New hotel located in Weehawken. Right across the Hudson river. Comfortable beds, not the pillows, spacious rooms. We were upgraded to Deluxe room. Hotel lobby is located on the six floor. Very convenient location, across the ferry station to New York City, one way per person is $9.00 to Midtown. Breakfast is not included but there is a Dunkin Donuts in the first floor, you can also enjoy your own coffee from your room

This hotel's location is fabulous. We stayed for a couple of nights between Christmas and New Years and were glad for our choice.

We opted for a city view room and the view is knock down dead amazing. It's opposite 57th Street and you can see straight down the street and amuse yourselves identifying the various skyscrapers. One caveat: the rooms facing the river are not fully soundproof so you can hear the ferry announcements which seem to start up at 6AM.

The hotel is clean, the bed linens delightful, and the room sufficiently large.

The common areas are very stylish. We had coffee in the mornings and drinks at the bar at night, again with the great river and city views. There are telescopes in the lobby to see into the city, but alas they weren't working; we saw young kids playing with them and that's probably why; it's a wonderful idea and let's hope they get them fixed.

The hotel is built over a garage so entering it is a bit odd -- you park in the garage ($) and take an elevator up to the lobby and change elevators for your room. If you come by cab you can just take an elevator from the ground floor to the lobby.

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for choosing to stay with us over the holidays and for providing a detailed review. It make us proud to hear that you noticed and enjoyed the little touches that are placed all over the hotel to enhance the guest experience. The telescopes are usually very exciting for all the little guests we have. It is possible the focus was tampered with and it is a quick fix. In 2020 we are planning in adding a few more amenities and hope to welcome you back again this year so you can enjoy each one. All the best from all of us at EnVue.

I booked this hotel for a 6 day stay. Upon checking in the hotel smelled amazing and had amazing views right from the lobby. The person who checked us in didn’t really give us info on any amenities or restaurants within the hotel or explain any perks of staying with them as a Marriott gold member. He just seemed like he was tired and wanted to go home. The reason I’m giving this hotel 4 stars is because of the room, views, and location. The hotel is clean and beautiful. Housekeeping came every day and the shower is the best part. This is the best hotel shower I’ve ever had as it has a way to switch to a handheld shower and rainfall. They also have an amazing AC unit within the room that cools exceptionally well for a hotel room and provide an espresso machine WITH pods that they refill (something my husband was very happy about)
The other reason I’m giving 1 star is because as a gold member I’m eligible for upgrades. The first night checking in I was told there were no rooms which is understandable as it was a Sunday. I went back 2 days later to see if I could be upgraded and a person named Chris said it would be hard to upgrade as the amount of incoming guests would be booking and there were no clean rooms. He then proceeds to tell me that if I give him a “good review and mention his name” he would hook me up with an upgrade. I’m a gold member and shouldn’t have to be coerced into writing a review for an upgrade. He said to write the review which we did and come back in an hour and he would help. We came back after an hour and he said to give him some more time. We ended up leaving and not even trying to wait for any upgrade. I felt like he was looking for a promotion or something but it rubbed us off the wrong way. The staff could be better. I didn’t think they went out of there way to help.
Other then that I would stay here again just for how beautiful the rooms are. The parking is $22 a day and the ferry is walking distance which is amazing if you wanna take a trip to NYC.

The Envue Autograph hotel is located opposite the Port Imperial Ferry terminal and is a nice weekend escape from New York. The lobby of the hotel is located on the 6th floor and you are greeted by the amazing views of the Manhattan skyline. Check-in was seamless and efficient and Chris at the front desk was able to provide us with a nice room upgrade for our birthday weekend – Marriott Bonvoy status did help.

The hotel was fairly new and had a nice modern look and feel. The rooms were modern and we had an amazing view of the Manhattan skyline. The light switches were very well camouflaged and however annoying it might be to some people, it did add to the aesthetics and modern feel. I tried using the Bonvoy app to communicate with the front desk and request items however was disappointed with the lack of timely response and follow through. In the end, I had to go to the front desk to request basic items for the room. We were also told complimentary bottled water was not provided at this hotel by one person at the front desk and another had told us that the supply of bottled water had run out so we had to make do with the water dispenser in the lobby.

Breakfast – unless it is part of your room package, do not expect complimentary breakfast for being a Bonvoy elite member. I was offered a $10 food and beverage credit or points – as one other reviewer had mentioned, take the points. We did try breakfast on our first day. The breakfast area was tucked around the back corner of the hotel. It was disappointing as I had expected a better layout. There were about 5 breakfast options that averaged around $15-$20 per person. Breakfast was good, probably not worth paying for especially for elite Bonvoy members who get complimentary hot breakfast at other Bonvoy brand hotels.

In terms of cleanliness, the room felt clean however, we did find a sandwich in the minibar fridge from the prior guest. I did raise it to the front desk after our first night but I guess that message was never communicated to house-keeping as the sandwich remained for the duration of our stay. Hopefully the next guest will not find the same aged sandwich in their room.

Overall service was below average and in speaking with the staff, most were fairly new at the hotel. I had issues with dining however, the one highlight was that issue was resolved by Anita (F&B manager) and Maureen, so thank you.

I am deeply disappointed at the hotel despite its positives.

1. Fake description. When I booked a courtyard room, I was expecting a view with a lush courtyard with plants per your photos. Not an empty rooftop view. This is utterly unacceptable, I felt like I was conned!!!

2. Inconvenient location coupled with unhelpful staff. The location is relatively Inconvenient, but I knew it when I book it. But to make it worse your hotel doesn't even provide a basic map of the area when I asked your concierge. They only have a New York City Map. That is such a basic thing to provide.
Staff was also cold and unhelpful.

