Close the Nickolodeon Universe and MetLife stadium, about 6 minutes away. Clean area, felt safe, butnot very well lit. Nice and easy to manuver parking lot, free breakfast! The hotel is mature but being maintained well. You can see they have made upgrades. The beds were comfy after a tiring day, lots of hot water after 4 adult showers, quiet, and staff was both nice and responsive. I had a stain on my sheet, asked for a new set which was provided quickly. The night we stayed only one elevator was working, but didn't cause an issue at all. I was glad they were honest and told me about and offered the steps as well. We had a little joke about walking the stairs...we took the elevator after running behind a 4 year old all day! 😊 I would definitely stay here again.

If you’re planning a visit to NYC and want to avoid driving and parking in the city, this is a terrific place to stay. The NJ Transit bus stops right outside the hotel and makes frequent trips into the city. The hotel is very clean, the staff is friendly and accommodating and the rooms are practically soundproof. There were two high school groups staying there and we didn’t hear a sound from any of the rooms. The breakfast bar is fairly typical but offers something for everyone and a staff member was diligent about refilling coffee and breakfast items and wiping tables between guests. In our room, the main light switch didn’t work nor did the light on the magnifying mirror. These were minor issues which I reported when checking out and they did make note of them. We will happily stay here again on our next visit to NYC.

I selected this hotel based on price and proximity to NYC, as well as proximity to places we intended to visit in northern NJ.
My children and I used the bus line located directly in front of the hotel twice with round trip tickets to NYC. Bus 163 dropped us at the Port Authority Terminal in the city, where we could easily access many of the attractions. On our return trip, we accessed the bus via Gate 24 in the Port Authority Terminal. We felt safe on the bus and found the time (about 20 minutes into the city) and location to be convenient.
The rooms were nice and clean, and breakfast was included each morning. We would definitely stay here again if we were to return to the area.

The location of this hotel is extremely convenient, but that’s just about the only positive quality. The “complimentary breakfast” consisted of greasy sausages and cardboard tasting eggs, along with prepackaged cereal. The room’s decoration was far from modern and the TV randomly stopped working. Overall the staff were friendly and outgoing, being the only other positive that comes to mind. The mini fridge in the room made an annoying humming sound for the majority of our stay, and the overall experience was certainly not worth the ~$250 a night paid.

The hotel is okay. Outdated but it’s okay. The general manager in the morning and the front desk manager late night were pleasant. Besides that the hotel is no good. The rest of the staff don’t even have the courtesy to say hi to you. It feels like your burdening them by being there. I given this hotel numerous chances. I will never stay again. The breakfast is horrid I understand that we are in a global pandemic but a bagel and a muffin daily I mean REALLY??? this is Fairfield in the breakfast is supposed to be included ive been to other hotels where they have grab and go and offer a single juice muffin bagel piece of fruit yogurt and granola bar in each bag and there hotels that don’t even offer free breakfast and are doing it for this time. Fairfield inn advertises free breakfast and gives you a cold bagel and a muffin??? Two carbs!! No fruit no yogurt nothing healthy It’s disgusting take note from your peers

Booked this hotel rather than one of the competing hotels in the area (there are a lot) because we thought we could depend on Marriott quality. This did not feel like a Marriott. Our shower broke on the first day, And even after they fixed it the pressure was barely more than dribbles. The room had a terrible musty smell that must be due to something in the air that made my eyes irritated and my husband sneeze a lot while in the room. Both issues went away once we left the room. Maybe dirty/moldy air filters?
The bed was comfortable and the location was great but we would never stay here again.

The first thing we do when we check into a hotel is to check that the toilet and the tv work. In this case, the tv did not work. We called the front desk and asked to be moved to another room, but the clerk said he would send up an engineer to check the tv. To his credit, the engineer showed up promptly and was able to get the tv working after some time. However the tv was very slow when changing channels. The room was dark with poor lighting, and the only mirror in the room was in the darkest corner of the room. The furniture was worn and the lampshade was stained and ripped. The mattress had a deep indentation and needs replacing. The hotel is conveniently located near the MetLife Center and the American Dream mall.

When you travel a lot for business you want a hotel that is warm, welcoming and free from any problems. When I enter this hotel it's like coming home. First, always greeted by name, and a "how was your day?" While every person does this when I come in, one person, Vanessa, just makes you feel particularly welcome and is sincerely happy to see you. Aside from that always a clean, nice smelling room, comfortable beds, and perfectly located to get to many places. Yes, it's home away from home! (and at a surprising great price)

Stayed here to go on a cruise in Manhattan with NCL. Pre-booking was easy, conversation was direct, and information on the phone matched up in person. Room was cozy and clean, two queen bed, washroom, fridge, microwave. Breakfast was good and had variety. Amazing free parking offer if you need to park and go on cruise. Very accommodating with no additional cost. Staff were helpful and pleasant.

Friendly and attentive staff, but I’m rating this hotel lower because I had to call for maintenance 4 times in my 3 night stay. The internet would go out, running the hair dryer caused a breaker to flip and I’d lose the power to my room. The response time was usually quick, but the consistent inconveniences are making me seriously reconsider if I want to stay at this location again when I return in two weeks.
