I wasn't sure if it would have been a fair review given this specific property's amenities are mainly closed due to pandemic: Pool, Gym, Free Breakfast area are closed for now, but figured made sense to provide feedback as more folks are doing the staycation.
I felt very safe at this property. Hilton has done its best to follow state safety protocols and this property certainly made me feel they cared about their guests. The preference is contactless check-in but you can check in and out at the main counter. All Hilton employees I observed were wearing masks, guests are required to wear masks while on common areas. Your room is secured by their seal of cleanliness letting you know no one else has entered the room. I was at this property in July and August and there was consistency in their protocols. Though at this time they are not providing free breakfast, they offer a bag of items in the morning to grab and go. The bag contains a bottle of water, pastry and treat, nothing really out of this world.
Room accommodations were comfortable, bathrooms big with spacious counters. As mentioned, unless requested, there won't be daily housekeeping but I did request one day for cleaning and they did a fantastic job, new set of towels were also placed. This would have been a 5 star review for this Hampton Inn hotel if the toilet pressure were better. I stayed at the hotel in July and August in two different rooms and floors and both times the toilet pressure was not so great. The rooms have the basics: closet, desk area, seating, cable TV channels and good quality air conditioning.
Ample parking and if you are a Diamond status with Hilton, you have assigned parking in front of the hotel. The staff we spoke to were cordial and friendly. I must say, though it is not a part of the hotel, this property is ideally located within an open mall; you will find an Ale House, Longhorn, Walmart, Dunkin, McDonald's, Panda Express, Chipotle all within walking distance! It was perfect for us and the children to have options.
I would definitely return to the Hampton Inn in Woodbridge, for a quick weekend short stay!

I have stayed at this property many times, and have always given it a decent review. I was very impressed with the recent renovations, and the breakfasts usually are ample for me. The hotel is the closest Hilton family property to the Metropark train station. Since I get off work around midnight, I can get a good night of sleep and then easily catch a train someplace the next morning.
On this occasion on Friday 1/25/20, I had worked up in Hudson County until just past Midnight. I arrived at the hotel around 12:40 AM. After check-in, I wanted to get to my room, watch a little TV, and get some sleep. Upon entering the room, I spread out my belongings as I always do and started getting ready. Then I put the TV on around 1 AM, to find that it was not working.
Putting yourself in my shoes, what would anyone do at that point? I wanted to get some sleep. It is 1 AM. I could have called the front desk, but what would have been the options at that point? The reactions could have been:
1) Call an engineer, if one existed at that hour, and I would have to await their arrival.
2) Change my room, which would have involved getting dressed again, rounding up my stuff, and then moving and unpacking again.
Neither option was attractive to me, so I decided I would just go to bed and inform them the next day when asked how my stay was.
Come the following morning, I got ready, left the room, has breakfast, and then it came time to check-out. The person at the desk did not ask me how my stay was, so I did not say anything. Being a HH Diamond member who stays in portfolio hotels 30 times a year, I am always asked that question. Since I wasn't, I just turned and left the building. I had another method of contact, and that was the customer service phone text that I had received before my stay the prior day.
After I boarded my train at Metropark, I then texted to the hotel the same photo that is attached here. The person who responded said they would send an engineer right to my room. I was long gone by that time and miles away. When I got a Google Maps message asking me to rate my stay, I also attached the photo. A response from the hotel told me I should have let them know when I was there. In retrospect, I felt that they were blaming the customer. I think that while the issue was not 100% the hotel's fault, any guest should expect at a minimum a comfortable bed, running hot water, and a working television. Two out of three for me.
I was going to let this issue lie after the passage of time, but since Trip Advisor knew I stayed and wanted to hear my report, I decided to tell as I saw things. While this property has a lot going for it with its convenient location and updated décor, this stay left a bad taste in my mouth, both with the initial incident and the front desk indifference to the situation.

Welcome back, Kevin, and thank you for sharing your honest feedback with us. We're glad you enjoyed our recent renovations and always hot breakfast offerings. The location of the hotel is ideal for your commute on the train which we love. Thanks for mentioning that. Of course, we are very sorry about the TV not working in your room. Additionally, we apologize for any lack of service you feel you received on our part. Anything that is brought to the attention of agents during your stay will be addressed quickly and efficiently. That is our Hampton promise. Again, we are sorry about this miscommunication and hope to rectify this when you visit us again in the future. Thank you.

The hotel was a little difficult find and harder to get back on the Garden State, thankful for GPS. The hotel was clean, the bed and pillows comfortable, there was not a room safe (wish all Hamptons would install them), the room was quiet but I would suggest getting a room that does not face the ale house as it could get noisy. The staff was friendly. The hotel is close to two restaurants right in the parking lot, so you don't have to go far for food.

