I reserved the Jockey Club because I was supposed to be in Las Vegas for a conference. The conference was cancelled but we decided to stay anyway. The location makes it easy for non-gambers to explorer the area and is great for gamblers to have easy access to the casinos.

We had a one bedroom unit that was huge. We stayed on the 11th floor (the highest) with an amazing view of the Bellagio fountains. The kitchen is nicely stocked with pretty much all the cookware and utensils you will need. Becasue of the pandemic we ate our meals in and never had a problem preparing our meals. We did grill one evening. Knowing that the barbeque utensils had to be checked out from the front desk on a first come basis, we took our own.

The enormous walk in closet had enough hangers for both my husband and me to hang all of our week's worth of clothing. It was nice having a laundry basket in the closet to hold our dirty clothes.

The bathroom is old and in desperate need of remodeling but the shower was wonderful. Lots of hot water and great water pressure.

The best part is the nonsmoking policy of the resort. They make a point of letting guests know this means the smoking of any substance, not just cigarettes. This is a real plus for someone who is sensitive to smoke.

We had a one bedroom condo (through exchange) on the 10th floor in the Ascot Tower with view of the fountains at the Bellagio and the strip. Our visit was for a week from Aug 1-7, 2020. We finally got to celebrate our 20th and now 21st anniversary. We had planned on it for our 20th last year, however had to cancel. Then we planned it for in April, but Covid shut everything down. So it was postponed. August is a very hot time to visit, but I will admit that it was not as bad as the Texas heat and humidity. It was 113 and with a mask on it was still tolerable to walk across the street to the mall as well as walk to Flamingo, Caesars, and MGM Grand.
Our condo was set up perfectly with a full size kitchen including stove, fridge and dishwasher. It also had all the utensils, dishes, pots, pans and anything else you may need. The Jockey Club is connected to the Cosmopolitan so it was easy to walk down to the lobby then take the elevator to the casino. We cut through the casino everyday to walk to Walgreens for beer and snacks and also to go to the mall and other casinos. I went to the Jockey Club pool one day while my honey slept in. There is a gym, sauna and bbq grills in the pool area. We also went to the Cosmo pool one day which is super nice and has a pool bar.
We got the breakfast specials one day from Blondie's located in the mall and it was the best, and huge portions for your money. I ordered it to go. We also ordered the 1/2 lb hamburger lunch special at Ocean One Grill on line to go and it was also very good. We went to Carlos and Charleys (since the one in Cancun is good) and we were really disappointed. Long wait for food and very expensive for carne asada tacos that were tough and bland. And the rice had green beans, peas and carrots in it. The refried beans tasted like can. Never again for that one for us. We had chicken from Hattie' B's located in Cosmos which I was not impressed with. It was rather bland for us and a bit expensive for what you get. All in all, everyone wore their mask when required and did social distancing where possible. There were more people than we expected, but it was a great time. Highly recommend The Jockey Club - Ascot Tower - Strip view. We will definitely return to this one.

Upon arrival we were greeted by the Bell Hop (DAMON) who took control of our bags and groceries until the room we requested was cleaned. The reception was great as we were met by (GIGI) who was by far one of the best we have run across, and we travel a lot. I did not care much for the location but once inside all went well. The room we got was 932 and suited us well. We will be arriving there next year in July for a birthday party and hope the love is still there.

There are only two really good things about the Jockey Club. One is it’s fantastic location on the Vegas Strip, neatly situated between the Bellagio and the Cosmopolitan. And the second is the complimentary free parking in the Cosmopolitan parking garage.

As for the facility it is a much older property than most with old dated furnishings and appliances like refrigerators and dishwashers that are worn and beat up looking. As for room selection of the three times we have stayed here only once did we get a decent room view with the other two times having a block wall or the parking structure staring us in the face. Calling ahead and requesting a view is a waste of time and I suspect they save the decent rooms for their rental clients. They pay no attention to returning customers so don’t expect any type of loyalty from the Jockey Club.

The customer service is , well, pretty non existent. We waited 20 minutes for the sole bellman to assist us as he was busy “helping housekeeping “. The garage key didn’t work so that had to be replaced. For a one week stay they provide two rolls of toilet paper and two packets of dishwasher soap. You can request additional supplies if need be. E sure and call for this days ahead of when you actually need it as you don’t know how long it takes to deliver.

This facility is basically a time share property managed by Tricom Management that needs a complete refurbishment but apparently the inept Board of Directors refuses to do so so each year it continues to slowly age more and more.

One new change is that motion sensors have been installed in each room so that the air conditioner deactivates when there is no motion. So prepare for some hot and sweaty nights and some real stuffy rooms when you go out for the day. This is great for energy conservation, just not for humans living in a desert. This development is reason enough to stay somewhere else.

But the location right in the middle of the strip is fantastic. So if you don’t mind camping out in an old hotel then Jockey Club is the place for you!

I have stayed at the Jockey Club before which is really just interesting due to its' location and you can use the Cosmo pool, (when open for summer periods). I made a reservation but then had to reschedule for a family wedding I have to attend, (I'm in the wedding party). I left several messages, (after being on hold for 20+ minutes), to reschedule my stay and never received a call back. When I finally got through they informed me I couldn't reschedule because it was past the 90 day final sale period. But I had been contacting them to reschedule with no reply! I would NOT recommend a timeshare as the value degrades quickly over time as well.

REVIEW of Airbnb Jockey Club Unit 934

This is an old time share resort condo which has been converted into a makeshift condo. The layout, furniture and appliances are very dated although functional.

