Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I stayed here last year, during New Hampshire motorcycle week. It was a fair room for the money. If your wallet is thin I would choose it again. If you have cash to spend I might look somewhere else. The whole Motel is dated and and not new. But it is close to local businesses and restaurants which made it convenient.

First the good news. I stayed here with 3 other cyclists. We had just biked 7 1/2 hours and were grateful to have arrived. It is located only minutes from the trail. Shower was hot and wet. TV and coffee maker worked. That said it is unlikely our wives would have enjoyed the place. No heat until the owner brought a portable heater. Phone didn't work properly. You know the bottom line - you get what you pay for.

Very high priced for not having internet excess. They say they do but, we were not always able to get online. Had to sit outside just to get two bars. I was not very satisfied for the amount of money we paid for the room. I also did not find the mattresses to be very comfortable. I would not stay here again. You would think they could at least serve morning coffee but they don't even do that.

Being in the process of moving, I stayed at Elmwood Motor Lodge for 10 days in September 2013.

If you are looking for a quaint and quiet setting with too many available TV channels and internet access, that is working very well, then you've found Elmwood Motor Lodge.

No fitness area (outdoor pool only) or on-site restaurant, though. Walk across the street, and voila, there's your restaurant. And you've done some cardio in the process.

If you're looking for low prices, not cheap, plus great sleep, quickly drive over to the Elmwood Motor Lodge. You'll be glad you did - so will your body!

Thank you

I stayed there last nigh in unit 11 and i can honestly say!!!1. The top three worst hotel I have stayed in. The owner are In clearly nor leaning this place. It is truly horrible. I do not take pleasure in bashing a place as I am a business person. Who ever is writing the great reviews must have just gotten out of prison. Which is pretty much the clientele. I came down to take an test in Concord and the extra 30 bucks for a much better place was so worth it. Carpet was 5 years past replacement, Very shabby and the smell of mold was very heavy. Owners do not care. Finds out who has owner ship in this hotels if there Indian or asian they are very dirty people. so you can expect the same for the service and room. This place is a 20 dollar hooker pad.

This motel is definitely an older place. The decor is vintage 1960s. My room was fairly small, but it was clean and quiet. I didn't have any wi-fi signal, but the room did have a refrigerator and a microwave, which was a nice bonus. The motel rooms are in a separate building ~100 yards from the office, and there are no phones in the rooms (although who uses a motel phone anymore anyway?). The motel is located right on the main street in Boscawen, and it is within walking distance of a pizza place and a convenience store. The man running the office was friendly when I had questions. The cable TV was excellent and had tons of channels (including On Demand), which was great.

The only thing that was kind of strange was the bathroom sink. The faucet had two settings: off and fire-hose-blast. It was hard to use the sink without splattering water all over the walls and my pants.

Overall, it was a good place to stay. No complaints, and I'd stay here again if I were in the area.

We stayed at the Elmwood cottages this past Memorial Day weekend. The cottages were pristine - you could eat off the floors, plenty of supplies (cooking, utensils, towels, blankets, etc.), very homey. There are two very good restaurants directly across the street. However, the Elmwood is located on a main street so try to get a higher numbered cottage. Our friends in cottage #2 were able to move down to cottage #8, which was fine. I was in cottage #15 - even further from the street - and never heard any street traffic. I was in a two-bedroom cottage, and true, only one room has a closet and a tv. The other bedroom does have hooks for hanging clothes and there are dressers in both rooms. I was unsuccessful getting WiFi on my tablet but could connect on a laptop. There are lounge chairs at each cabin, a screened in porch, picnic table at each cottage, and plenty of gas grills, even a fire pit. Based on the cottages we saw while driving around the Old Orchard Beach area, Elmwood is stars above the others! I would definitely stay here again.

Rooms need to be updated and cleaned thoroughly. The pool was dirty and needed repairs. Yes there was a frog in the pool. The owners were pleasant but we would not recommend these accomodations to anyone.

This place isn't bad. You get what you pay for. The beds are actually super comfy and the room was a nice size and not too shabby for a budget motel (though the bathroom was a bit cramped). My problem is that I ended up paying nearly $400 for what was advertised at $90/night for 3 nights. I was unable to get into town on the day of my reservation and they refused to refund me for the one night. Wifi is kinda slow. Also, they claim there is a convenience mart on site and I don't think there actually is. If you ever go here, stop by the gas station next door and tell the girl at the counter inside that Darius says hi and blow her a kiss for me.

This is an old fashioned strip motel in an historic little town near Concord. The motel is painted pretty colors outside and in. It's nestled in the woods. Picturesque, but bugs get in. The room has a small fridge and microwave and a newer TV.
