Detailed Reviews
We stayed at this hotel 20 years ago when it was a Holiday Inn. We were very pleased that we were able to book a room here for our family.
We stayed for 5 nights. Breakfast was a continental breakfast with the usual offerings of cereal, yogurts, bread, bagels, and fruit. It was more than adequate and we were satisfied with it each day.
Our room was nice and cool (it was crazy hot in NJ the week we were there). We had no issues with the AC. One issue we had was that we had to request each day to have the room serviced (towels changed, garbages emptied, etc).
The pool was awesome and as good as we remember it from years ago. To be able to come back after sweating in NYC all day was so great for the family. There were always towels there for the guests to use when at the pool. It would be nice if the pool was opened later (it closed at 8pm).
Pros:
- great location and price if you’re visiting NYC
- pool area is fantastic
- good continental breakfast each morning
- hotel was quiet, even on the weekend
- bus stop to get to the George Washington Bridge is right there
- deer sighted in the parking lot nibbling on apples from an apple tree!
Cons:
- ice machines and vending machines were out of order on several floors
- pool could be open even an hour later in the evening
- had to request for the room to be serviced several times
- need to take a cab or Uber from the Fort Lee Plaza bus stop when returning from NYC
