At the Rio All-suite Hotel & Casino, guest opinions vary widely. While the location is often praised for its proximity to attractions and quieter setting, some guests find it a bit remote. The service receives mixed reviews, with compliments on friendliness juxtaposed with frustrations over responsiveness. Renovated rooms are a hit for their comfort and space, yet the unrefurbished ones draw criticism for their outdatedness and lack of cleanliness. Amenities offer both highlights such as dining options and lowlights like construction inconveniences. Opinions on value and atmosphere are divided, with some citing reasonable prices for updated rooms while others are put off by unexpected fees and areas needing renovation. Noise from ongoing construction has also been a common disturbance for many guests.

This was our fourth stay at a Harrah's property and the first time at Rio. This was by far our most disappointing. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating and the room was very spacious. When we got to our room, we had a wet cloth/floor mop sitting on top of the dresser. This was our first concern. When we opened the TV cabinet, one of the doors would not stay open and was really a safety hazard. The sofa cushions sank into the sofa when you sat on them and the headboard was extremely worn and cracked. If you leaned up against and and then went to get up, it sounded like velcro being pulled apart as you got up. The shower/tub diverter valve needed to be replaced as half of the water continued to run into the tub rather than thru the shower head. The closet door would not completely close as the ironing board legs protruded through it due to being hung improperly on the wall. The carpet in the hallways and in the room were coming apart at the seams and long "strings" of carpet fiber were apparent.
If someone would just cut the long strings, it would be a huge improvement. The list goes on, but hopefully one gets the idea of the needed maintenance. We asked for clean towels and more shampoo. I left the dirty towels at the door. When we got back, we had clean towels and toilet paper. I called back down to let them know they didn't pick up the dirty towels and didn't bring any shampoo. Housekeeping brought more towel as well as shampoo, lotion as soap. The bed was comfortable but noticed small tears in our sheets. There were four very small pillows on the bed - each with varying degrees of firmness. Parking is complimentary and they have a four level deck for parking. Evening shows at the hotel - especially on Friday and Saturday nights - made finding a parking spot a challenge.

Not a big gambler and only spent one night on the strip for dinner and a walk. Stayed for a week and my king room on the 20th floor was great with super high ceiling. Unlike some of the other reviews, my room really did look like the pics. Sure a few scratches here and there, but so what? After spending each day hiking at Red Rock Canyon or Lake Mead, it was so comforting to come back to this room and have a hot bath (the spa closes too early.) It's conveniently located right on by the freeways and a Hertz rental desk is in the lobby. For hotels that charge a BS fee, I automatically deduct a star since they should be competing for businesses by highlighting their amenities like they used to. I'll stay again and I can transfer my points between ceasars and wyndham. Housekeeping was little inconsistent but I didn't expect it to be as good as it was. I read some reviews saying they smelled sewage. There was a faint smell of something, but I think it may be that Vegas uses recycled water, The rio wasn't the only place I smelled it. very faint though.

After reservation in the wrong part of town, I moved into the Rio for 6 nights. I was very happy to be put in a big clean double with a view of the Rio Sign. Jimmy the bartender at the bar in the main casino always was pleasant, supportive of my meager gambling efforts. Richard at the club card desk went out of his way multiple times to get information for me on how to find the right location for my Lyft pickup. Leahann in housekeeping 12th floor Masquerade Tower always provided extra towels and demonstrated wonderful housekeeping service. I stayed from Monday and checked out yesterday morning. The hotel can use some sprucing up, but you can’t ask for better staff to work with. The guests I met were lovely people from all over the country. California, Tennessee, Florida and of course New England. I recommend it for couples and families with over 21 children.

The room was huge and very clean. The beds were as fluffy as clouds, the pillows were in no short supply, from firm to billowy. The fridge was no ordinary fridge; it was of professional grade. IIf you want a quiet room, you got it...not one peep from anyone. The only thing missing was a coffee maker.

We'll be back next year, same time.

This had been our go to place to stay in Las Vegas. We always liked being off the strip, with free parking and big rooms, but those features don't make up for our most recent visit and it was probably our last stay.

At check in we were offered a $10 food and beverage credit if we declined the daily cleaning service. It's suggested to you as a "Green" option, but after our stay we're pretty sure it's due to understaffing. When we arrived there was a room service tray on the floor near our room and when we left two days later it was still there.

Our room was barely clean, no longer had a coffee maker and the couch looked like it was picked up off a corner for free.

Beyond the room nothing in the casino had changed; same restaurants, shows, activities and games.

The final disappointment was leaving my phone charger in the room and it not being found. So either an employee kept it when they found it, the room is still waiting to be cleaned days later or they just don't want the hassle of mailing it to me.

