Detailed Reviews
Hotel is currently under an extensive renovation. I believe we were one of the first to stay in our room since it was renovated. There was a coffee maker, but no coffee. The floor of the room was a hard surface (probably vinyl planking) and although I thought it was attractive, I hated the coldness of it; it also made the room seem louder. The upside is I am sure it is a much cleaner option to the usual wall to wall carpeting.

Stayed here overnight after a wedding. The hotel seemed sketch once I checked in. Also calling to book the room was a whole thing. Guy who booked my room has a thick accent and I couldn't understand what he was saying, he booked me an extra night on accident then trying to get it changed was another whole thing. The people seemed annoyed that I kept calling.
Room wise it seemed clean.
The parking is very tight. They definitely need a bigger lot or something.
The bar attached has good drinks! Went there for a few before going back to the room. Otherwise the hotel definitely needs an update.
It definitely seemed like a sketchy hotel though for whatever reason. And also pulling into the hotel there are no signs for it when my boyfriend was trying to check in.

I stayed at this hotel for 10 days and here are my pros and cons list:
PROS:
• Bedroom, spacious and comfortable
• Nice people at the lobby
• Decent price for 10 night stay
• Large smart TV (which the first room did not have… so if you don’t get a nice tv ask to change rooms).
CONS:
• Miserable lobby
• Must ask 2 or 3 times if you want your room cleaned
• Location is sketchy. Close to things though… Even the Ubers get confused.
• No available water… you have to pay for little plastic water bottles at the lobby
• Key card issues (had to change rooms on the 5th day still having key issues).
• Our toilet did not really work/flush.
• You can either get a decent view of the city or a sh*ty one of the hallways. (I know this again because I changed rooms halfway through my stay).

This property is the middle of a major renovation which essentially eliminates all the expectations/amenities of a Ramada/Wyndham property. Ours was a Priceline comparable rate that in hindsight was way too much. Property access is limited using a few small scattered signs easily missed - and impossible at night. The presence of another nearby Ramada property will find your GPS taking you there.. Note that the property address will show up as a different hotel brand. There are a few rooms available that have superb potential - clean, well organized etc. But litte discrepancies in maintenance indicate there was a rush to make rooms available for rent without a good QC process. The toilet seat for example was never secured and the plastic shower liner appeared to be just hanging in place. Parking is limited, but there were only a few guests so not an issue. The front desk staff said that the Priceline value of $85 was fair and compensation or price adjustment was not available for missing amenities - like the advertised breakfast or restaurant. Just don't go until they're done with renovation and can offer Wyndham quality services

There is a night club attached to this hotel so it's good for the young people that drink alot and need some place to crash n sleep it off, but not good for older folks who expect coffee in the morning. They provide a coffee pot in the room with no cups, coffee, sugar or cream. So be sure to bring your own! Also bring your own towels too because whoever is washing them has black hair and it's imbedded in the towels.

We travel in North American and Internationally and know that every hotel, Bed and Breakfast and Resort provides a different experience. All of them have some basic responsibilities, one is providing a good night's sleep. One would expect Wyndham, a major brand, to know that traveler basic. Yet, the Wyndham Garden in Totowa NJ has failed to provide this travel with a good night's sleep with what I would describe as a "marshmallow" mattress, one so soft and so lacking structure that one simply sinks into it without any support to one's body. That was one of the concerns, the other was the apparent lack of maintenance. For example the knob controlling the shower came off in my hand when I turned on the shower, lacking a screwdriver, I pushed it back on to the post it tried to cling to. Most of us travel by car and parking in what we hope is a safe Hotel lot is important. The main parking area for the hotel is tiny and the alternative underground parking sections are dark and covered with litter without a clear indicator of how you get from the lot to the lobby. The other nearby outdoor parking area is literally in a shopping center. Please select ANY alternative to the Wyndham Garden Totowa.

Check in was easy. We stayed for three nights and the room was never cleaned. We were assured by the front desk the room would be cleaned the next day as housekeeping had left for the evening. There were dried boogers (!) on the table next to the bed. The tub was clogged. My husband pulled out a HUGE mess of hair from the drain.
We had to get clean towels from the front desk, along with toilet paper, since our room was never serviced.
I stopped at the front desk at least twice a day to voice my complaints, only to be met with wide eyed stares.
During checkout, I explained to the gentleman at the desk about my issues. He said he would check and verify my room was never cleaned, and would credit my credit card "at least $50.00". I checked out on Monday, July 1st and as of today, July 6, my credit card shows the full charge, and no discount.

There is no pool, there was no breakfast served, and there are no microwaves or safes in the room. There is parking out front but it is minimal and taken up by people going to the club (Cubanelle) at night that is attached to this hotel. There is a small parking garage, it is trashed and very unkept but it’s parking nonetheless.
The room was nice, comfortable bed with clean sheets, some stains on the outer comforter. The floors are wood, not carpet, which is so much better for cleanliness sake! Bathroom appeared to be clean, but I still would bring your own clorox wipes because you never know. First time turning on the shower, the water came out brown. Let it run for a few mins and it cleared up. Water was hot every time, no issues with it running out. The towels were clean but I found multiple long black hairs on them maybe from whoever folded them. No ice machine on the floor and the vending machine was broken.
Elevators are slow, there’s two but one was not functioning.
The pictures shown are somewhat accurate, the place isn’t nearly as nice as shown in the photos. It’s not a bad choice if you’re not looking for anything fancy. I do think I’d stay here again, but not for anything longer than 3-4 nights.

I wish I had read the reviews before I booked this place. I came for a conference and just booked what the organizers recommended. Big mistake. This hotel is downright scary located in a desolate location with nothing else around except a string of parking lots and a Petco. What may have once been a nice hotel appears to be in a death spiral.
Much of the hotel is in disrepair. The elevator was broken. Pool is filled with debris and parking garage was a nightmare. The lobby offered no snacks or food items to purchase and the restaurant was closed. Not sure what is happening here, but it isn't good. I expect it to be shut down soon.
The odd thing is the room was actually nice, except for the broken shower curtain, which I repeatedly asked the hotel staff to fix to no avail.

Got connecting rooms for one night. First set of rooms, one of them smelled like it was recently smoked in, which the Manager couldn't believe that the previous would as she was "medical". The second set of rooms at least didn't smell. One of the rooms needed a lot of repairs, lamp was broken in half, the shower curtain was hanging on by a thread. At least the rooms seemed clean. The other issue I had, I booked this place with the anticipation that there was "free breakfast". I came downstairs with my family to be told that the free breakfast was just a brown bag of things. That's not breakfast. They had covered parking, which took you through the backroom where laundry was done, seemed very shady. Luckily I just spend one night, but I definitely didn't feel like I got my money's worth. I'll never stay at another Wyndham due to this.
