We stayed at the Extended Stay for 3 months. It is in a good location for visiting NYC, much less expensive than NY it's self. You can ride the NJ railway to NYC Penn Station or ride the NY Waterway Ferry there. The hotel upkeep is pretty good, they keep trash picked up and the furniture is OK. The only real negative is the maid service leaves a bit to be desired. But, if you are only going to stay a weekend or a couple of days it is fine. For any time longer, you will be dusting the room yourself, not to mention the shower.

After reviewing all these good reviews, decided to book at this hotel. Although they mentioned breakfast included, there was no breakfast except a corner by the front desk where they left some muffins and coffee. That's all am I paying for ? They charged us to provide a sofa bed. Very stinky inside, good for construction workers, painters who need a place to stay, cook and do their job. Not a good place to stay with your family..Made a big mistake !

I needed a place to stay due to major power outage in my area after hurricane Isaias on august 3. After searching online I found this extended stay location (750 Edwin L. Ward, Sr. Memorial Hwy. Rutherford, New Jersey) and booked 2 rooms at a reasonable price, besides the hallway smelling like Marijuana after one guy walking out his room with a cloud of smoke behind him; when i finally got to my room it was a pleasant surprise; the room was big and spacious, it was CLEAN with a fully equipped kitchenette, updated bathroom, no carpets on the floor which was awesome..I would recommend 👌

I’ve stayed at several Extended Stays across the county and never had any complaints. Acceptable accommodations for extended stays or shorter stays at economy prices. Nothing fancy, no extras, a clean room with everything you need and nothing much more. This ESA did not meet that baseline. The initial impression of the lobby was a basic rooms by the week place. No chairs or restroom in the entrance (lobby?) area. No way to get the attention of the absent desk staff who eventually emerged from a back room to check us in through thick plexiglass walls, Down a dingy hallway was one of two working elevators. The first day the working elevator worked. Day two, it didn’t but there was no signage, so after waiting a while for it to show, we were eventually informed that it was out of order and we were now in a 5th floor walk up. There was NO hot water in the shower. except on our last night there. after letting the shower water run for close to 30 minutes, once we were well past ready to sleep, shower reasonable hot water arrived to our room. The rest of the stay it was wash rags at the kitchen sink, which did actually provide reasonably warm water to bathe in. We were unable to contact the front desk about anything from the room, because the phone was broken. All complaints we lodged at the front desk were met with shrugs. We stayed for a short enough time we did not have plans to use the kitchen. But the cleanliness of this left something to be desired, and there were no utensils, dishes or cooking appliances in the room. Had I needed to use the kitchen, cleaning would have had to happen first.
Bottom line, skip this one. Head for somewhere that values their customers more.

I had a great stay here. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are big. The kitchenette has great cabinet space and the fridge is a large size. The location is isolated and quiet but very close to New York City if you are looking to save some money by staying outside of Manhattan.

After receiving no response on the fact someone was screaming about blood outside my room, last night I went to pick up food and saw people right outside my door doing drugs (needles)…. I couldn’t believe it. I thought of calling front desk but thought what is the point given my experience the first night
After doing some errands, I came back to find almost half the carpet soaked with water. I called front desk to inform them - most likely through the PTAC unit letting rain inside. The front desk manager offered towels because “it happens when it rains”. I said this is a persistent issue the hotel is aware of? She said nothing. I asked to have another room and she told me I could not be relocated because the hotel was 100% full despite. I checked online and there are rooms available - I called back and the manager refused to move me!

Rude staff - Seriously, this hotel is changing definition of hospitality (Definition of hospitality from Merriam Webster : generous and friendly treatment of visitors and guests : hospitable treatment)
Worst location : inaccessible,remote location
No Amenities : No amenities what so ever they advertised,
worst Breakfast : Unbranded store bought mini muffins and oat meal bar. Is this called break fast ?
Unreliable shuttle services : Forget it, I paid money for Uber after waiting 60 minutes. Other nearby hotels made *at least* 3 trips while I wait for the shuttle. When asked why shuttle did not show-up, the answer from the staff is very rude. May be this hotel is not meant for families, groups visitors or business folks.
I will call the corporate office on Monday but I am not expecting any thing positive action from them. (:

rutherford, NJ The first room, I was checked in had water all over the bathroom floor. So I called front desk, she said that there was nothing she could do. So I asked to be switched over to another room. she said that she needs to check then she'd call me back. NOPE! NEVER HEARD FROM HER. I called again after 30 mins. She goes " OH that's right" SHE FORGOT!!!!!!
then went to another room, SMELLS HORRIBLE. DISGUSTING. I had to air out the room.
On the website, it says breakfast included. BUT NOOOO!!!! its not breakfast, its just a coffee bar.

The entire elevator shaft from floor 1 to 4, the entire 4th floor hallway and my bathroom and room (from the bathroom vent) smelled like a marijuana grow room. My wife and I were allergic to the smell but couldn't get away from it. The night clerks, and cleaning staff all agreed the smell was overpowering. 4 days every day all day before they switched us to another location and then only with attitude and the manager saying they couldn't pinpoint it so couldn't do anything. I told him their cleaning staff could certainly point out the room or considering 4 days of heavy enough pot smell to fill 4 floors of a hotel a police dog might help too. Very unfriendly.

No there is no shuttle from METLIFE stadium to this hotel, you may check with them. they have a property close to METLIFE stadium also(EAST RUTHERFORD)
There are more places to choose from in the Rutherford area.
