Detailed Reviews
The room was clean. Staff friendly and accommodating. Bed was comfortable. TV was new and clock was nice with a couple USB ports and electrical supply. Coffee was good. Fridge was nice and cold. That being said, the air quality was poor due to the pool and humidity. There were areas of water damage inside the hotel (peeling paint). Plumbing was taped up with masking tape. Only window was the sliding glass door in our room. I have allergies and asthma so this was difficult for me. We had already paid and I honestly don’t think there would have been an easy solution, nothing one can fix overnight. I got an odor eliminator at the grocery store and it helped with the mustiness. My husband also woke up to ants on one of the towels. I hope the owner is able to make some improvements to the motel. He seems like a nice guy.

Hi Erifica. Thanks for taking the time to provide us with your great feedback. So sorry that the room didn't meet your needs. We would have definitely moved you to another room to help with your allergies and the airflow. We have plenty of rooms that have windows that open out to allow more fresh air that would have helped with the humidity, mustiness and poor airflow you mentioned. We're always happy to switch people around if we know it will make their stay more enjoyable. Unfortunately, I'm embarrassed about the painters tape. That we left that behind when we recently painted that bathroom is inexcusable and I apologize for that. That is such a simple oversight that it took one of our guests to notice when none of the staff had is not how we run the property. Along that same line though, we are constantly improving the property, including correcting the peeling ceiling paint and the causes of that. As that project is a little more complex and involves closing the pool and public areas, we are trying to time that for when seasonal demand wanes. And you can bet I will personally be hunting down every piece of painters tape used in that project! Thanks again for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We do greatly appreciate it.

Henniker Motel was a great place to stay and perfectly locataed to Pat's Peak for skiing. We even took a break mid-day and walked back to the room just to get off our feet. The motel was very clean and offered a nice mini fridge to hold snacks. Everyone was very friendly and the view from the motel just was outstanding! It must look awesome in the fall! We all really enjoyed our stay and will be returning for a repeat visit!

We stayed over the New Years weekend with family. Tim put us up in adjacent rooms, which was convenient. He also was very helpful and on hand with any questions. It was our first skiing ever and first tine to Pats Peak, but would absolutely stay at Henniker Motel when we return to ski. The rooms are basic and clean and roomy. Other than being a bit outdated, the only negative is the walls are thin and if on first floor, you will hear footsteps/voices from above and next door.

Henniker Motel was perfect for our slope side getaway. I didn’t know what to expect with the mixed reviews online, but we were very happy with our stay. Room 9 had vinyl flooring, clean white linens on the beds, and it looks like the walls were freshly painted. The owner, Tim was so accommodating from time of booking and throughout our stay. Upon arrival, we parked outside our room, got dressed to ski, and walked to the chairlift. You cannot beat the location!
After a day of skiing, the indoor heated pool was awesome for our family. The Keurig machine in the lobby by the pool was great. The cozy room next to the pool with the wood burning fireplace and lots of seating was a gem. We ordered pizza from Western Ave pizzeria and they delivered and Tim offered plates, napkins and utensils and showed us how the coffee tables lifted so we could sit on the comfy couches and eat by the fire.
I would highly recommend staying here. It was a clean and comfortable place to stay so we could ski and use a heated pool in February, which was perfect for our family with young kids. We will definitely be back next school vacation week!

So close to Pat's Peak!! The manager/ owner is super friendly and lives on the property so he is readily available and so friendly and helpful! The rooms are super clean. Our room was cozy warm upon arrival. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean with some nice complimentary toiletries. While the motel could use a little superficial "lipstick", it was a cozy, clean, friendly place to stay and we will definitely be back!!

Thank you very much for your great review. We're glad you enjoyed your stay. We especially loved the "lipstick" comment! We certainly agree the place needs updating and we have been constantly trying to do just that. But in the mean time, clean and friendly is our mission and it seemed we got that right for you so thanks a bunch!

This hotel was one of the worst. Not well maintained. Room was dark, tiny, bathroom very small with no room for toiletries. Walls are paper thin-room next door had the tv on all night-no one got any sleep. Price was high for such an awful room.

We are sorry you did not have enjoy your stay. Especially the loud TV next door. That would make for a difficult night sleeping. We also are aware of the lack of space in the bathroom and are working on solutions to accommodate our guests that need the extra space. While our single queen rooms are smaller than the average room, the double rooms are the average size for a room in the US (330sq ft -30.5sq m) with plenty of counter space for personal items. We would have been happy to move you to a larger room if we had known of your concerns while you were here.

It seems to me that being at the foot of Pat's Peak Ski Area, this motel could invest in renovating a very shabby motel. Also, investing a lot into a quality deep clean would be suggested. The bed was clean (I made a quick search for bed bugs, there were none), and sheets were fresh. The toilet and sink were clean. Didn't use the shower because ...well, mostly it didn't seem clean. Also, things like the track for the sliding glass door was thick with dirt so led me to believe cleaning was not a high priority. The drapes for the sliding doors were crusted with "stuff" on the window side and they were pinned together on the room side. So very disappointed. Was looking for a comfortable place to rest and enjoy my first visit to Henniker in 48 years.

We are very sorry you were disappointed with your room. Especially with the cleanliness issues that you mentioned. We would have happily given you other rooms to choose from had we been made aware of the issue while you were here. Your feedback is very good and it will help us address the issues that you raised, so we greatly appreciate you taking the time to let us know where we can improve. Hopefully, in spite of our shortcomings, the remainder of your trip to Henniker was as delightful as you remember it some 48 years later.

Loved the views and the rooms were big and cozy. Did not feel like a motel at all. Definitely plan to return! Thank you and look forward to another stay in Henniker. A location to definitely consider.

OMG, run, don't walk away from this place. The staff lied x2 about smoking rooms-when you get there and paid for your reservation, it's too late-they know that! Power was lost due to a thunderstorm, with NO back up generator, not lights, no AC and no caring from the staff for any type of a refund. Oh yes, the staff was rude, defensive, and totally unbusiness like. The rooms for the price were smelly, small and difficult to access with the key. Poolside was even worse-SMELLY! An animal protection agency should be called on the two painted turtles the have trapped in a little aquarium. Every time I had to walk by them they were gasping for air or food in their disgusting environment. I agree with another writer, the only thing clean were the sheets. DONT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. I guess when your selling a business, you just don't care.

I stayed at this motel before a wedding at Pat's Peak. The photos are very kind to it. It's not run well - rooms smelled bad, our door broke and locked us in, the pool was ice cold and unusable, and the dumpster was visible and overflowing. It was highly overpriced for these things.
Pros: right next to Pat's Peak, quiet area, beautiful starry nights.
if you're in for quiet convenience, go for it. If you'd like the basics to be spot on, pass
