This past week-end we stayed at the Hyatt Place in Fort Lee. The employees made us feel at ease by outlining all the safety precautions taken in light of the pandemic. They even have extra masks in case you forget yours, not to mention the hand-sanitizer dispensers.
Our hotel room also had sanitizing wipes at our disposal. The suite we stayed in is literally a whole one bedroom apartment, with a kitchen and dinning table. Extremely spacious, unlike the small cramped city suites.
This hotel also has three elevators so we had the luxury of not being crammed with strangers. The property is pet friendly and we had our dog with us. They even have a fenced dog park, how awesome is that?
We got a chance to meet the GM and he was extremely pleasant and personable.
This will now be our "go-to" vacation when visiting NYC since it's such a short drive to the city. They also have plenty of parking.

My family and I stayed for one night while visiting our kids attending school in the Bronx. The hotel is brand new, very clean, and did not appear to be crowded. We checked in later in the evening and the staff were friendly, quick, and super efficient. We were in our rooms a few minutes after arriving. The rooms are totally new and it was the first time I stayed in a hotel where I felt I may actually be the first person using the room. Rooms and furnishings are good, plenty of room, and no issues for a short term stay. Parking was free, well lit, and I had no concern for my car. Breakfast is in a brown bag, but certainly adequate given the current conditions.

If you don’t mind excess traffic because the location of this hotel is so close to the GW bridge, this is a good choice for a stay in northern NJ area. The staff Is friendly, the facility immaculate, and the price is very reasonable. Parking is free, and rooms have large bathrooms, refrigerators and flat screen TVs.

We were forced to leave our home after two nights of being in the dark. What a welcome relief when we arrived at the Hyatt Place!! The friendliest, most accommodating staff greeted us and made us feel welcome. Our room was large, with two queen size beds and a sitting area with a pull out couch. Beds were very comfortable with ample pillows for all. Room was immaculate with the cleanest bathroom I have ever had at a hotel. Must make mention of the towels, normally stiff and abrasive at most places, were replaced with soft and fluffy. Little laundromat for the guests was available too!! Free coffee in the am with a grab and go breakfast. Cannot say enough about this hotel!! From now on, will definitely be my GO TO PLACE!!!!

I spent the last weekend at the Hyatt Place hotel after a long break from hotels due to Covid-19. My reason for choosing was that the property was fairly new and I felt that would give me more comfort in terms of cleanliness. My hotel stay was nothing short of amazing. I felt that measures were strictly taken to ensure the hotel was safe and sanitized. I had no cleanliness issues and was very comfortable for the entire stay. Outside of that the staff was amazing, the overnight staff was extraordinary wearing multiple hats and with such efficiency and grace (very friendly) my checkout experience was equally a pleasure. I really truly value the work that persons in the service industry provide but staying here for the weekend, rekindled my joy of a break away from home. We ordered food very late at night and was very pleased with the food quality (must try the samosas) . I highly recommend this location. It was a mini staycation for me and one that I truly enjoyed. Loved my stay and also enjoyed my room view, which give that truly NYC feel, while on the outskirts - will def. stay again.

I stayed four nights on a business trip, and really wanted to like this Hyatt as I spend several weeks every year in the area, and this hotel is much closer to my client than the one I've been using for years. It looks like I will go back to staying at my regular hotel.

I started sensing it was going to be an uphill battle when I reached the hotel mid-morning, and they told me they didn't have a room for me. I do know the check in time is later, but it is also true that no less than 5 people checked out just while I was parking. So, a customer oriented hotel would have accelerated the cleaning of a room and assigned it to the poor guy that just got out from a 15 hours flight. That was me. Instead the lady at the front desk informed me that she sent an email (an email!) to housekeeping, and that she expected a response and an available room in 2 to 3 hours.

Otherwise, even if the location is as unattractive as it can be (facing the highway), the hotel itself looks pretty nice and new, and the rooms are pleasant, like the gym. But their worst problem is the breakfast. That is served in a very small area that can only accomodate a fraction of the guests. The result is absolute chaos every morning, with long lines, large crowds camping in the lobby area, and food and drinks that run out very fast, and get replenished very slowly. An awfully unpleasant way to start the day.

In addition, I had to call (from another continent) to get my folio, and I am still waiting, one week after check out, for my deposit to be released.

In conclusion, I will not be back. Still, it's not the worst place if you value the proximity to the George Washington bridge, have a short stay and can have breakfast outside of peak hour, or, better, elsewhere.

The hotel felt brand new and modern and all of staff from the front desk to housekeeping were super-responsive to every request from late check-out to letting me know where I could order a good pizza late at night. The only negative was that I had reserved what I thought was a quieter room on the end of the floor and when I checked in at 8:30pm I was given a middle room with a lot of TV and music noise coming from the neighbors. I asked to move to the end room and they made the switch right away.

I had a 2 Night stay at the hotel, after the first night I requested a clean up of the room by making a phone call at approx 10.30 am and also while leaving the hotel for the day. When I came back late and exhausted, I was appalled to see the condition of the room. When I went to the front desk to ask why this happened, the rep said that hotel only provides cleaning service every 4 days. I felt disgusted learning that the hotel subjects its customers to such horrid conditions. After arguing with him for 10 mins, he suggested that he could give me another room but I should vacate my current room in 5 mins. At the end, me and my wife were forced to pack up our stuff in a hurried manner and shift to a new room. I felt threatened, disrespected, discriminated. I wanted to take this to social media but my wife stopped me. I will never stay at hyatt again and I will recommend my friends and family to do the same.

Stayed here a weekend to visit Bronx Zoo and NYC Botanical. Newer hotel, great staff, covid guidelines followed. Yet, they went above and beyond to make food available at the hotel so you don't have to order out, or go our. Their menu had very good options as well. Not just easy take out. The rooms very comfortable and clean You are right at the ramp to get on GWB, so consider some issues getting in and out at busy times of day. That also means ramps for 95 are right there too, which is great benefit. I highly recommend this place.

I stayed at Hyatt Place Fort Lee in the last week of July. I was warmly welcomed by Sydney and was upgraded to a suite due to Hyatt elite. The room is very nice and everything is new! I also get a nice to-go breakfast every morning and all the staffs, especially Claire, treated me well! The location of this hotel is great, it is just close to the Korea town in Fort Lee and you can enjoy all kinds of Korean food! I will definitely stay at this hotel again!

How do you get from the hotel to Manhattan? What are the options and cost?

I think you can walk to the Fort Lee bus station. But this will be on a highway, so I would not recommend it. Call the hotel to see if they have a shuttle to the bus station. From there, you can take a bus to 178 St in NYC. Then take a subway, A train, to midtown. I suggest calling the hotel to ask if they have a shuttle.

The accommodation charge is the rate per day. There is an additional local and state taxes due at time of check out. So basically, you are being charged $200 per night.