This unit has two major pluses and multiple minuses for an extended stay of 5 days. First the positive. The location is excellent with easy access to the Bellagio, Cosmopolitan, Paris and Caesars Palace. The second positive is the fantastic view of the Bellagio and fountains from the south.

Now the negatives. We encountered an issue with the availability of sheets for the pull out sofa since this unit was supposed to be able to sleep six people with two queen beds in the single bedroom and the queen sofa bed in the living room. Contacting the host was unsuccessful in obtaining sheets, extra bath soap and hand soap. We were given an email, phone number to text and received a return text that this would be handled in the morning. Meanwhile we will just have to make do paying 300 dollars a night to sleep on the sofa. We were able to contact security using the phone in the hallway since there is no phone in the condo. The security officer was kind enough to bring some sheets to our room although he emphasized that its not their policy to provide any supplies to the private units which are considered homes. The pillow covers were stained as well as the bedsheets and looked less than freshly laundered in my opinion. I can only hope that they cleaned the blankets on a regular basis.

The sliding doors for the 1 bedroom are make shift barn doors which have been rigged to barely cover the wide 5 foot opening to the bedroom. Privacy can be challenging if the doors are not positioned perfectly leaving gaps on each side. There is a very small full bathroom with limited toiletries including 2 small bars of soap and a small amount of hand soap available. The shower head sits around 5 foot 5 inches from the floor and can be difficult to wash your hair if you are tall and have a bad back. The furnishings consisted of a hodgepodge of mixed new and older thrift store furniture with no apparent attention to detail. There are no dressers or night stands so you will be living off the floor and suitcases putting all your phones and glasses etc… on the floor or in the kitchen. A party of 4 can be challenging and virtually impossible for a party of 6. The lighting fixtures consists of multiple light bulb temperatures giving a strange hue to the room. There is so much dust on some of the furniture it appears the place hasn’t been dusted in weeks.

I didn’t expect much for a very dated 1 bedroom condo but unlike most VBRO homes this one is not very livable especially for stays longer than 2 days. If you don’t mind living out of your suitcase and the inconveniences mentioned above then this would work for you. I don’t think we will be returning to this condo in the future no matter how good of a view or location. Next time we will just stay at another hotel and pay the resort fee.

Free coffee and popcorn in the hospitality room from 7 to 11 daily! Puzzles, games, DVD's, books for guests to use as needed. Shuttle was provided to the light show. Accommodations are very spacious. More like a one bedroom apartment. Full size stove, refrigerator, fully stocked kitchen, large sitting area, bedroom has plenty of room and includes a loveseat and walk in closet.

My parents purchased a timeshare here back in the 1970’s. Many wonderful family vacation memories were made here over the years. Both my father and mother have passed away and the timeshare was deeded to my brother and I. I feel my parents spirit still when visiting the Jockey Club. This property is considered historic by Las Vegas standards. Once upon a time, the Jockey Club twin towers stood prominently surrounded by a lush green golf course toward the west and north. Today, the Jockey Club is dwarfed and practically hidden by the 52 story tall Cosmopolitan Hotel and Casino. If you have never been here before, you probably would not even notice the Jockey Club as you drive down Las Vegas Blvd. The timeshare units are very clean but the decor is kind of dated. Most of the units facing north have a very nice view of the Bellagio fountains and the Las Vegas Strip. All the units facing south look at the concrete wall of the Cosmopolitan. Each unit offers a full kitchen. I recommend a trip to the grocery store. We enjoyed breakfast every morning in our room and it saved us a lot of time and money on restaurant expenses. There is a swimming pool, hot tub and exercise facility on the second floor. Access to the Cosmopolitan Casino is just an elevator ride away. Free underground parking is available. Unlike most hotels in Las Vegas, the Jockey Club does not charge a Resort fee. Daily housekeeping is not offered but it is very easy to get clean towels and bed linens as needed.

Could have been worse, could have been a lot better. Return customer with 6 previous visits. All other times had a well maintained clean room...not this time. Room 742 in Derby Tower was dismal. Little light from the window as a wall was opposite so no sun, no view except for the wall. Actually I can live with that, it's Vegas, who spends much time in the room anyways. Full housekeeping is supposed to be every 3 days, but after 9 days I complained that never happened and I needed toilet paper. The towels were replaced daily when left in the laundry basket as expected. The furnishings were worn and tired, headboard ripped, lounge furniture dirty, Carpet worn. Kitchen was well equipped and clean. Great location, but won't stay there again and wouldn't recommend to others.

I personally like to stay at the Jockey Club and we've stayed there multiple times. The location is AMAZING, right in the middle of the strip, between Bellagio and Cosmopolitan. If you are lucky to get the strip view, it's the best view on the whole strip, overlooking the Bellagio Fountains. I love love love that view. However, if they don't have the room with the view available, you will be looking at a brick wall your whole stay. You can't make requests for a room with a view in advance, so pray you get lucky cause it really is a million dollar view.
The atmosphere is very home like, the place is very clean and meets all my family needs. Kitchen is on the small side and very well stocked. I love their spacious walk in closets to store all the luggage and hang all our clothes. However, the place is one of the most dated timeshares you will find. The furniture, bathrooms and kitchen need some serious updated. That's the only major drawback for us. If they update the place, it will be the most perfect timeshare option in Vegas for us.

Unfortunately, there are no free airport shuttles to hotels on the Vegas strip. Clark County regulations prohibit individual hotels on the Vegas strip from operating private shuttles to and from the airport. There are several commercial shuttles, however, that will take you to any of the Las Vegas hotels once you arrive.
