Sometimes properties start off strong and whimper after a few years. But Red Rock is not one of them, in fact, they are as good now as when they first opened.

First and foremost, this is the place for locals. In fact, employee name tags have their tagline: We LOVE Locals. So we are what they call gravy on the potatoes. One thing that has changed over the years is the mix of "tourists". It used to be 70% gamblers and the rest convention folks, and now it is the opposite. Not necessarily a good thing with all those folks walking around with badges around their necks.

Rooms and suites are spacious, here you can expect 4 star quality. Amenities, furnishings are average. There is no Keurig machine if you can believe and bottled water only at turndown.

There are plenty of restaurants, most of them average, even the new ones. The cafe is perhaps the best of the lot with consistent service and excellent breakfasts. The buffet is very popular with the locals especially on weekend nights so avoid at all costs at that time. Downtown Summerlin is a 10 minute stroll and offers far better choices.

Entertainment is virtually unlimited from gaming to bowling to 16-screen movie theater to bingo and walking at the Red Rock canyon just a few minutes down the road. Very spacious casino area with food court, nice poker room and sports book.

Spa was recently redone and is one of the best in all of Vegas especially if you love a great steam room and whirlpool. Outdoor lap pool is unique and worth a trip just for this if you are a swimmer. They just enacted a $25 day fee on top of the resort fee. $60 for 3 days, worth the price of admission.

Overall, great vibe and plenty of options for a cocktail, meal, spin on the slots and to hang out. Locals love Red Rock and so do we.

We chose this hotel because of the many wonderful reviews I read before booking our stay. I would’ve given this hotel review a 5 star rating except for the following (we were staying on the 6th floor): 1) annoying, loud, high-pitched noise when using the bathroom shower; 2) other plumbing noises; ie dripping-faucet sounds; 3) and the floor above us sounded like there were marbles being dropped on the wooden floor. I’m just glad we didn’t hear these noises continuously. We did hear the same annoying noise when other occupants close to our room were taking their showers. This was during New Year’s Eve 3 night stay, hotel was sold out and probably, would’ve been useless to complain, so we didn’t even bother, we just took very short showers. The hotel management needs to correct this problem; especially when they charge $45 resort fee each day. We did like the awesome view of the Las Vegas strip view from inside our hotel room and it was definitely much quieter and less crazy than hotels on the strip. Walking distance to the Downtown Summerlin shopping mall was also a plus! Red Rock personnel, from the front desk; Restaurants; to the cleaning staff, were all very professional and did their jobs nicely.

We decided to stay at this hotel after hearing wonderful things about it. To say we were less than impressed is an understatement. When we checked in,the front desk person was less then helpful. The room we had was very nice but to our dismay there was a tray with alcohol, bottled water, and several boxes of candy. We had our grandchildren with us and wanted the tray removed because there was a 15 second rule that f you picked it up you would have to pay for it. When we called to get the tray removed they said there would be a $25 charge ( totally unexceptionable). Then they said we would have to remove all items from the tray and store them in our closet which we did. Next was the housekeeping that left a lot to be desired. After our first night our room was not cleaned and all our used towels were still laying wet on the floor. We called housekeeping to complain and they sent us extra towels but had to be told to take the wet ones. After our first night another room must have had room service. The tray was left in the hallway with food for 2 more nights until we called to complain for someone to pick up the tray. Only then did someone finally take the tray away. For a hotel that is supposed to be upscaled and charges a resort fee it was very disappointing.
The only pluses the hotel had is that we had a beautiful view of the mountains and it had a beautiful pool.

Loved this Hotel!

If you are looking for the typical strip casino/hotel experience, Red Rock is NOT for you. If you are looking for a great hotel, with first class service, wonderful restaurants, comfortable rooms with great views, read on. My husband and I stayed at Red Rock because it was close to our friends who live in Summerlin. We were there to celebrate my birthday.
From the start, this place was great. The hotel lobby is completely separate from the casino, so you aren't walking past slots to get to your room, and the hotel elevators are an easy walk from the front desk. No "Vegas Vacation" experience here! The desk clerk, the valet and bellhops were all friendly and professional, even with the dreaded Covid face masks. We were there two nights and everything we asked for was provided promptly and with friendly service. We asked housekeeping for more shampoo since we had used the provided bottles and we were left with a bag full of shampoo, conditioner, soap, body wash and lotion. Wonderful!