Dear 605harry, Thank you for sharing your hotel experience with us on Trip Advisor. We are sorry you had some difficulty finding the hotel. New Jersey is full of U-Turns! For GPS accuracy, it's best to use the following address: 320 Highway 9 North, Woodbridge, NJ. Once you arrived, it was our pleasure to welcome you with warm guest service, as well as, clean and comfortable amenities. We're glad you enjoyed the hotel, the walkable restaurants, and the overall level of service we provide. Thank you, we hope to see you again soon.

Do not even consider staying at this hotel. We reserved a room and were traveling with a toddler, so I called twice and confirmed - twice - that they had a full size crib available, not a pack and play. I called to confirm a third time the day before our trip, because something told me I should, and was told they have no full size cribs, only pack and plays. We scrambled to find a crib rental company, which cost as much as a night of our entire stay, so I requested that they comp one night due to their repeated errors, which the desk clerk and the GM refused to do. The GM simply said, "I'll just cancel your reservation" the day before our trip.
We got to the hotel at 3pm, the time of check-in, and were told, unapologetically, that our room wasn't ready. We waited an hour in the lobby for the room with our toddler after traveling all day. Not a single staff member made any type of apology whatsoever. After an hour, I finally asked again if we could please have the room, and the desk clerk shoved a key at me, said, "here," rolled her eyes, and walked away. We got to the room and it was FILTHY. Visible dirt and old food all over the floor. I asked for housekeeping to please come vacuum, and even after they did I found crumbs on the counter, the mini fridge reeked of something rotten, there was dried food all over the bathroom floor, and A PRESS ON FINGERNAIL on the floor in the kitchen area. Our toddler was obviously everywhere on the floor, so we booked a different hotel and left immediately. On our way out, we spotted two cockroaches on the floor in the hallway. I let the front desk staff know why we were leaving, and she laughed, took my key, and said, "bye!"
We were in the room for thirty minutes of our two night reservation. I have made repeated attempts to get our money back due to how absolutely disgusting the accommodations were, the fact that we were lied to repeatedly, the fact that we waited an hour for our room, and how unbelievably rude the staff was, and they have refused to refund even a dime. I am now having to dispute the charges with our credit card company.
Do not, under any circumstances, waste your money at this absolute dump of a hotel.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn Woodbridge for one night during a family trip. It was close to our final destination and had the usual excellent amenities. Check in was fast, the room was large and clean. We used the pullout couch which was surprisingly comfortable (I'm told). We had to request extra towels and bedding for the pullout and they were delivered within 5 minutes of the request - wow! The pool was indeed closed (we weren't planning on using it) and the Internet connect was quite good. The included breakfast was a full buffet with waffles, bagels, eggs, turkey sausage - a plus for me as I have gout and can't eat red meat, and fresh fruit and juice, pretty much the pre-pandemic assortment. I did not experience any of the issues others have posted recently so I give this stay 5 stars.

Candice at check-in greeted us very warmly, though it was quite late at night. Sure wish it were required for staff to wear name tags. The room was nice, though even solid wooden doors looked ravaged by many guests. The speedy elevator was down a long tiled-floor hallway, which meant the absence of dirty carpeting. The lobby was nicely and brightly lit and felt very spacious. Breakfast was okay, though missing any fresh fruit. Note to management, check the breakfast area to fix tables that wobble.

The hotel could use some updating but overall was fine. However, when we placed a call to the front desk requesting more towels, we were told that they were available at the front desk and we could pick them up. Really?? I understand that many businesses are short staffed. So much for service!

The front desk staff (esp. Patrica?) were excellent and very friendly. The room was clean, spacious and bed was comfortable, and they honored my request for a quiet room away from noise. Area seemed safe, even though it was super busy because of the restaurants in the parking lot. Breakfast was better than most HIs, with nice cheese omelet and pork ham. The steakhouse is directly attached, which allowed me to do take out and easily walk to my room with hot food!! I will stay here again. Thanks.

Not a good experience…. Checked out next day.
The pool was closed and the internet was spotty. The area was in a undesirable area but did have some restaurants and a Walmart near it.
The room was overwhelming smell of carpet fresher… enough to choke you.

Definitely need to call hotel about shuttle service.
Longhorn Steakhouse is attached to hotel and you do get a free item coupon if staying at hotel. Can get very busy on Friday and Saturday evening.
Millers Ale House is the other restaurant and it is across the parking lot directly across from the second set of doors of the hotel. We did not eat here.
