I have been coming to this motel since I was a kid. It has close proximity to the beach and board walk- you can’t get much closer! Room and pool were clean. They allow you to use their facilities before checkin and all day after you check out- for parking, bathroom, outdoor shower, and pool.

Point Beach Motel is located one block away from the beach and from Jenkinson's Boardwalk. Our second floor room had a refrigerator and a microwave, but no coffee maker. We were there off season, so there was no noise from the boardwalk rides. The Trenton side of the motel is away from the pool side which can be noisy. There is a medium-size heated pool. The motel has good wi-fi. Our reservation was confirmed by e-mail and we had no problem checking in. When checking out, there was no one in the office; we had to leave our keys in a box. However, we had no problem with our bill.

Point Beach Motel is clean, comfortable, with a perfect location to enjoy the Point Pleasant beach and boardwalk. The heated pool and the deck facing the boardwalk are big pluses, and the staff is courteous and pleasant. We've been staying at Point Beach Motel at least 6 years in a row, and we always look forward to returning!

My wife and I saved for months for a small vacation for our family, we wanted to take the kids to the beach. Upon arriving at this Horrible Horrible place " Point Beach Motel" we notice that the room smelled musty and moldy. We wanted to walk out,but since we arrived there late in the night,1 am, we decided to stay,we came for the beach after all. What a mistake we made deciding to stay.
The room- carpet was wet, behind the toilet vomit, in the shower-mold- we decided to stay still, we came for the beach , that is what I was telling myself. what a mistake. We stayed and to the beach we went. Upon returning from the beach at around 4 pm, we decided to take advantage of the pool. HAAHHAHH.....
THE POOL- GARBAGE WAS FLOATING ON THE BOTTOM OF THE POOL - WOWO
We still decide to stay. I myself collected the GARBAGE and decided that we could go swimming. I gave the baby to my wife and returned to the room for the floating essentials for the kids. Upon returning to the pool was confronted with KAREN...WHO WORKED THERE FOR 25 YEARS....WHO WAS SCREAMING AT MY WIFE....we were told that we can't put our kids in the pool ....KAREN STATED THAT ."PEOPLE PAY TO USE THE POOL" REALLY PEOPLE PAY TO USE THE POOL...WHAT MY MONEY THAT I SAVED FOR MONTHS AND MONTHS TO OFFER MY FAMILY A VACATIONS WERE NOT GOOD...After screaming for 4 minutes at us, Karen was joined by 4 other people that stayed at this horrible place, who were screaming at KAREN...ASKING WHY IS SHE SCREAMING AT US. After she was done screaming, once we started talking and telling her that ok, we want our money since is not good enough for you and we will leave, Karen turned around and walked away got in her car and off she was.
I, immediately walked to the front desk were I encounter Patti, My wife and i informed her about what just happened, and asked her to document all that has happened, Patti informed us that she can't do that because she was not there, but she was. After informing us that she can't give our money back Patti pointed to a signed that was on the door, numbers were listed on it and she informed us to call Monday. I Informed Patti that we are leaving and we want our money back. By 5 30 on September 11, 2014 my family was on the way to a different hotel to finish our vacation.
Please anyone reading this review, please do not go to this horrible horrible place. Pay the extra money and go somewhere else. My next step is to call the police and get an investigation going so i can get my money back because it was stolen from my family.

Stayed one night at the Point Beach Motel Labor Day Weekend 2004. The condition of the room we were given was terrible. The carpeting was damp and wrinkled, there was a 4” hole in the bathroom wall and there was mold growing on the wall behind the toilet – certainly not a room worth over $200.
Upon checkout, we expressed our displeasure to the Manager and asked if she would consider crediting just a portion of our bill, citing the above reasons. She admitted that the room, "gets a lot of use”, but declined to refund any money, explaining that the owners would have to make that decision and that they were not on the premises at the time.
On four subsequent occasions I called The Motel to speak with one of the owners to pursue a partial credit -- no return calls.
Stongly suggest not staying here.

A Hotel room cleaner stole some very expensive prescription $240.00 cosmetic medicine out of our room, the girl knew what it was she wanted it so she took it.My wife knew she brought it because she had put it on at bedtime the night before. That was the only thing she took .I told the lady at the desk about it the next morning ,all she said was (that never happens here). She took down my information and said the owner would contact me,I've never heard from her.ALSOTHE ROOM NEXT TO US ALWAYS HAD EMPTY BEER BOTTLES WITH CIGARETTE BUTS IN THEM IN FRONT OF THE ROOM AND ON THE SIDEWALK YOU COULD SMELL IT EVERY TIME YOU WALKED BY.Also our last night there we were woke up by approx.6 drunks that were in the room next to us at 2:43 am with fighting beating on the door screaming I was waiting to hear gunshots I HAD TO CALL THE POLICE.SO ALL I CAN SAY IS WHEN YOU CHECK OUT A MOTEL, THE ROOMS MIGHT LOOK GREAT BUT YOU MUST WALK AROUND THE MOTEL WALK AROUND THE POOL CHECK OUT THE CLASS OF PEOPLE THAT ARE STAYING THERE. I used to always say, you get what you pay for $240.00 per night , I don't say that anymore.PS they say they have internet they do ,if you walk out on the upper deck where everybody is drinking and smoking and partying and you place the lawn chair toward the front of the deck with your back against the wall hold your left arm up in the air put your right hand on the metal ash tray you will get internet.

I took our 3 kids here, and it met our needs. Although some guests weren't respectful of families...not motels fault. Parking was tight, but they were helpful. Staff was great as far as providing extra towels and very nice. I loved that we were on the south side of the boardwalk! Free beach passes were awesome! All in all a good stay and clean rooms - water pressure was an issue, but not their fault- more of a city problem.
I used to love to stay at a motel on Arnold, but switched owners and not the same - this was a great alternative!

I have been twice to the point beach motel. I always request a poolside room which is great with 3 kids. Its a few steps from the boardwalk and beach and right across the street from the amusement park.
the rooms are nothing extravegant by any means, but they have always been clean, and there is a fridge in every room. you can't beat its location.
the pool is small but nice for families. there is a nice sized wading pool for babies.
Don't book if you're looking for room service etc. book if you want affordable, clean rooms in a convenient location.

Took trip with girls from work at Point Pleasant, NJ and had a blast. Motel is one block from boardwalk which was perfect. Motel room is clean. Beds were comfortable. It was perfect. I would stay here again.

Megan,I was there that night also. You and your wimp husband were something else! There was a huge storm and the entire town was without power ! Yet your weak husband was running around like a little girl demanding to know exactly what time the power would be restored. Really dude ? It was out only for under 3 hours. We all went on the sundeck and had cocktails and appetizers, some played cards we had a ball ! Also I heard you Megan while trying to get your money back, ha ha, mention you were a diabetic and needed to keep your medicine refrigerated, obviously another lie since you neglected to mention that in your rant ! Also if you and your family have stayed there for years, you must love it ! What changed ?? The power went out and now it's a terrible motel ?? I'm sure after the scene you two made, you and your family won't be welcome back! Good luck somewhere else ! And tell your husband to toughen up . . Jeez. . Life is short, make the best of it !!!
