This was my first ever visit to Ocean Grove and Ocean Plaza. I was very impressed with both. We received an incredibly warm welcome upon arrival. The staff were exceptional. This was also just about the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. Our room was charming and comfortable. The location couldn't be beat. Easy walk to the beach and restaurants. Breakfast was delicious and there is a beautiful view of the ocean from the second floor porch where it is served. I will definitely be back!

We were very happy with our accommodations At the Ocean Plaza Hotel at Ocean Grove. A Lovely Bed and Breakfast. The location was perfect, one block from the beach with ocean views from the porches. We stayed on the third floor and spent time every night sitting on the third floor covered porch which offered a pleasant view. Our room was decorated nicely, spotlessly clean and comfortable and included A private bath, toiletries, hair dryer, small fridge, iron and board, flat screen tv, free Wifi, and coffee maker. The breakfast which is currently served on the first floor with seating available on the first and second floor covered porches and the front lawn allows plenty of space for social distancing. The breakfast itself was delicious with many different offerings including two hot choices every day we were there. The hotels location was also perfect for us once we parked our car upon arrival we didn’t use it again until we checked out. We could walk anywhere we need to go easily, and one night we even walked into Asbury Park which was less than a 15 minute walk. We loved how the hotel is located in Ocean Parhway which gives it wide open sweeping views of the ocean to the right and the Auditorium to the left. The building itself was quaint and very clean and well-maintained. If you find stairs an issue I would advise booking a room on the first floor as the stairs are steep and narrow as usual in old houses but weren’t a problem for us. We will definitely return to the Ocean Plaza Hotel.

The house is right on Ocean Pathway, a block to the beach. The house is beautiful! The rooms are very clean and charming. I had a unit with a private bath room which was very nice. The house has a front porch and many decks to sit out on. The breast was amazing! The owners are very careful with cleaning and sanitizing to keep everyone safe during this pandemic. While it is a bed and breakfast there is less contact with management or other visitors than with other bed and breakfast inns that I have stayed in. I didn't feel intruded on. The rooms are up-to-date with TV, and wifi. I was very happy that the room had a coffee pot and small refrigerator so that I could keep cold drinks to bring to the beach. In all, this was a wonderful place to stay and I hope to go back next summer!

My husband and I chose the Bradley suite because we wanted the option of a private outdoor area, with distant views of the ocean. This worked out perfectly. You could actually hear the ocean! There are actually two decks, one off of each floor. The 3rd floor area is the master bedroom and bath ( note, whirlpool tub with hand shower only, no standing shower stall). Bed was comfortable and I appreciated the lighting. There is also a huge television. The deck had two chairs and a small table. Then up a spiral staircase to the living room, kitchen second bedroom and bath. Plus another deck with two lounge chairs, a table and chairs for four. The sofa was comfortable, the television was large, as was the one in the extra bedroom. The kitchen was a plus during COVID times, with take out as an option. The breakfast offered was okay, with cooked eggs and meat, as well as yogurt, fruit and danishes. Nothing fancy, but again, fine enough for these pandemic times. The inn was clean and had nice outdoor areas. The steps are steep, as would be expected. The location is superb, and we just loved Ocean Grove. We are already talking about returning and enjoying this lovely inn during the spring.

My wife and I went to Ocean Grove in July and we loved the feel of the town and the surrounding areas that we wanted to go back for Columbus weekend. I found Ocean Plaza Hotel on TripAdviser so we knew it was going to be nice. The room we had was quaint and had the victorian feel to it. The location of Ocean Plaza Hotel was perfect. We found a parking spot right across the street. The beach is 1/2 block or so away, but from the hotel we could see the ocean perfectly. The owners of the hotel were very friendly and accommodating since we arrive a couple hours earlier then we should have have. The breakfast, which is included in the price of the room was very nice. Fresh fruit, oatmeal, homemade breads, baked bread pudding, eggs, sausage, juices, coffees, teas, etc etc. Also, with COVID the owners were very careful with proper sanitations practices, which made my wife and I feel very safe. My wife and I are definitely coming back to Ocean Plaza Hotel next year. At least that is our plan.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Ocean Plaza Hotel! We stayed in the Inskip Suite, which has two rooms—one with a twin bed plus trundle underneath, a small kitchenette with microwave, fridge and sink, and a small dining table. The other room has a queen size bed. It was plenty of space for the three of us and would easily accommodate a fourth. The hotel itself is well maintained and service was friendly. The room rate includes a full breakfast in the morning with eggs, bacon, cereals, pastries, etc. There are small balconies on a couple of the upstairs floors with a beautiful view of the ocean and we enjoyed eating breakfast there in the morning. The small chocolate bars at reception and the chips downstairs were nice touches. The hotel is about a block from the beach and there was plenty of street parking when we were there in the off season. Not a fancy hotel but cozy and good value for the money. Ocean Grove is a quiet town but you can walk 10 minutes to Asbury Park if you want excitement. We would definitely return.

