The breakfast was great. The staff was super friendly and helpful by the breakfast going above and beyond for some special dietary needs for us. The kitchen manager even helped us with the gorgeous fire pit.
The pool and fitness room were clean and enjoyable for my family. Overall this was a nice enjoyable stay and I would recommend it again.
The front desk team was very impressive, always striving to fulfill a guest's request. As Platinum Elite I stay at a lot of Marriott's and can say with certainty that this is one of the best team's I have seen. I also used this hotel for important business guests last summer and will continue to do so.
The included breakfast was also better than expected – make your own waffles, scrambled eggs and turkey sausage, a selection of cereals and yogurt, fruit, bagels and muffins.
All for cheaper than other hotels in the area!
Rooms were clean and lounge area I front where you could eat breakfast was bright and cheery.
Definitely will stay here again next time we’re in town for a soccer game.
Well…. First night we arrived 9/10/21 at 3am totally wiped and just wanted to lay down. We pulled out the sofa bed and found a 1/2 Eaten piece of pizza underneath the footstool in front of the sofa bed and the sofa bed mattress had a bottle cap, some bits of paper, crumbs, glitter on it and looked stained. So we decided to not sleep on it. Called the front desk the next morning and the Manager was Very apologetic and even discounted our room $60 and upon my request moved us to another room.
Next day 9/10/21 we returned From being gone all day and found that our room door was ajar. We felt this odd because we all three felt we had closed the door but after review on the hotel cameras it did not show anyone had gone in or out of our room. We did not know it then but would later discovered that our room door would not latch.
Rm 209. Upon leaving the next morning 9/11/21 we let the front desk know that our room would not lock and asked if maintenance could come during the day while we were out sightseeing and take care of this because we were 3 ladies in this room. The front desk gentleman said that he would do his best but was doubtful they would get to it.
So for the rest of our visit (the next three days and nights) we dealt with a room that would not lock every time we left. This was not a comforting feeling and I felt this should have been handled much differently. The hotel was nice and most of the staff friendly and helpful. The hotel included a breakfast that was nice selection and the staff, so sweet.
I did feel that there were areas of improvement.
Room cleanliness, maintenance repair and 1 front desk lady that should be reminded that she’s not doing us a favor by standing there being rude but that she has a job and a pay check because “we the customers” we chose to stay at your Hotel. FYI it was the lady that checked us in at 3am and she wasn’t just rude the one time.
While leaving the room, we happened to look inside the garbage bag on her cleaning cart and were infuriated to find that our valuable and sentimental possessions were all thrown away, including my makeup and emptied out makeup bag, bridal bouquet, bridal tote, wedding heels, "wifey" sweatshirt, watch box, and congratulatory balloons that had been popped. Please note that WE HAD NOT CHECKED OUT YET and it was an hour before checkout time. This was an outright violation of our privacy and belongings!
Following the incident, we reached out to management and were told that an insurance claim would be filed to compensate us for our lost items. It has been three months and we receive zero communication unless we actively follow up - even then, we are informed that they are "working on the issue" only to be ignored again. This incident has permanently tainted the most special weekend of our lives. We would never recommend this hotel to any friend or family member.
The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because there were a few issues with cleanliness in the hotel room. The carpets were badly stained, as was the pull out sofa. See the pictures for reference.
Pros- Nice location of the hotel, clean grounds (able to have a nice walk/run in the area), and a really nice clean spacious lobby area. Staff were friendly we encountered at the front desk and breakfast area. Speaking of breakfast, it wasn’t the best, but it was more than good, nice options, thank you. Workout room was adequate, would like more weightlifting options but it was doable.
Cons- Pool was a little chilly! Room was a little dusty in areas. Overall, we had a nice stay, will return when need to stay in the area again. Oh- you must go to the Hoagie Hut, a few miles away, great hoagies and more!
