Londolozi lives the meaning of its name….the protection and care shown to people, animals and the environment shines through at all times , we loved it. We also enjoyed finding out about the history of this beautiful place and the continued close family involvement, there are so many lovely photos around the lodges showing the people who have been responsible for the development of Londolozi since 1926. Our game drives were fabulous and Keagan and Ray delivered wonderful sightings every day. The hospitality is also just perfect led by Simon, Rob and Nico backed up by the best food and drinks we have had on Safari and multiple different dining locations/ meals. We were warmly greeted and then spoiled from start to finish of our one week stay. My shoe split and so I asked for some glue to try and fix it, no, Simon took it away sent it to the village, where they re stitched it to perfection, all done whilst we ate breakfast, back within an hour, amazing. Finally the accommodation is faultless and kept spotlessly clean with fabulous comfy beds to fall asleep in each night after a fun filled day. We tried to think of things they could do better/different but couldn’t from our perspective this place is perfect.

What else can be said that hasn't already been shared?

This was, without doubt, a memorable experience for a lifetime. The staff, the food, the amenities, the common areas, the rooms with the comfortable bed and linens, stocked minibar, plunge pool, spa, grounds, all add up to create this amazing and incredibly relaxing stay. This is luxury, but not pretentious and stuffy. I was nervous at first that this was the family camp and would be overrun with children (it was not) and not as nice as the other camps that are connected together by a pathway. The Founder's Camp was incredible and the common areas seemed every bit as nice as the other camps, and they all share the same spa, pool, shops, and of course the safari game drives.

Of course, the daily safari excursions are why you are here, and the staff at Londolozi did not disappoint. Our group of 3 were joined by a group of 2 and we had ample room in the safari vehicle for the morning and evening adventures. Greg and Equalizer combined make an excellent team, ensuring we were comfortable, hilariously entertained, and informed about the flora and fauna as we drove about their private property. We saw all the game you'd expect to see. Morning and evening game drives are an incredible thing, much more than I was anticipating. Experience it for yourself: my review of that would not do it justice.

For a special treat, we were offered sundowners in the bush on our last evening as a surprise. Amy took great care of us with a complete setup, including chairs, drinks, and appetizers somewhere in the bush. A rhino even joined us, and while he was necessarily uninvited he was on his best behavior (but pretty terrifying at one point!).

The meals are excellent, and our porter took care of all of our needs. Great selections of wine! I cannot remember everyone's name, but every staff member does go above and beyond.

Take time to do the village tour to learn about how it operates by the local guide that works at the shop and on property.

Last tidbit, do go to the spa. I can highly recommend a massage in the spa...and amarula in your coffee for the morning game drive ;-).

Thank you Londolozi!

Londolozi is awesome! This is the only camp that we have returned to in all our safaris. Their conservation practices along with a reverence for Mandela as well as their Guests is unprecedented. What a surprise to find Founders Camp totally redone. The accommodations were superb—each space so comfortable yet elegant. Besides the wonderful bedroom and exceptional bath area we enjoyed our own terrace with plunge pool. Outside shower too if you are feeling free in your privacy!! The Staff is always gracious and anxious to share their talents with their guests.

Our game drives were fabulous and the Rangers so knowledgeable about wildlife in the bush. We saw most everything except Wild Dog and Pangolin. The renowned Leopards did not disappoint with even a cub to drool over. Lion prides are currently creating new dynamics. Rhino were awesome and who gets to sit in a Land Rover in the middle of a Cape Buffalo herd? The elephants with little ones creating side shows are just the best! Rangers Sean and Robbie were so kind to put up with family dynamics—teenagers that arrived totally worn out and our new son-in-law that knew nothing of animals often confusing impalas with llamas!!! Lol.

Food and libations were fantastic. Top shelf Everything! The Boma is always special as well as dining on the deck space overlooking the scenery often with grazing animals. Londolozi set up a stunning 50th Anniversary celebration for all of us in the bushveld. We were surprised with a fire pit, spirits and wine beginning with a Champagne toast and delicious apps. They also created a spectacular large oilcloth type scroll that honored the occasion!! I hand carried it all the way back to the US. That memory as well as all the others that were made on this family adventure will be with us forever. We loved the stay.