3. Great interior design, but a lot needs to be improved.
The light behind the bed, took me 10 minutes to look all over the room to find that tiny black switch beside my bed. Please put a label or make it bigger.
The lights on the nightstand is also finicky and feels like they will fall out. Especially for the for the adjustable reading lights.
The handle for the wardrobe feels like it will come out as well, put an extra screw there please!
Most importantly, your fridge is not screwed in. I, as an adult, did not hurt myself when I open the fridge and when it tilt forward to a point that it almost land on my feet. But what if I am a toddler?? This is again such a basic thing that please do improve!

Short version:

GOOD:
Bar/restaurant greeters very friendly,
Housekeepers happy and friendly and given cleanliness and quality of room great at their jobs.
Valet staff friendly and efficient.
Manhattan skyline view incredible.

BAD:
Bar staff were the rudest people I’ve ever met in the service industry but more inexcusable all were terrible at making drinks, bad enough your attitudes stink but to be so bad at the one thing you’ve been hired to do…
No concierge/luggage carts or assistance.
$150 per night incidentals deposit taken on our debit card but not returned for 3-5 days.

Long Version:

Arrived to be told there weren’t enough carts or staff to help with luggage, okay fine we’re not precious and we got our bags 3000+ miles so 10 stories further won’t kill us…

Headed down for drinks the first night, view was incredible but bar staff could not have been ruder, they started off by chatting amongst themselves for a few minutes, then a waitress came over with two plates of food and apparently it takes 4 people to figure out where they should go.
We finally got barman’s attention and ordered two drinks, and we wait….barman walks off… so we wait some more, after a few minutes girl behind bar asks if we’d like to order, explanation from her for our original barman disappearing? ‘he’s lost his mobile phone’… he returns at this point and makes a frankly undrinkable gin and tonic and a rum and ginger ale (I ordered rum & ginger beer but who cares right?).

This quality of service continued throughout the weekend.

So we spent the rest of the weekend staying here for our friends wedding watching mistake after mistake being made by the front of house staff, so many that frankly I can’t be bothered to write them all out.

My recommendation if you have to be in NJ would be to stay here for the views but eat/drink somewhere, anywhere else. If it’s just the view you want then pop over on the ferry at sunset, take a bunch of pictures and head back to Manhattan.

While the room appointments looked very nice, functionality of the shower hardware and the impossible to find light switches (headboard area) left me really irritated. A guest should not have to use their cellphone flashlight to find a miniscule rocker switch on a dark wood panel to turn off the lights behind the headboard. Don't get me started on the shower hardware. Seriously??

On the plus side, the bed was comfortable enough and I liked the square toilets.

People who design the hotel rooms should spend a couple of nights in the model room to see how their choices function for the guest and then adjust. It's the little things that leave the most lasting impression.

I cannot say enough about this property. My daughter was being married near this hotel and it was perfect. The bride and her mom had a suite which was where she dressed and had photos taken. The hotel staff was wonderful and brought us everything we needed and the cooperated with the photographer and videographer. They sent up a delicious breakfast with many choices so no one went hangry and staff straightened up the room prior to housekeeping coming in. The pictures in and around the hotel were spectacular. The room rates were more than reasonable. Additionally, a Marriott Residence was next door and connected which added additional places to stay. The Weehawken Ferry across the street made it quick and easy to explore New York City for an afternoon or evening.

This hotel is a fabulous find! We just returned from staying here 6 nights and chose this hotel because of the location - close to Manhattan but not IN Manhattan. Plus we selected a room with a view! We enjoyed our daily ferry ride across the Hudson to either mid or lower Manhattan. It was so nice to leave crowded, noisy Manhattan and return to a quieter, peaceful place to stay. The hotel is well maintained and is immaculate. The rooms are equipped with Nespresso coffee makers and a safe, and we had daily housekeeping services. Every staff member we met was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Chris. Our room had a housekeeping issue and he was immediately able to sort it out for us. In addition, he offered us answers to many of our questions about how to get from point A to point B. He was friendly, helpful and was a great person to have on board at the front desk! He had answers to everything we needed. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel (NOHU) that offers drinks and food, and also breakfast. We found breakfast to be mediocre - the one down side to this hotel. Breakfast was included in our package, but in order to collect breakfast, you had to stop by the front desk and get a coupon worth $19 which only allowed you to have items on the top of the menu (see photo) which was extremely limiting. A note to management - this is a very clumsy way for patrons to be able to get breakfast. It would be easier if the restaurant simply had a list and could cross off room numbers and if you purchased over $19, then simply be charged for it and not be limited to the "top of the menu." Nevertheless, I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I would stay there again in a heartbeat! It was a fabulous find and we enjoyed our 6 night stay. Thank you!

Not going to leave alot of detail other than we had a bad experience with our room and with the person at the front desk - told staff about it, wrote the parent company- we were promised extra points due to the issue - and we never received them. We have stayed at other Autograph Collections before and this was by far the worst stay.

That being said this hotel has the best views of NYC Skyline. The bar was nice ;however, we were asked to quiet down while outside because we were laughing to loud about our daughter and her uncles antics when they were children. (Which I didn't complain about because everyone is entitled to their opinion and theirs was that we were too loud outside .) Sooo, after spending over 200 at the bar we left and went to the Highwood to continue to spend money there. It didn't have as nice of a view but the food/drinks were good. AND no one there seemed to mind our family time. There was not a real large selection at the coffee/breakfast bar the next day; however, the young ladies working the coffee area were super nice and friendly. The views from the deck are absolutely breathtaking in the early morning light.

I recommend this hotel only for the views which you can actually get by just coming in a buying 1 drink/food item rather than spending money on a room, valet parking, etc.
