The Circus Circus Hotel & Casino garners mixed reviews for its service, with accolades for staff friendliness at times overshadowed by complaints of disorganization. The atmosphere is frequently described as gloomy, with an outdated ambiance that many find less than inviting. While some guests commend the hotel for its cleanliness, others recount experiences marred by neglect. Discontent is common regarding the state of the rooms, which are often criticized for being dirty and outdated. The amenities are deemed acceptable for the price, offering family-friendly activities and a location praised for its proximity to attractions and ample parking. However, the perceived value suffers due to hidden fees and aging facilities, leading some guests to feel the hotel does not offer good value for their money.

In this day and age, what hotel does not have the aforementioned amenities in every room? I get it...they want you to spend money in their restaurants, but REALLY??!!!?? I have been travelling for at least 30 years and can count on one hand how many hotels do not have those basics. How outdated is that?

Hello, thank you for your review. We are sorry that you were not satisfied with the in-room amenities. It is tough to find hotels in Las Vegas that have these, as every property has such great food and beverage offerings. We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us, and hope to see you again.

Circus Circus is a resort and casino with adequate entertainment if you have small, tweens or teens, even young adults as siblings. You can spend a day at the adventuresome, enjoy the short circus acts at the stage located in the casino, every hour alive!. We went there to visit the strip, with a 7 and 5 yo. Check in was a breeze (not a convention week), got to upgrade for $15 a day (do not recommend the manor), so we stayed on floor 34, facing East, could not get a view of the strip, but good enough to view the city, parking was so close and easy to reach, could get in/out without charge, at garage 1. Circus Circus may get a facelift, new owner is announced!.

I booked Circus Circus knowing the property had been sold and there would likely be some deficiencies during the turnover, but the price was right. Like many Las Vegas hotels, the price you are quoted is about half of what you actually pay, once the resort fees are added on. I knew this ahead of time so no surprises. I stayed in one of the motel-like buildings across the street from the main casino, so the walk to the casino was about 2 blocks. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the pillows were the cheapest foam, and not comfortable. The furniture, furnishings, decorations, and equipment in the room were functional but old, like 1980's old. There was hot water and adequate water pressure in the shower, a pleasant surprise. Other reviewers have commented that it is noisy and they are right. You can hear everything from the hallway and surrounding rooms. The staff was friendly and helpful. The valet parking was very reasonably priced. We managed to get some decent alcoholic beverages in the theme park. The steak house was awesome! But that's a separate review.

We had the WORST experience here that we have ever had with a hotel. We booked 2 HOTEL rooms and paid a few hundred dollars for each. When we arrived we were told that we would be across the street in a motel room. Upon someone allowing us to see the room they were put in, the room was about a 1.5 star rating and a complete dump. I don’t quite understand how a hotel can advertise a hotel room and then put you across the street off property in a motel room that is really disgusting. My dad is unable to walk very far so we couldn’t stay off property. The hotel basically told us too bad unless you wanna pay several hundred dollars more to upgrade. We left and had to book a completely new reservation elsewhere and have now lost hundreds of dollars. If you book a hotel room here you better be sure you will be staying in the hotel and not put into a motel off property as a complete dump. Worst experience ever.

We didn't heed the other terrible reviews for this hotel as we found from previous experiences that some people exaggerate a bit...not this time. From greasy hand and body prints left on the headboard of the bed to the blood stained comforter we will never stay there again.

When we had called housekeeping about these issues, the housekeeping manager came to our door. We first showed her the headboard prints. She stated that the headboards are always cleaned and that we are mistaken as these are stains that will not come off. She then tried showing us by wiping her hand over the headboard...thus causing the greasy marks to smear and also showing that it actually hadn't been cleaned for quite some time as she was causing dust to clump on it. She did offer us another room, but we rathered this one be cleaned in front of us than changing into another possibly dirty room.

Then we showed her the stain on the comforter that looked like a blood stain. She brought us another comforter that came out of a bag directly from the laundry room. She was obviously annoyed and said "See, this one is directly out of the bag and is clean", I responded "That's fine, but I did not pay to stay in a hotel with stained bedding".

When she was leaving, she mentioned she had talked to the front desk and had them give us a discount on the room. (This was not true, they had heard nothing about the complaints)

After she had left, we thought we would watch tv. The colour was terrible and you couldn't change it to the tv menu to fix the settings as the menu button on the tv itself did not work. Then we found the shower was plugged and would hardly drain. Called housekeeping the next day to fix the drain as we didn't want to deal with them again that night.

We had hoped that we wouldn't have to spend much time in the room anyways, but my husband ended up having a kidney stone, which left us having to stay in the room almost all our trip waiting for it to pass.

Yes, the room is terribly dated (not a big deal) but it was also not cleaned properly for quite some time.

The floors in this hotel was the dirtiest I've ever seen I had the same cleaner floors in Motel 6.

The showers backed up in drained very slowly leaving film and dirt in the tub.
The shower curtains had long rust marks on them. That was no soap dish or rack of any sort for you to hang your soap or set your soap in.
The shower wrecks in the bathroom have rust on them.

The toilets was so low to the floor that my 3-year-old who is 3 ft tall could stand up and urinate directly into the toilet

No amenities in the room whatsoever other than the TV they didn't even have a clock in the room.