We had high expectations on our stay at Londolozi and they were handily surpassed. No detail is overlooked here. We brought our six year old on our first trip to Africa, and despite there not being any other kids near her age, she was incredibly engaged and educated by the incredible ranger (Robyn) and tracker (Jerry) we were assigned (to our own private vehicle, which they try to do for most families). No detail was overlooked and we felt that everyone went beyond in trying to provide an exceptionally curated and unique experience. For example, noting that we liked to run, our ranger arranged for us to finish a morning ride with a four mile run through the bush (while the vehicle and tracker followed closely!). We ended at surprise breakfast in a treehouse along the Sabi river. On the day of checkout (we departed at 12:30pm) they still made the room up for us while we were on our morning drive. I found this to be a remarkable touch to make our stay comfortable and exquisitely beautiful until the last moment. Speaking of that, we flew out of the Skukuza airport (the most gorgeous airport) and the trip leaving the lodge was essentially a bonus safari ride as we saw elephants, giraffes, wildabeasts, impalas and more! I am so glad we splurged on this once in a lifetime experience! And as for value, I do recommend the walking tour of the village where you can see all the behind the scenes operations. It was incredibly illuminating to see the operational workings and hear the family's ethos on conservation and sustainability. 100% this was the right lodge for our family and for yours too if you care about these things.

I stayed at Londolozi Founders Camp with my parents and brother and it was exceptional. Every element of the lodge, people and experience is five stars.
Simon (manager) and team truly make you feel at home, there is nothing they will not arrange to make your stay more comfortable. He goes above and beyond and truly made our stay one we will never forget.
The game sightings were out of this world with leopard cubs, wild dog, herd of 300 buffalo being stalked by lion and cheetah topping the list. Jess (guide) and Advice (tracker) were extremely knowledgeable and make every drive a great experience.
There also needs to be mention of the food, and how delicious it all was as well as multiple options at every meal.
Londolozi a true five-star luxury safari experience

My mother has been traveling here for years. I've heard about it for a long time. My wife and I just experienced what it means to be part of the Londolozi family. The people are so personable. Ashleigh, Simon, Cute, and everyone else take the time to know you personally. There isn't anything any of them wouldn't do. Then you have the facilities. We walked into our room, out on to the private deck and saw a mother elephant and a baby that wasn't more than a month old. If you really wanted to, you could spend the entire time in a very private atmosphere and still see wildlife. The food was outstanding. Chane, the Executive Chef, and all the other kitchen staff know how to prepare a vast variety of food. And they tailor it to specific likes/dislikes/allergies. Pair that up with a huge wine selection and you will be satisfied. Oh yeah,,,,there's great game viewing. We came to see the leopards and weren't disappointed. There was a pack of wild dogs that we saw a couple of times during the stay. You couldn't ask for more. We arrived as guests and left as part of the family. We're already thinking about our return trip.

There are many types of safari experiences and it is difficult for me to put my finger on why the Sabi Sand area next to Kruger National Park is so special (second time there but first time at Londolozi). But Londolozi will long be remembered for its genuine hospitality. The staff went out of their way to cater to our interests both in the bush and at the lodge. Special thanks to Kim and her team for curating a special wine tasting under the stars (and satellite spotting) Kelsey and Bennet our ranger and tracker were such a great team, working off each other's strengths to find the animals and birds that piqued our interest. I hope I am fortunate enough to come back again and experience Londolozi in a different season so that I get another perspective of life in the bush. Oh, and by the way the food is delicious!

An absolutely remarkable place to visit,

From the minute we stepped off of the plane until the moment we left, things could not have been better.

The staff were incredibly attentive and nothing was too much trouble, the food was fantastic & the attention to detail remarkable.

As for the safari, we saw almost everything there was to see, which I think was for to our guide Kirsten who had so much enthusiasm, it made every drive a full adventure!

Although only there for three days, the whole family have so many memories that will last a lifetime.

If you want to go somewhere very special, then Londolozi is the place to go.

Special thanks not just the key front of house staff, but also to the 250.+ staff who sit behind the operation and make everything happen.

Hi Lesley, the best option for honeymoon would be the Private Granite Suites, however Tree Camp is also a wonderful camp which could be another good option as there are 6 suites, rather than the 3 suites at the Private Granite Suites.
