The last time we stayed there, pre-covid, they had a lovely breakfast but due to circumstances beyond their control they can no longer offer that service. That is a travesty and I hope they can get that changed.
Would we stay again, yes.
After looking at the prices of anything decent in Santa Fe, we stumbled across Inn at the Delta. Good reviews, good price, sounded good. We ended up staying at a bunch of bnb's along the way, this was by far the best.
Upon checking in, we met the family running the Inn who were genuinely happy to have us stay with them. While I would expect that from the family, I was impressed when every single employee we met, over the entire stay, introduced themselves by name and made it a point that if we needed ANYTHING please do not hesitate 'to ask me personally, I will get it done'. It was genuine and sincere and meant a lot coming out on our first post-Covid trip. We felt 100% safe and welcome at the Inn.
The room itself was magnificent. We were on a Southwest Trail of the Ancients trip and this room fit the theme so very well. It was so easy to envision a 1500's experience in the Southwest, with Air Conditioning and a fridge. The room was spacious and stunning and our bathroom had a jacuzzi tub. I know, 1500's be damned, a jacuzzi tub was wonderful after a day of hiking and photography.
I happened to brush up against one of the walls. It was totally smooth. This wasn't drywall made to look like adobe walls, it was incredibly good workmanship. The tile floors too. Could have been a little brighter at night, but the dimness of the lights added to the effect.
We stayed at a few really good bnb's, this was by far the best. If you want a luxury experience in the Santa Fe area for a reasonable price, stay at Inn at the Delta. We were about 40 minutes from downtown Santa Fe.
While this sounds like a travel brochure, I assure I am a real person who teaches in Los Angeles. Feel free to hit my profile up with questions you might have.
However, there are small issues that make this a 3, not a 4 star property. We alerted the hotel to these issues, so maybe they have been remedied.
All of the lamps are wired to the main switch, so reading at night means you have to get up to turn off the bedside light. No breakfast is served, which wouldn't be so bad except that the restaurant next door, which the desk clerk referred us to, doesn't open for breakfast early, and does not stay open late either - very inconvenient if you want a quick bite before going out or coming back.
In the room, the screens don't fit, so you can't open the windows without bugs coming in; the bath fan fixture is missing; charging electronics is not easy since there are not many outlets and 1 power cord; there are skylights in the room which wake you up with bright sun very early, unless you wear a eye shade; and no luggage racks for suitcases.
We will probably stay here again but there definitely is room for improvement.
A few reasons for 4 and not 5 stars: It is advertised as a B&B but does not serve breakfasts. The parking lot is not secured or patrolled and you have to sign a damage/theft waiver. Some maintenance is warranted inside to address water stains on the ceilings.
