Had read some great reviews about this place......While it is NOT on the beach it is definitely the place to stay in the area. The historic inn has very beautiful accommodations and the service and staff is amazing. The reviews are correct......an excellent place to stay in the area. Also be sure to dine at the tavern r and make a reservation in advance.....the menu has plenty of choices and the food is outstanding. I appreciate the room upgrade and will definitely return when in the area. The decor in the inn an d tavern add to a great experience. For a great experience make sure you stay there

If you don't like historic buildings, don't bother staying here. It is quaint, and its adjacent restaurant offers good food. The receptionist on duty when we checked in was a historian who could explain just about everything about Hampton area. Our room had enough space for our luggage, and it came with a bottle water. The hotel offers fresh fruits and coffee at the reception. I did not like the breakfast offering. Maybe because of COVID, the service was scaled down... It reminded me of Fairfield Inn (Mariott's lowest level brand).

Lamie’s and the accompanying tavern are Granite State traditions. They have been around forever because they are good at what they do - hospitality. This is New England, so do not expect to be pampered. However, the staff is competent, polite and reliable. The decor is old school. But I liked it… This hotel is, mercifully, not on the beach. Hampton is loud and brash. Although, the drive to the ocean is super close. I would stay here again and again!

Nice king room but the carpet was not clean and my husband and I couldn't walk on the floor without some shoes on. There was a huge spot where rain had leaked in on the ceiling which could have been painted over. Housekeeping came in each day and cleaned up the trash and recycling, made the beds and brought fresh towels, which was a surprise. We did not have a chance to eat in the restaurant because they were taking no more reservations when we were there, but we would have liked to try it.

Great place and perfect location to stay. The staff was really friendly and the restaurant was excellent. The bar also served good drinks when the restaurant closed. A good central location to explore the beach and the still stay in a quiet and historical part of town.
