I love this hotel for so many reasons. It's clean and spacious, both the rooms and the public areas. It looks classy, it's quiet and the staff are super nice. The location is awesome. I will never stay in the city again unless it's unavoidable. Parking is plentiful and free. The bus into NYC costs only $9 round trip and the bus stop for 167T is literally RIGHT outside the hotel and takes you directly to Times Square/Port Authority stop. The rooms are well appointed, the room service food that I ordered was very good and reasonably priced. There is an adjacent fitness center and spa, which I have not used yet but it's beautiful and looks well kept. And the best thing yet is the price! Super affordable. In the city, I can find a comparable rate but it's not nearly as nice and you have to pay for parking - anywhere from $40-60/day. Totally worth the slight inconvenience of public transportation.

As a Titanium member for Marriott, I stay in a lot of hotels. But when I home I still stop by the Glenpointe Marriott because of the outstanding service that Meghan provides as the Food and Beverage Manager. I often work out of the M Club Lounge and Meghan and her staff makes sure that the place is clean, the food options varied and delicious, and an overall warm and inviting atmosphere.

In addition to Meghan, lounge attendants Phillania and Luisa keep the lounge spotless! They are excellent at what they do!

I strongly recommend staying at this property when you are in the Teaneck, NJ area!

This hotel remains my hands-down favorite in the NY area. The rooms are clean, beds comfortable, and the lobby large and attractive. Parking is easy. You have access to a terrific regular fitness center attached to the hotel. The restaurant stands out because the staff are congenial and helpful and the food, especially breakfast, an order of magnitude above most hotels. We have stayed in the hotel regularly in the past, and I was worried it would have suffered during the pandemic, but it has maintained its high standard.

I have stayed at this hotel 10 times over the past few months. As a loyal Titanium Marriott member, I always check in on the app and ask for a suite upgrade. The hotel staff is VERY inconsistent on their replies. Sometimes they grant my upgrade immediately via the app. Sometimes they tell me that upgrades are only given at check in. Completely contradicting that fact that many times they have upgraded me on the app. Sometimes they tell me that I must use my "suite upgrade" rewards. Three different responses. Completely ridiculous and unprofessional especially to a Titanium member. Moreover, even if suites (16th floor only) are available, you can NOT book them online. If you want to feel valued by your loyalty, do not stay here. The Presidential suite on the 16th floor is really not presidential - just an over-sized room with a small regular bathroom. On a positive note, restaurant food is above average (especially the meatballs) and M Lounge is nice.

Dear Eric M, Thank you for your loyalty to Marriott and for choosing to stay a our hotel. I apologize for the frustration you've experienced regarding the availability of upgrades. We do only have a handful of suites and their availability can vary tremendously from day to day. We also have many Elite members staying with us and that means some members may have higher priority for the upgrade (not unlike the listings you see for first class upgrades on airplanes). So, depending on the member status of other guests arriving the same day, we may not be able to provide the suite upgrade until check-in. Using a suite upgrade reward can guaranty a suite upgrade further in advance when available. Thank you for your feedback and we look forward to your next visit.

This hotel is good for short stays. It’s not at the most convenient location but not a terrible one either, I only stayed there in the evenings and left in the mornings because I was visiting my mom who was a guest there, and I live nearby. The rooms are large in size and the beds are comfy but feel very impersonal. No artwork on the walls, it’s overall a cold decor. My only issues would be the fact that one evening my mom and I had gone to her room to find scuff marks on the bathroom floor where the floor must’ve been a bit wet from the morning shower and someone had walked in with their shoes and not cleaned up, and even after asking for a few days in the row that the coffee machine be plugged in because it was impossible to push the fixture alone, it still remained unplugged so if you wanted a cup of coffee or tea you would have to plug it in on the floor, which lets be honest, is plain disgusting. Like I said the beds were comfy but it was so cold during the night because the room is large and spacious, and the window is huge in the room. Even with the heating on. Super big fan of the Starbucks built into the hotel, and also the restaurant that is also in the hotel. Good food and incredible staff who even provided me a super strong Tylenol after a really difficult day at work. Overall very very happy!

