10/30/14-11/1/14 I was in the area for a two day hike on the Appalachian Trail. The location was ideal as the trail crosses Route 94, 1 1/2 miles from the hotel. This is a throwback (1960's) hotel. There are only ten rooms and you will not find a restaurant or lounge on the premises. However, many restaurants are located in the vicinity. I usually stay at chain hotels. This was a pleasant change. My room was spotless and the managers, Kunal and Mika provided excellent service 24 hours a day. They even shuttled me back and forth from the trail at no extra charge! I would highly recommend the hotel for a comfortable stay at a reasonable price. Doug M.

Staying the night of Thursday 19th June 2019, the Appalachian motel is in a lovely location. The rooms are clean but I feel the owners are just trying to make as much money out of their quests as possible, poor quality toiletries, a single pouch of coffee, hard towels and spare pillows are shoved away in a drawer instead of having a cover and being used to dress the bed!
On checking out I walked up to the “24 hour” reception, the door was locked, on picking up the phone there was a curt”checking out what room number” on giving the room number there was an equally curt “ leave the key in the room” no hope you had a nice stay etc.

I would recommend this motel for its location but not for its management.

If I could give this motel 0 stars I would. I had read the reviews and I thought it would be a no frills clean and comfortable motel near the Mountain Creek Bike Park. Instead I walked into a room that had stained sheets and blanket, the bathroom had a total of 6 flies flying around with a horrible smell coming from the sink. The sink itself had these time bugs crawling in it. The bathroom blinds on the window were missing several blinds so anyone could look inside while you’re showering (glass doors). Huge read stain on the carpet. 2 pillows that looked like a truck ran over them. Completely disgusting. It was midnight when I checked in and I immediately called the nearest hotel that had a room (Quality Inn), asked for a full refund (they reluctantly gave it to me), and split. I’m literally writing this review while my friend checks into the Quality Inn at 12:30 AM. And the crazy part is that the motel cost $125 per night and the Quality Inn is $149. Stay away from this motel!

Do not stay Here!! This hotel was purchased by a new owner and it’s truly awful. There was dust and filth on the walls, the shower floor was stained brown. The comforter had a blood stain on it. The pillow case had mascara stains on it and the so called pillows on the bed (one for each person) were completely flat. When I bravely took off the pillowcase. I found that the pillow was covered in brown stains. There were no available rooms within a 20 miles radius the night that we stayed here and I literally slept in my car in the parking lot rather than lay down on the bed. It is the most disgusting place I ever have stayed. Sadly, it was a sweet little “mom and pop” hotel under the previous owners but now it looks like a rundown crack house. There was no option to give this place a “zero” (the least you can give a hotel is one circle/terrible) or I would have.

My husband and I stayed at this motel 2 days and 3 nights . There were no linens changed. You had to ask for clean towel. The owner of the motel had a bad attitude when you asked for any basic service. The towels looked like they were used to simonize a car . No one ever answered the front desk phone. 2 pillows per each bed that were 12x12 and had weird smell. The smell of urine permiated the room. The a/c barely worked. One could not attenuate the volume on the TV. Getting out of the driveway was the most dangerous thing I have ever done. Stay clear of this one folkes!

Bedsheets were not changed between guest stays. Found lot of hairs on pillows, top and bottom sheets. Towels and sheets were a bit grayish like they were not washed with bleach or decent detergents.

I stayed for a night coming off the Appalachian Trail. The managers were really nice and accommodating, they offer a shuttle ride back to the trail head which was great. Reading these negative reviews I just don't really get. The bed was perfectly fine, the shower was a little tight but what are you trying to do? Yoga? Anyways, I got some much needed sleep and if I'm ever passing through again I'll definitely come back.

Beautiful view, clean rooms and super friendly staff. The owner is working very hard to improve the entire property. Free parking and free wifi. Close to Greenwood Lake, Vernon Township and the ski lodge. The room has a fridge and microwave.

8/29/14-9/1/14, I met up with my husband (he is hiking the Appalachian Trail). He was taking a couple 'zero' days (no hiking). We wanted a room that was a good value, quiet, clean, and pet friendly. Due to the holiday, I knew the rates would be a little higher - but I truely believe they were still very reasonable. Kunal and his wife (the owners) have a wonderful motel. Sure, I agree with the other write up that the bathroom is dated; however this motel is VERY clean! I would certainly rather have cleanliness over fancy new shower fixtures! I highly recommend this motel! The room is comfortable, the pillows are new, the sheets are new, the A/C worked well, the frig worked well, microwave perfect and the room even has a brand new coffee pot. Perfect for a relaxing weekend! I can't express enough that I was so impressed with just how clean the room was! FANTASTIC PLACE!
