Positive:
- Large rooms without inconveniences.
- Clean bathroom, they clean every day (changing cloths, making the bed and taking out the trash).
- It has 4 elevators that work fast.
- I received a package through Amazon and since the Business Center was closed, they delivered it to me at the bell desk without any problem.
- They kept our bags on the day of check out, all day (from 9AM to 10PM) they only charge tips.
- There is a coffee shop serving Starbucks on the property.
Negative:
- It is far from the Strip and you must take transportation to get to the tourist places
- The casino smells a lot like cigarettes and the smell spreads throughout the first floor
- There are no food options in the restaurant, only on Fridays and there are no options in the surroundings either, if you are at the hotel you must order delivery from the Strip.
- There is no good quality free wifi, the speed is 10mps and it only works in the room, during our stay it failed for at least 3 days.
- There is no refrigerator, safe or water bottles.
It is a good hotel if you are on a tight budget and don't expect too much, for us it covered the basics: cleanliness, comfortable beds, safe place and good customer service.

On Sunday the room was not cleaned up by housekeeping despite phoning them up to request it and again given the resort fee i don't see why i should have to ask for housekeeping as that is something that should be apart of your stay no matter what. If you don't want housekeeping then you put a do not disturb notice on your door.
For all the years i have stayed at the Orleans this year has been very disappointing and it seems they just want to take as much money from you as possible
This property is a budget property and is located off the south end of the strip by a couple of miles so it seems to be a bit cheaper than what you would find on the strip. This property seemed less busy than other locations we visited on the strip. I had no problems finding an open spot at the tables in the casino, even during evening hours. Also, they had a double-deck blackjack table with favorable conditions / rules (3:2 payout on blackjack, no continuous shuffler, etc.) that always seemed to have an open spot, something that did not exist at places on the strip. The minimum at this table was always $15 but that was fine with me (the only $10 blackjack table I found close to the strip was at Ellis Island that had similar conditions but was a six-deck game).
The bad...
Since this property is located a couple miles away from the south end of the strip, be prepared to have a rental car or Uber anywhere in order to get just about anywhere you want to go. I'm not sure if this is the common experience but housekeeping only emptied our trash and replaced our towels once and never re-made the bed during our four-night stay.
The "meh"...
The decor in the rooms seemed a bit dated but the room was clean. If you are looking for fast WiFi, be prepared to be disappointed. I measured the speed at 5Mbps so it felt like things *crawled* quite a bit.

Dissapointment with Las Vegas

Las Vegas was a real disappointment this year having missed coming to Las Vegas for the past three years. Covid has changed many of the wonderful aspects of a trip to Las Vegas. I stayed at the Orleans Resort & Casino which I have stayed in for many years in the past. What changed? The buffets were gone which had always provided good food at a reasonable price. Now, there are a very few takeaway spots with very expensive prices for anything. The one full service restaurant was TGI Fridays with reasonable prices and reasonable service. Getting your room cleaned required requesting this basic service every day .... or it was not going to be cleaned. Finally, the most ridiculous fee is the resort fee of $30.00 or more per day for basically nothing. The pool is obviously closed in the winter. The only spectacular experience was away from the Orleans at The Sphere were you get to see a movie in

Check-in with the new electronic kiosk system was, as advertised, easy and quick. HOWEVER nowhere in the process were we informed that we were checking in EARLY and would be charged an extra $39.55. Seems to us, that message should pop up on the screen before Step One.... We didn't find the charge until we were home.
The Resort Fee is really unfair. Just raise your rates already and forget the pretense that we're getting something extra. There is NO shuttle, the pool area was closed, and now there is no longer even a tiny Keurig coffee maker in the room. I predict a parking fee by next year. (And I remember when The Orleans used to actually advertise that they didn't charge a resort fee...)
Where entertainment is concerned, we mourn the coming loss of Laughternoon. Adam is hilarious! Is more poker space really more important than a family-friendly show? And what happened to the Jersey Boys long-term contract? We were there for basketball, so had plenty to entertain us, but I don't know how you're attracting other guests with your entertainment line-up going forward.
Finally, the restaurant situation causes us to leave the property much more often than we used to. With the loss of the Buffet, and now of TGI Fridays, the choices are much diminished. Alder and Birch is only open 5 hours, and only on 5 days? Really? Copper Whisk has limited hours as well, closing at 3 p.m. twice a week. (Remember when it was 24-hour option??) Oh, and Bailiwick's is taking up the slack by opening 1 whole hour earlier? The Food Court was overwhelmed on the game-night we ate there.
The positive feelings we have about the hotel itself remain. You have a fine housekeeping staff; rooms are spacious and clean; location is just right. But we left after this stay with just a bit of a sour taste in our mouths.
