Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Been going to Vegas for trade shows for 20+ years This was the first time I tried Sam's Town and all I can say is this will be my go to going forward. Yes it is off the beaten path and it does take about 20 minutes to get to the LV convention center....but it can take 20 minutes from most anywhere else in Vegas. The casual vibe and room set up is very nice and parking once you figure out the lay of the land is very convenient. First time visitor here and very impressed with the staff and the accommodations. As Arnold says "I'll be back!" ;)

Travelers should first know is that Sam’sTown is a smoking casino. There are ashtrays at quite a number of the machines. There is no good way to completely escape tobacco smoke. Travelers should also know that Sam’sTown is located off-the-strip and in an economically depressed area. We saw a number of homeless people around and inside the complex, including in the casino bathrooms, but we didn’t observe direct confrontations between the locals and the casino guests. The Sam’sTown facility itself is in most ways more than adequate, with a good-sized and delightful atrium full of live trees in the middle. Its rooms are clean and promptly made up daily, without the transparent excuse of some hotels that not having daily clean sheets and towels will “save the planet.” We did go without hot water for awhile in the middle of the night but, overall, the complex is fine. An assortment of national brand fast-food joints and a couple of fancier restaurants inside the complex make dining choices within the walls fairly broad. And the Sam’sTown staff is really quite good. From the front desk and bellmen to the abundant security staff, the employees were well-motivated and clearly there to help. Bottom line: If you want a somewhat bargain-feeling experience off the strip, and you don’t mind tobacco smoke, Sam’s Town is a reasonable choice, particularly in view of the pleasant atrium and even more pleasant staff. If you’re tobacco-adverse, want a bit more glitz, and don’t particularly want to just stay in one facility, look further.

Best place I’ve stayed at in Vegas. They were able to get us in since our last hotel was trash And we had to switch hotels mid vacation. The rooms spacious and very clean. The staff is super friendly. Super helpful and the pricing is very reasonable . We were able to get really decently priced drinks at the bar gamble. Some had a lot of fun and the top of it all off they have a restaurant here called the angry butcher 10 out of 10 I do recommend!!!

I've been a long-time visitor there. There are a variety of restaurants to go to with different price ranges. So many slots to play. The tables are fine. They have a big bingo tournament at times, with bingo played there I believe every day. So much to do! Bowling, movies anyone? Arcade room. Pool that's opened for a good part of the day. Stays open until 8p or 10p. I can't remember. Hot tub is great as well. I only wish they'd bring the buffet back. Covid ruined too many good things! But there are plenty of other restaurants to choose from....TGI Friday's, McDonald's, Panda Express, Roberto's. There is an ice cream place, A sports deli. A steak house. Dunkin Donuts and a Subway! So much to choose from. The rooms are good! I didn't think they needed to remodel when they did, but you can really tell the difference. A little refrigerator and coffee maker in each room. Ironing board with iron, if needed. Plenty of drawers and closet room. Showers are better than they were before the remodel. You usually have a choice when booking the room to have either a park view or scenic mountain views. The park is nice and calming. Plenty of seating in different areas. There is a bar close to the water/laser show that starts around 4pm and goes every 2 hours, I believe, until midnight. It's covered, so always a great temperature and perfect weather! My sister and I are heading there again in May. We try to go there at least once a year. Every time we stay, we are not disappointed. I'm getting excited just thinking about it again! Enjoy yourself if you go! 54

This was our 3rd stay at Sam's Town. For being an older property, they have done a very good job, keeping the place fresh and current. Our room was very nice, beds were great. It was nice that you can actually access the hotel rooms, without going through the casino. The general public does not have access to the hotel rooms, which keeps them very quiet.

Stayed with friends in Vegas, but went to Sam's Town for food and fun (gambling). They have a TGIF restaurant and the Angry Butcher. We went to both on separate days. They were both good, but we wish they would bring back the buffet they closed during the pandemic, we miss it. We would have gone a third day since we were close by, instead we went to a restaurant nearby.

We had not visited Sams Town since before the Pandemic and I can tell you that Sams is long gone...the place seems abandoned, unfriendly, we miss the buffet and the wonderful casino hosts we had in the past. There literally was NO service the day we came and played, no cocktail and had to literally yell for help with a malfunctioning slot machine!! Are they running this place on a skeleton crew now? The machine I was on malfunctioned and I literally missed out on a $100 payout that was mine...after enough double talk from three slot techs we walked out...never to return. Goodbye Sams Town, like so much in Las Vegas these days, you have died and gone to hell.

The casino itself was a good time, but towards the end of my time there I had a situation where I was waiting for my ride and there were some REALLY sketchy people right by the main entrance so I was waiting with my child inside the first set of doors, but then a Hispanic looking security on a bike came by and was very rude when I explained the situation I was experiencing and how I just needed to be by the doors for a minute or so to keep an eye out for my ride. It left a really bad impression and makes me wonder if they train their employees at all in how to treat a guest. They should also be better about analyzing the situation seeing as they were strongly enforcing something that really wasn’t that big of a deal at the expense of making a guest feel unsafe and like security doesn’t care about their well being. Very poor job by that security on the bike by the main entrance ( 11PM 12/1/23).

We arrived at the hotel at 2am feeling very exhausted and ready to get our room and go to bed. When we went to the front desk, there was no one in sight. We finally found a security guard and he pointed at a sign that said the attendant would be returning at 2:45. We had to sit around and wait for over 30 minutes. Completely unacceptable!

Hello. We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with us. Because of the low volume of overnight check-in's, we only have one team member available during those hours. This team member is required to take breaks and lunch during their shift, but if we are given a heads-up on the approximate time of your arrival, we would be more than happy to make arrangements to have them available to assist you. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by our team member's absence when you arrived, and we are disappointed to see that it negatively impacted your experience with us.
