The room was fine. I had a studio king and it was spacious and clean. Service, not so much. Of course, there was nothing offered for the traditional evening social but that’s probably everywhere due to COVID-19. Now, I’m not sure what the Covid restrictions are for breakfast but all you get here is a brown bag with a small water bottle, a small apple juice, and a small breakfast bar (and I really don’t like chocolate on my breakfast so my breakfast bar was inedible). No fruit! It was the bare minimum they could possibly offer. But what really disappointed me is that they didn’t even offer coffee in the breakfast or lobby area. I asked about coffee at the grab and go breakfast area and the staff person, who was sitting out of sight (I could only see her feet) said that the only coffee was from the coffee maker in your room. Well I had already packed up and my room was at the total opposite corner of the building so I wasn’t going back to make coffee. I think this should have been explained better upon check-in. I have stayed at other hotels that offer this so I don’t think COVID-19 restrictions preclude this. But what really frustrates me is that the staff person could not even bother to get up to come and speak to me. That is really terrible customer service.

I been here on and off for the past 3 months. Never had a problem with any staff that works there. They are very kind and helpful when ever I talk to any one of their staff members. This place actually treated me like a human being. Always helpful and always accommodating any request I asked of them. I love staying at residence inn by the Marriott. Not all of it has been this great of experience for me. I would love to stay there when ever I get a chance to be around that area again. Every time I stay there I walk into the room it always smell good and cleanness of the room makes me feel comfortable right away. Thank you for all the kind words and always being there for me when I needed any help. I appreciated y’all a lot there. Just want to let y’all know that I do see it and it doesn’t go unnoticed. Hope to see y’all soon.

This is a great place to stay and kick back if you’re in the area and need a reasonably priced place to stay. Warm up by the fire with some drinks or go for a swim in the pool, just don’t expect great views from the room. However, the exceptional service from the staff, as well as the spaciousness and cleanliness of the rooms make up for the lack of views!

This Marriott property was rather a disappointment, or at least our experience here was. I'm not sure if it was an issue with HVAC or what, but there appears to be no AC in the common spaces, including the lobby, hallways, pool, breakfast area, etc. At breakfast this morning the thermostat said it was 82* which is incredibly uncomfortable in July. The pool water is also exceptionally warm, which our girls loved, but it makes the pool area feel like a sauna so if you're not getting in so it's not pleasant to sit and supervise, particularly given the lack of AC and the fact you can't open any of the windows to even get air flow. There were no towels in the pool area either of the days we went swimming. We had a room for 4 people, king bed with a pullout couch. We arrived to find only 3 towels in the room, and at 10 at night, discovered we also had no bedding for the pullout couch. I went down to ask for some and the front desk said she couldn't give us a blanket (a necessity since the room AC seems to work in overdrive, maybe to make up for the lack of AC in the rest of the building) but that she'd talk to maintenance about bringing one up. They didn't, so we had to go down again to ask and this time they provided one. All in all the room was 'ok'... carpet pulled up in multiple places along the transition to tile (photos included), the bed was not comfy and the pillows are the awful ones that pancake as soon as your head touches it. The breakfast serving area is incredibly cramped but it had a decent selection. Staff was friendly. Rooms were quiet and we couldn't hear a lot of outside noise.

Had a terrible time getting to this hotel. Desk clerk unable to give accurate directions. Despite being less than a mile from downtown Woodbridge, it's about a 20 minute drive. One has to go the opposite direction on US 9 for a couple miles, exit and reenter US 9 going north, then exit US 9 about 2 miles north of the motel, and get back on US 9 going south, to backtrack the same 2 miles to actually access the motel.

Room was average, but television was oriented so that only one person could watch at a time. Fan noise very loud and woke us up every time it roared on or turned off. Breakfast selections very limited.

Final cost of room was $193.72, but $220 was charged to credit card, so I had to follow up with that. I don't need this kind of grief when travelling.

The rooms and space were a bit nicer than expected, high ceilings, modern decor and the kitchen area was well stocked. Everyone was welcoming.

There was a tiny gym (AC was broken and it was sweltering) and a heated indoor pool (hot tub out of commission). The breakfast was almost inedible if you are looking for low carb options (although the oatmeal looked tasty). The bed was not the best, the TV didn’t seem to work. The market was not well stocked - no food or bar on site either.

I paid $420 for a 2-br suite, which really didn’t seem worth it, especially for a hotel on the highway.

I tried reaching out to various emails and have zero response.
I had a room block for my wedding and almost 30 rooms were booked under my block. There were several issues on my wedding day. This should have been a seamless day.

I booked a double room so that my bridesmaids and I could all get ready together on wedding day. On my wedding day, the staff asked us if we would be willing to give up our room because they double booked. I declined, but it was unbelievable that they would ask the bride to give up her room. I cannot fathom how they overbooked when we had a room block in place to avoid this. They also asked a few of my guests to give up their rooms for the same reason.

My bridesmaid booked a room for the night before and of wedding day. This was supposed to be the same room, because why would she change rooms after one night? They made her switch rooms nonetheless. Once I checked into my room on wedding night, we realized it was the very room they kicked her out of. It even said “Good morning, 'her name'” on the television. Not only was this inconvenient for her, it was not the room that was promised to me and my husband. We were promised the “honeymoon suite” with a fireplace.

I was also promised there would be three shuttles for my event, and there was only ONE. For all of my guests, there should have been the expected three shuttles. When deciding which hotel to choose, I toured the hotel and was told there would be three shuttles. This was very disappointing, as I had to wait for the shuttle to come back on my own wedding night.

I was so excited to book with the Residence Inn because the property was nice and shuttles were included, however I was extremely disappointed and upset with the way everything turned out.

My son and his wife are staying here on business. Tomorrow is his first birthday that I have not been able to see him. I sent a banner via Uber (after calling the hotel and asking if they could tape it on his door while he was out) and the staff took the time to make him a gift bag, type him a bday note, decorate their room, and hang his banner!!! THANK YOU! You all are THE BEST!! I will be a Marriott customer for life!!

Staff was great and attentive. Very brief stay, but the room with the kitchenette was more than enough, spacious and gave me ample room. Older property but clean, tidy and in good condition. On top of all this I avoided a major headache, as the staff reached out to immediately after I had left a significant personal item in the room. Thanks again to the team!

Hotel operator is cutting cost for every small things. There was no shower gel, hand soap in room. No water bottle to buy at front kiosk. Breakfast quality was very very poor. No fruits. Breakfast was sub standard and not comparable standard to any other Residence Inn. Will never stay at the property.
