Things I Liked:
• Room has been refurbished well. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable to sleep in.
• The room was a good size for two people, with four people it may feel cramped. There is no closet or armoire dresser so we had to keep our clothes in our bags, but we were only staying one night so it wasn’t a big deal.
• The offered two cute travel kits with a mask, hand wipes, sleeping mask, as well as free bottled water and Keurig coffee.
• Shower had good water pressure but the water never got HOT, just warm, which may be fine for other people
•The owner/manager is so helpful. The third party website I booked with messed up my reservation, but she was patient and figured it out.
• Television had a good selection of channels
• Great location. About a 5 minute walk to the beach and boardwalk.
Things I'd Change
• The front desk/coffee shop is not constantly manned. They leave a sign up letting you know no one is there. However, about 24 hours before you arrive the manager will call whichever phone number you booked with, and give you her mobile number to call or text her if you need anything. I think she’s running the show on her own due to COVID, but hopefully by next summer she’ll have some front desk assistance.
All in all this is a great boutique hotel. I would recommend it to anyone spending a weekend in Point Pleasant Beach.

Absolutely beautiful and just as pictured.
Everything was clean and modern and the room smelled like fresh linen. This hotel is tiny, but the rooms are a good size and clean! We stayed in room 6 which has two double beds. The bathroom was also well-styled and comfortable. It had high end toiletries that smelled amazing and a blow dryer. The room also had a Keurig with 4 pods.
The gift shop at the hotel had muffins, bagels and similar as well as a cooler of drinks, hot and iced coffee and iced tea (delicious) that was all available for purchase.
We stayed 1 night. Check in was at 3pm and check out was at 11 am the next day. They say all over the place that it’s $50 for early check in or late check out and since it’s small they just don’t have the parking for it on site.
We had a slight issue at check in, but I made one phone call, left a message and got a call back quickly.
You can tell that this is a place that every employee feels good about. In fact, my 8-year-old said “this place feels like we’re staying at a friend’s house. It doesn’t feel like a hotel”
If you want to go on the beach early or after check out, I recommend parking across the street for $10. It’s on the far north end of the boardwalk. It’s not as crowded there and there is a nice bathroom with showers when you are ready to leave. It’s maybe a 10 minute walk from there to the main part of the boardwalk.
Overall we had an excellent 2 days. This place is truly a hidden gem on the Jersey shore!

This gem of a property is under new ownership and underwent a total renovation. The rooms are beautiful - spotless, contemporary and well appointed, with stocked mini-fridges and snacks. The bathrooms are gorgeous and modern and stocked with upscale products. We got to peek into the penthouse suite and it’s just stunning. There is cute seating outside of the rooms, a picnic table and barbecue, even bikes to borrow. There is a small cafe on premises. There are water views and it’s an easy walk to the beach.

Quaint, boho beach motel located across the street from the Inlet. Newly renovated rooms, updated bathroom room, comfortable bed and clean rooms! Depending the location of your room you can catch a glimpse of sunrise/sunset or boats coming in or heading out. Easy walking distance to Jenks beach, Shrimp Box, Offshore and other area restaurants. Easy check in and check out. Staff is excellent. Cannot wait to return.

We stayed one night for a quick getaway. Everything was modern and super clean just the Hotel stock photos. Check in was easy and location is perfect if you want the quieter part of town yet still easy walk to a few of the best restaurants and a little further gets you right in the heart of the boardwalk. Coffee shop is a nice touch! Definitely would stay again.
We hope to try the 2 bedroom full kitchen suite on the second floor one day. It looks amazing!

The location couldn't be better if you're looking for a quiet weekend getaway. It's across the street from the Jenks Inlet beach & boardwalk, walking distance from several great restaurants, you get a parking spot, beach badges, a clean, modern, spacious room, and it's dog friendly! We stayed in room #2 which technically had a water view from the door! The mini fridge is actually quite large (no freezer though), snacks provided in the room. for a fee as well as in the lobby/gift shop/cafe. A light breakfast can be bought in the lobby. Free bike rentals available if you are a guest. I loved that there was a full length mirror in the room. We will definitely be back and will recommend all our friends and family to stay at Casa Del Mar.

A very unprofessional, fly by night operation—no front desk, business office, or trained staff is present for check in or check out.
Keys are left in your unlocked room and you’re told to just go in upon arrival with no formal checkin or identity verification, then, no invoice is provided at checkout.
Other reviewers are correct that you will be arbitrarily charged added fees.
If any other accommodation is available for your dates, this place is to be avoided.

FILTHY, blood on bathroom floor, toilet filthy, floor was black, moldy shower curtain, and rude manager, used all my towels to clean the floor and was given only a few extra after and no apology. I had to spend $60 of my own money ordering cleaning supplies to make the room acceptable for my family. There were hairs, used nail files, dust, dirt, marks all over the walls, had issues with my booking and should have never went. I had to spent my own money upon arrival after driving 6 hours to clean a place I paid an astronomical amount for. UNACCEPTABLE, I hope my family doesn’t get sick from how dirty that room was.

When we arrived on site a little earlier than our check-in time, we were told it would be a $50 charge. We decided to wait the 1.5 hours instead of paying, and walk the boardwalk. As we were walking away, someone yelled out, “YOU CAN’T PARK HERE!” After a short discussion with the staff about why our spot should be available since no one can park in their spot after checkout at 11, we decided to move the car and pay the $5 across the street. Later on, my parents stopped by the place to see our room. As we were talking outside, a staff member approached while on a phone call and asked my parents if they are parked in the lot (they weren’t) in an annoyed manner.
The room was very clean, but we weren’t expecting a handicap room fitted with an indoor ramp to get to the bathroom and all the grab bars and railings. I may have missed this but it wasn’t clear on the website when booking. We had an issue with the refrigerator, which is a wine refrigerator when it was beeping. The same woman who yelled from the store answered the phone and told us it’s due to the door being left open. We fixed the problem and then she showed up at our door a little later, “didjou figure out the fridge?”
Upon checkout, walking to the office, the same woman asked, “you checking out?” And immediately went into the room. We went to the store to checkout and gave the keys and beach passes to the staff after they finished a coffee order. We walked back to the car and saw the door open and the same woman reading our feedback on the comment card, shrugging and looking very annoyed with us. She looked out the door to is a few times as we backed out of the parking lot. It was very awkward to say the least. Very unprofessional staff, rude and did not ever feel welcome or hospitality. We loved the location but would not stay here again.

This place was very up to date and modern. We enjoyed the look and feel of the place. It was comfortable. I think that if as much attention that was placed on the decor was put on the functionality, that Casa Del Mar would be 5 stars! (Hope the owners take this under consideration because they would be more likely to get returning guests.) It was a great location. It was clean. The staff was kind. I was mostly disappointed by the cold shower and lack of storage for shampoo etc in the shower. There was slow internet and tv which showed they didn’t have the best wifi plan etc. A paved parking area with a bit more space between cars would be appreciated. An empty mini fridge with room for our own food would be ideal. If we wanted drinks etc we could easily come to your cafe. The lamp by our bedside had a bulb out and then when we replaced it still didn’t work. Seemed like the lamp was the problem. Attention to detail and a check that everything is working before guests arrive is suggested. The hairdryer attachment didn’t stay in and kept falling out…things like this…
Investing a bit more into the functionality would give the place a higher quality, returning guests, and better reviews.
So overall, i would say that there is a big need for improvement but we still enjoyed our stay.
