by tomorrow." And, she made it happen. I fell sick during the stay, and she would come and check on me, and made sure that I eat something. You really feel like you're in good hands.

The safari experience with Monica was so amazing! She is so experienced and knowledgable. On our morning safari, she wanted to make sure that we see the lions, so she was tracking the lions using his traces, which was a super interesting experience in itself. And, we actually did see the lions that morning and it was just so incredible.

We originally booked it for one night, but we were so mesmerized that we extended our stay for one more night. It was overall a 5-star experience and I'd love to come back here!

We absolutely loved our stay at Amani Safari Camp. From the moment we arrived, the staff and guide were extremely friendly and helpful. The camp itself was beautifully and tastefully decorated and our bedroom suite was super clean and had everything we needed. The chef on the property did an excellent job of preparing fresh, delicious food, just for us. The game drives were the icing on the cake - cannot recommend this camp enough, it was the perfect safari experience!

Klaserie drift Masiva was our choice for our weeknded away with friends. Apone arrival Prudence the lovely front of house lady welcomed us with a beutiful smile and warm welcome. Bags were taken to the relevant rooms and we were just in time to sit down for one of many delicious meals prepared by Chef JB who also was so friendly and welcoming. Drinks were served by our kind butleress Sphiwe who was at our call every min of the day. Enjoyed cocktails and beers next to the pool and what a treat it was. Beutiful sun sets and sun rises and the game drives were such a pleasure with Mat our Guid. We were spoilt with our sightings and was some of the highlights of our getaway
Our room the River room was incredible. Absoulout luxury it was. Beutiful ambiance in the rooms lovely bath indoor shower and out door shower. All the staff were so professional and kind and was an absolute please to have spent our weekend away at Klaserie drift.

We had booked the Garden View which is perfect but were upgraded to the River View which is beautiful with views out to the dry riverbed where elephants can be seen walking by. The pool deck is stunning and the food from chef JB out of this world. I wish he had a restaurant in Toronto. The game drives were top notch and we saw 4 out of the 5 big 5 the first day we arrived with our wonderful guide Emily. She could hear the hyenas chomping on bones from many meters away. Unbelievable. And when we followed her hunch, there was indeed a hyena eating an impala bone. We got up close to all the animals and were never disappointed. The staff at the lodge were all so kind and accommodating and they even gave us a beautiful anniversary dinner and left rose petals on our bed and around our bathtub which is very luxurious with candles beside the bath. My husband loved the outdoor shower. If you want first class luxury with great game sightings this is the place to go.

Our stay at Amani Safari Camp was an altogether unforgettable experience. The Camp Itself is tasteful smart but unpretentious with all the possible conforts yet surrounded by nature and respectful of it. The staff and service was impeccable with great attention to detail and making you feel welcomed and part of the family. Amazing happy memories to cherish, thank you.

We booked last minute but were so pleased with our choice. Our stay at Amani was brilliant and we’d definitely come again! The camp is small and intimate and feels very high-end. Everything was so well organised, staff were super friendly and the game drives were incredible! We got very lucky and saw lots of animals up close, including lions, rhinos, elephants, giraffes and even the elusive wild dogs! Highly recommend.