My mom and I stayed here over Thanksgiving and never wanted to leave! Great location, just a block from the beach, they are following strict Covid protocols without sacrificing any amenities. We were pleasantly surprised by the broad range of offerings for breakfast -- on top of bagels, breads, cereals and yogurt they had hot food options that were delicious. The room was very clean and nicely decorated including a fridge, coffee maker and bottled water. Its clear that the hotel cares about its guests and we will absolutely be back.

It was select for Christmas weekend after read all the posted great reviews. After my experience, I think it is overrated. First, for 2 days I tried to called them, before I booked a room, left a voice message and text. I was looking for room info. Nobody responded my message, however I decided to book it. We stayed in the # 7, 2nd floor. It is a clean small room, the room view is the wall of the right following house. The view of each room should be describe on the web. The shower area is very tiny one. The house has a central heating, first night was very cold, following night quite warm. They provided a spear heater our 2nd day, it should informed the location of those portable heaters to be able to grab one in case that guess need it.

On Christmas Eve an Christmas Day everything is close around, so they should be ready to assist the guess with accurate info for places to eat around instead of generic list for Summer restaurants. We were lucky to find Rest info in ThePatch.com (after many searches and driving around). The Flames steakhouse was a great choice.

Breakfast was good, Maria & Luis were kind preparing warm station with pancakes, sausages, eggs. Additional Costco bread and pastries are available too. Coffee&tea station is available. This front porch with sea view are the most beautiful in the house. Also, they have a cozy living room and front porch in the first floor.

The value $185 plus taxes for each night was overprice for this place, Front Desk Service was from 8:30-5:30pm.

I booked a room with The Ocean Plaza for a last minute getaway to the shore. This was my first visit and I was very pleased from check in to departure.

The location is premium, just steps from boardwalk and a beautiful ocean view as well as the Great Auditorium, convenient to Main Street shops and dining.

I did an after hour check in with no problem, directions were left in my room along with keys.

The room was well appointed, everything was immaculate and very comfortable. They even offer premium soaps and shampoos ( nice touch!)

Kelly took my reservation on the phone, and I had the pleasure of meeting more staff the next morning. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, served "covid friendly", too. The entire property is well maintained, and very welcoming. Everyone I encountered was professional, and always maintained Covid precautions. This is a safe, clean and socially responsible property and they are doing an exceptional job during this pandemic!

Thank you for a wonderful time, I've already booked my next stay at the Ocean Plaza next summer!

We recently stayed here at the Ocean Plaza and the staff was no nice and helpful. I told them I had a gluten allergy and they were so accomodating (made me special pastries that I could eat ). The place was in a great location close to the beach and they even gave you towels to use for the beach. I would highly recommend this place . I am looking forward to returning for another weekend !

If you are looking for a relaxing winter Jersey shore experience - yes. . I don't know for sure, but I'm assuming that places to eat and shop are open. Ocean Plaza is less than a block away from the boardwalk. It's a great stretch of walking while being able to see the ocean. The main street in Ocean Grove has plenty of nice shops to stop at. Don't miss the proper British Pie place. Yum! As far as Ocean Plaza Hotel - they are top notch! The two rooms that I have seen are fantastic. The linens and beds are super comfie. The breakfast set up is off the charts - IMO. Don't miss the crumb cake. Delish. I don't often have a reason to go to Ocean Grove, but I will never stay anyplace other than Ocean Plaza Hotel. Customer service is A++++

Is there a room for elderly that would not require climbing stairs?
Answer from Vicki P
In answer to your inquiry - we do have 5 rooms on the first floor at the Ocean Plaza Hotel. We also have a ramp which leads to our front entrance. Since the house was built in 1870 there is no elevator. Our breakfast is served on the 2nd level wrap around porch, however, we are happy to get breakfast and bring it down for anyone who cannot climb stairs - we have café tables and chairs on our first level wrap around porch, or you can sit in the parlor.
