Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I been staying at the Tuscany for over 5 years now and come down several times a year and stay at this motel along with family, friends and kids and I can Honestly say that I never had a problem. The Manager Don has been nothing but good to us every time we come down and we are there pretty much most of the time we are in North Wildwood. The rooms I have stayed in are generally pretty nice but you need to remember that each unit is Individually owned so it is up to the owner to concentrate on the up keep of the unit in the off season some of them do and some of them dont. I have been in some rooms that are really nice and some that are just a shore motel room. I can tell you that at one point I had a problem with my air conditioner in my room and by the time we came back from the beach I had a brand new unit installed in the bedroom. The rooms are very spacious for the money considering most hotels just have two queen beds a bathroom and a television for the same price as the Tuscany. I like the Tuscany because its a block from the beach & Boardwalk, it has a decent size pool and the rooms have a sunken living room most with sleeper sofa, kitchen, dining room and bedroom with two double beds. I enjot the Tuscany and will continue to stay here as long as it fits my needs. There are 2 stainless steel grills that are available for your use and two balconies with lounge chairs & tables to hang out on or tan on.

Following a miserable experience at a neighboring motel at 19th & Surf last year, our group crossed the street to stay at the Tuscany this year. This was an old Wildwood motel that was converted to a condo resort, but still has the look and feel of a Doo Wop motel. As a condo resort, there is no staff on site 24x7, nor is there any housekeeping. However, as long as you don't mind making your own bed, this is far from a problem, and maintenance staff is on call should you run into any issues. Our group stayed in Room 101, which was the apartment used by the old owners of the property. The 'room' consists of a living room with a fireplace, a gigantic well appointed kitchen, and 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. Our group paid less to stay here for a longer period of time than we did when we stayed across the street. The apartment could use a little updating, but given the price that we paid for our stay, it was a great value. It was also a pleasant change of pace from our stay last year across the street where the hotel staff was overbearing and imposing on our activities during our stay. I would recommend the Tuscany if you are looking to stay in that part of North Wildwood.

We stayed for two nights, and the staff was nice, the room was ok, but really outdated. It really needed a good scrub in the bathroom. There was a pretty major rain storm, but that shouldn't excuse the fact that we got soaked while in bed sleeping bc the rain came in through the wall where AC unit is. That seemed like a fire hazard since the water was also pouring into the electrical outlet.
And only the bedroom was air conditioned. The ceiling fan was missing three bulbs, the toilet didn't really flush- no huge problems, just little things that probably could be easily fixed.

Response from TuscanyCondoResort, Manager at Tuscany Condo Resort
Responded 12 Apr 2013
Thank you for your review! I know that we were all surprised by the horrible downpour that day- we unfortunately realized we had some issues with a few of the A/C sleeves, which have since been fixed! Coming into the season as new management, we had no idea of the problems with the old sleeves that some of the units had. The bedroom-only AC units are not unique to Tuscany. Many hotel/condo conversions in the Wildwoods have this same set up. I do apologize that you did not know that in advance. The toilets being sluggish are another thing a lot of properties experience as we get deeper into the season. We try our best to fix that. As for the unit being outdated, these are all individually owned, so owners are notified when a guest has a complaint about decor, furniture, etc. I do apologize and take responsibility for the fan needing light bulbs, that is entirely our staff who should have been paying attention to that when they cleaned the room!

We have stayed at this location for the past 15 years and never had any issues. It's not a 5 star motel but we do not expect that either. The cost went up (over $200 a night) and we were told that once we check in the towels that are in the room are the ones that stay in the room , they do not change them out. We could however use their laundry room (at our expense) or if we ask the fine gentlemen behind the desk nicely, he will give us one or two, if we ask him a second time, he will charge us. Also, no maid service, dont let them kid you.. Oh wait, they do take out your garbage but thats it. We are staying some where else next year. BUYER BEWARE

My stay at the Tuscany was amazing. My room 202 was decorated so cute, it made me feel like I was home but at my very own shore house. It was clean and the kitchen was very well equipped with everything 4 adults needed. They even had beach toys for any guest with children. There was a man who managed the hotel, that was there everyday cleaning the pool, sweeping the walkways, cleaning the public grills and watering the flowers around the grounds. Everyday there was tons of kids swimming in the pool being loud and that's what kids do on vacation...right? If I didn't want to hear it anymore I closed my door and couldn't hear a peep! And i like the public radio they have for the pool area. I can't say enough how nice my experience was!!!! And the location is one block from the beach and boardwalk. The beach has restrooms on it. Great little Icecream place and tiny mini golf one block away.
Definitely will be back next year Tuscany! Thanks for a great 10 days in the sun!!!!

My family and I stayed at the tuscany for almost the whole summer this past year, we have been staying here for years. I must say this is the best we've seen the tuscany in quite a few years. You can really tell the owners here are really trying to make this a great place to stay. It was exceptionally clean, close to the boardwalk, has a pool - and a couple times while we were there they had "pool party" for the kids at night with glow sticks and smores, my kids loved it, and its so family friendly here. Would stay here again in a minute!

Stayed there a week and it was horrible. From the moment we got there our toilet was backed up the whole room smelled of sewage. Told the manager and he sent 2 foreign teenage boys to plunge the toilets. Our kitchen sink and counter had ants all over it. Hair sand and food between the cushions of our couch. After 3 days of plunging to no avail finally got a new room. Dont waste your money on a place dirtier then a SEPTA bus. Its called the hospitality industry for a reason

My family and I stayed at the Tuscany Motor Inn with two other families for one-week in July. This was our first and last visit to Wildwood, NJ. The room that we received was disgusting! There was mildew, huge amount of dust, bugs, moldy/cigarette smell throughout the room. Same went for the other families in our group, but not quite so bad. I was very concerned for my son who has asthma and bad allergies. First mistake that we made was we had paid for the room in full without first checking room. Never again will we do this!

After discovering the situation, we asked JoAnne and Vic to please move us to another room. They claimed that everything was full that evening and could not move us until the next day. We then asked them to clean the room. They swiped-it three-times because we kept complaining. Room still was no better. At this point we were very unhappy campers! We asked for our money back (less than 1/2 hour after checking-in). Vic informed us that he would not refund our money back and that he did not care whether we stayed or left, but we were not getting our money back. We were furious!

Maid service was a joke!

This hotel was a total dump!