It's unfortunate to see it this way, but it's obvious that there is no money going into this hotel for upkeep and repairs, because only so much can be blamed on understaffing. I could have taken multiple photos of damage, wear and tear that was obvious it's just being left alone.

Not sure where we'll start next visit, but the Rio will definitely be a last resort.

The room had stains on the ceiling and on the flooring. The toilet-paper looked as if we were not the first to use it. The non-smoking room smelt like cigars/cigarettes. The sleep was fine and the view was great. If you are going to charge the max amount for everything you should probably provide breathtaking service/rooms. Not so much the dated version of what you offer. Loved the parking option and would love to come to Vegas again

Chose this hotel because of location and what I thought would be a great guest experience. I was wrong. Check-in was a disaster. The express check in line was wrapped around the hotel lobby. Guests were cutting in line and the hotel staff could not control the situation. Once I checked in after waiting in the line for more than a hour, I was excited to get to the room. For the most part, the room was what I expected for the price I paid.

Room: The room was clean but outdated and in need of some small maintenance. The bathroom shower faucet was literally falling off the wall. The TV wasn’t a smart TV but hey it worked fine. The mini fridge hummed but did keep the drinks cold. The bathroom sink drained slowly which made the sink extremely dirty since the residue didn’t go down immediately. The view from the room was amazing and the best part of the entire stay. No microwave in room or in a common area so no need to take left overs from eating out. You are only allowed to connect 2 devices to the WiFi unless you pay $15 a day for additional device connections.

The Grounds: (4) pools but one pool was out of order during my stay. One of the pools was 21+ which was cool. Really no issues or complaints about the pool area other than it’s only open from 10am-6pm. This is Vegas.

Customer Service: Despite repeated attempts of requesting room service, no one ever came to clean or service the room. They only sent up requested items such as towels and toiletries. We were here for 3 days. I had a trash mountain in the floor because it’s only one small trash can in the room. Use the text message system and do not attempt to call the front desk as no one answered. They would text back within a minute or so to answer questions.

Furthermore, if you pay more than $60 a night for their standard room, you’re better off going somewhere else.

We are just finishing our second stay at the Rio. Last trip we paid for a high-floor suite in Ipanema Tower, this trip we took a less expensive suite on a lower floor in the same tower. Regardless, it can take you an hour or more to check in unless you use the self-check in terminals. The higher floor suite was really special. The corner suite we are in this trip is private, spacious and has plenty of places to sit, but suffers from substantial wear and years of use. It is quiet and we slept well. On the down side, the carpet is worm and the seams are separating. Wallpaper is peeling in several places. The shower is half plugged with hard water scale. The towel holder is falling off the wall. The furniture is clean but beat up. This less expensive suite (we paid about $110 plus $40 resort fee) has a fridge, but no coffee maker or microwave, and the hair dryer is terrible. The safe was locked and we could not use it. Now, it is true that they advertise some suites at apparently very low prices but you will also pay about $40 a day "resort fee" which is common in Vegas hotels, so be forewarned! Everything in the hotel reflects "resort pricing" so bring your own snacks! Overall, The Rio was of average to poor value and very expensive. There are far better accommodations available at the Rio, for a price. The Rio is not on the strip.

Are double beds room in the masquerade tower was clean and very roomy. Housekeeping was good and available in the hallways when we needed additional towels or amenities. They were kind and accommodating. All of the food outlets in the hotel are extremely overpriced and it's disappointing that the seafood festival buffet is no longer there. The casino floor is rather boring as there is no entertainment at all. What happened to the carnival in the sky? There needs to be live music and dancers sporadically popping up on the little stages. Bring back the old days and he will fill your casino and hotel again. But for now if all you're looking for is a decent room to stay in this place is fine. otherwise I do not recommend.

Hi all
We stayed at the Rio Hotel rm 329 there was 2 adaults, a 17 year old boy and 14 year old girl. Upon arrival they had us down for 2 people in the room and didn't know about the 2 children which I had booked for then we was told our 9 doller per person breakfast was a max of 2 people a room so kids didn't get breakfast, I asked to speak to the manager but was told he was to busy, when I asked about where to get breakfast I was told it was only Starbucks we could get breakfast from using the 18 doller (great choice NOT)
When getting into the room the carpets had holes in them the bed was so old it dipped in the middle so you could lie flat and the shower well I dribbled out with no power, the taps leaked when using them and on the walls pictures had been removed but the raw plugs were just left showing, fitting on the wall buy the connecting door was on the floor with the screw sticking out no tea or coffee which you would expect from a 4 star hotel.
All I can say is my wife compares it to the hotel from the film the shinning, its so old and dated also only 2 devices can use the WiFi for free, in this day an age everyone uses WiFi.
The only plus side was the room was a good size that's it