The carpet leading away from the elevators was all different colors and big water spots as if it had rained in it on the floor.

They stayed the room has two queen size beds but they actually are full size beds and the worst mattresses I have ever slept on.

The furniture in the room and the beds look like they was from the '70s, I know those were the same curtains they had hanging in the '80s I remember them.

I will never ever stay in circus circus again it was the worst hotel visit I've ever had.

I watch the cleaning service clean the room across the hall from me and they didn't know sanitation toward cobit they didn't even have the sprayers that they sanitized the rooms with so beware. Upon our arrival we immediately went to Walmart and got Lysol spray and sprayed down the entire room and if you stay there you should do the same because they do not sterilize the rooms.

Although we are offering limited Housekeeping service for guests in-house, the team is available for anything you need including additional amenities or room touch-ups. I will be sure to share your feedback with our Housekeeping and Engineering teams for further review. We apologize that you were not more satisfied with your overall visit, and we do hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future.

So I booked ahead and had a confirmation which said I had paid including all fees and charges. Not so. They still wanted a resort fee, although I’m not sure for what, since pools were closed, attractions were closed, cable wasn’t working and wifi was barely functional. Then I get to my room to find full garbage cans, dirt and stains all over the carpet, black mold in the shower, and urine stains on the bathtub. They did change my room on being shown photos. Fast forward to check out, they charge a $70 damage deposit and assure you it is instantly refunded on check out. Nope. 3 days later, no refund, and no response to 4 emails and 2 phone calls.
Pay a little more and stay somewhere else. This place is criminal.

4/2022. For the price they charge expectations were not met. Not a resort even though they charge as such, it more like a Motel 6. Buildings dilapidated, stains on floors, rooms smelt heavy of cigarettes and pot. Wall paper pealing and stains on walls. Took 45min to check in. The buffet food was very pricy for what tasted like frozen food. Our room had been smoked in smelt heavily of pot, and a plastic bag was wrapped around the fire alarm, called front desk asking for so room freshener and to have the fire alarm checked and plastic removed. Front desk said they'd send someone right away. Also wanted it on record we did not smoke in our non smoking room, no one ever came and we left with plastic still on fire alarm. Asked to have our room cleaned (Mostly for fresh towels and trash removed) put the door hanger on door, found door hanger on our floor and nothing done in our room. Numerous employees approached us trying to upsell into a membership or whatever else they were selling. 3 fast food restaurants located within, late one night we went to DQ, stall bread, soggy french fries, extremally slow service. Highly over priced for such a run down, trashy place. They only good thing I can say is the bed was comfy, and sheet clean. The throw blanket was dingy with stains.

Horrible service, got physically locked out of our own rooms (because housekeeping locked the horizontal lock inside) and was refused to get back into the room because "the original booking person wasn't physically there" even though we still managed to get our keys in and despite our family had a child emergency that needed to do first aid asap and all our stuff needed was inside the room. We were even given attitude from the staff throughout, and housekeeping didn't even bother to clean on our 2nd night of our stay. Keys were constantly not working and had to be changed every day.

Another note: there is no complementary water either and calling guest services from the room was pointless as nobody ever picks up overtime.
Only good point is that parking is free, or else I would not recommend this place.

If you’re a normal person who is respectful to people in large crowds, this place is not for you. You have to be able to freely loudly curse in front of women children and strangers. You need to have your ass hanging out of your pants with face and neck tattoos. Make sure you smoke in areas that you aren’t allowed to, drop all your food and trash on the ground when done, and cut in any lines you are in.

Now for the hotel. Our room wasn’t cleaned after we checked in - arrived to a totally destroyed room full of trash and laundry. It took two trips in to finally get a clean room at 7:45 at night. The key cards failed twice - huge pain to have to go all the way back through the casino areas to the front desk to repair. The food courts are gross and homeless people have psychotic breakdowns everywhere inside (security is nonexistent). Don’t bring your family or yourself here.

Connecting rooms are an option but you will pay for the two rooms and need to mention at time of booking. Many updates in the past few years - rooms are nice!

Depends on what you think is cold water - I'm from New England and will swim in Florida waters in January but local Floridians think it is too cold. I would recommend calling the hotel to ask what will be open. We were there in early November and the hot tub and pool were open, but the water slides were closed for the winter. The hot tub was great. I didn't try the pool but folks also using the hot tub said the were running back and forth between the pool and hot tub to warm up (they are both outside). Weather mapping puts daytime temps in the 60s-low 70s (16-18 Celsius) in early March. It is the desert so it drops in temp quickly at night - as soon as the sun goes down. That said, Circus Circus has an indoor amusement park (check ticket price) and arcade that the are good for the 4 yo and multiple free daily short shows that are family friendly - like clowns, trapeze, etc. It is at the end of the Strip so if you want to go to the main area, like the Bellagio, you will have to take a cab with the kids or rent a car. Even with a car Vegas is a lot of walking and it is visually very stimulating. You will want a stroller for both of the kids because they will get tired very quickly. If you rent a car, get one that has pickup/drop off in the airport. The cheap rental agencies require at least one bus and 20 mins to get to. You will definitely want to go to Fremont Street in Old Vegas. Free to walk around, lots of lights and entertainment - bands, performers, etc.