What’s not to love about this hotel?! Easy access to the highway, free parking, Platinum member get access to the lounge and free full service breakfast buffet. Debra from the front desk was the icing on the cake. She helped us extended our room twice with ease and checked in to made sure everything was satisfactory. We will be sure to return again.

Have stayed at this hotel several times in the past and it continues to provide a consistent high level of service and great facilities. We love the room, the Lounge and it's great breakfast and evening snacks. But best by far is the location of the hotel: next to the 167 NJ bus stop that goes nonstop to the Port Authority Bus Terminal next to Time Square. Fabulous family time together and a super home base to explore New York City. Thanks to the team at the Teaneck Marriott at Glenpointe for yet another great stay!

Probably worst hotel experience of lifetime due to poor customer experience. No wifi in room and was told that I needed to call a central Marriott line to resolve the issue, which didn’t work of course and was a strange experience. Apparently this was an ongoing issue and didn’t seem to be any care to try and resolve the problem. I actually figured out a workaround myself but no thanks to the staff who simply didn’t care. Ordered room service for just cheese pizza that was an hour over the expected wait time for tired and hungry kids. When I called down and then visited the restaurant staff again were indifferent. Raised the issue with the manager Daqwell who offered no apologies, just analogies that if my home internet went down I would still expect to pay and then aggressively challenged me on how busy they were that night, downplayed that I paid usd 350 for the room (so what, that is what others are paying was his statement) and again offered no apologies or acknowledgment of pretty substandard service for the price. Small issues in the scheme of things but compounded by pretty rude and aggressive staff. And oh yeah - if you can’t log in to the internet because your room number and last name don’t work as you’re instructed to put in, sign up to become a Marriott rewards members and that seems to get you online

Terrible night despite the rooms being spacious and bed comfortable. At 3:45am, I got woken up by an alarm in either hallway or next door room. Meanwhile there was a person on their phone in the hallway for an hour…and the fire alarm went on twice…I called front desk twice who told me they called security. I was getting scared, the hotel was pretty empty and know one let me know what was happening. It got silent again by 4:45am…I check out and the front desk lady was nice but did not give me any update on what had happened which I would have expected. I am pretty sure it is an issue with someone smoking in their room or hallway but the minimum thing to do would have been to let me know all was fine and pro actively address the issue in the morning. I saw there for business, needless to say I had a long day after this…

The good: clean spacious room, refrigerator in room, good water pressure, comfortable bed, okay pillows. Seems like a nice neighborhood with not too many businesses in the area but close to NYC.

The bad: next to no place to put our things. One single drawer!! Ten hangers for the closet. Next to no shelf space. Bathroom has no shelf space or drawers. Shower only, does not have a handheld shower head. As mentioned room is spacious but besides the king bed and a shelf on each side of the bed and desk unit with the one drawer and refrigerator, there is only a chase lounge so the room seems like it is missing something. How about a dresser, that would easily fit.

I know hotels have been minimizing drawer space in the past few years but this is crazy. Do they want us to use Air B&B instead of their hotels? Glad we are only here two days!

Gym & pool no charge. Breakfast not complimentary. Never took public transportation into NYC. Parking free at hotel. Occasionally drove to ferry - free parking. Easy way to get to midtown. Getting into Manhattans depends what time of the day you go and return.

Does the hotel have an indoor pool for children to use?
Answer from Jeffrey D
Hotel guests have the ability to use the Glenpointe Fitness Center during their stay. It is open every day with shortened hours during the weekend. As it is an independent fitness center, the facilities are much larger than a normal hotel gym, with more equipment and work out options. There is a pool, but children are not permitted. It is used mainly for exercise and fitness and not available for recreational use for hotel guests. The Glenpointe Fitness Center also does not allow anyone under the age of 18 to use the facilities.