We ate in the Steakhouse on the second night and the food was excellent and service wonderful.

Due to Covid there are a few restrictions; the pool and spa was closed :( and we were all masked but apart from that it is business as usual. Some hotels are cutting down on services with the Covid excuse, but that is not the case at Red Rock.

We had a corner king with a great view of the Canyon. The room was huge and I was able to stretch out and relax in the large marble tub (which was separate from the shower - no tub/shower combo here). We ordered room service the first night and had for breakfast on the last day and had plenty of room to enjoy our meals.

I stayed at this property for 2 nights recently. I also tried to send an email to the hotel to apprise them of many issues and hope to get a response. I am surprised at the cost of the rooms and the facility. The signage and information throughout the building was extremely inadequate. The hotel seems to be poorly designed. From what parking lot to use to park as a guest of the hotel to the pool maintenance requiring you to walk thru the casino to visit the pool area. My friend had a bottle of water from the hotel and was told she could not take it to the pool. I also was surprised when I heard that to use the computers at the visitor center there was a fee. This nickel and diming is unusual for a decent hotel and lowers a person's opinion greatly. I would not recommend staying at this hotel to anyone unless they are in desperate need of cardio. The room's A/C didn't seem to work well butI was happy to note that housekeeping came up immediately with a fan. I also attended a wall yoga class which was nice. I am also surprised that there is almost no advertising of the fitness center's classes. I travel extensively and while no hotel is perfect Red Rock could be significantly better with a few tweaks. It is quite frustrating to have to wander around and always have a key card in hand to utilize the elevators. I am sure this is for safety due to an unfortunate incident but it becomes arduous. When we arrived very late in the evening and was unsure where to park and to check in. I used a phone by the elevators to inquire where the check in desk was and was placed on hold so she could check her notes to see where it was. Toiletries supplied were very nice, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, makeup wipe, q tips & cotton squares. Wifi was decent. The resort fee was unnecessary as it was for things you fully expect in any hotel such as free wifi. Lots of chain restaurants on the property which were decent. All in all I would not stay again and cannot recommend.

The best pool environment found in Las Vegas is the Red Rock Hotel. The design of the pool area allows for rambunctious, relaxation and conservative. We took advantage of all of it. A part of me doesn’t want to share this but the hotel earned it.

We wanted heat and chose the hottest time of the year to get it. Knowing we wanted to be pampered , a clean facility with hot weather Red Rock Hotel has delivered!

The main pool side roped off adult cabana area with lounge chairs and umbrella allowed us to soak up the sun while also ducking inside the cabana to enjoy the complimentary fruit dish and refreshing drinks in the refrigerator while catching up on media with the flat screen TV. Red Rock Hotel employees provided unparalleled service throughout the day without a flaw. Especially refreshing was enjoying the Red Rock Hotels commitment to keeping the restrooms clean throughout the day.

Now the part I’m hesitant to share...

The Red Rock Hotel Las Vegas SPA “is” the best value in all of Nevada. 3 Relaxing Cabanas and pool side lounge chairs await you for a quiet pool side full service drinks and meals. The work out room, his and hers steam rooms, hot tubs and showers provide a relaxing environment that made us leave behind the world. “Spa staff & atmosphere at the Red Rock Hotel Las Vegas set the bar for any hotel.”

My compliments go out to the general manager at the Red Rock Hotel Las Vegas your hiring decisions have put this hotel #1 in Las Vegas.

With two days left in our stay I can’t think of any other place I want to be.

We are a very Covid conscious family and have been distancing and wearing masks since day 1. However, the policies here are downright ridiculous. Even OUTSIDE by the pool Ans more than six feet apart, they are requiring masks. How does one get sun with a mask over the face? Additionally, the website doesn’t tell you this but all hot tubs are closed due to Covid. Again - they are outside - and resorts we have visited this year have had outdoor hot tubs open. Also, if you want a sprite delivered poolside - no problem. But ask for an ice water and that’s not allowed. Because apparently one liquid cannot be carried during Covid while another can. How does this make sense? Add in the fact that the pool is not heated (what five star resort doesn’t have a heated pool) and elevators that keep getting stuck (we spent 30 minutes in one yesterday), and I would not recommend this resort to anyone trying to have a fun family vacation. Website needs to be transparent about what is open and closed (be aware that although the movie theater is still listed on the site, it is not open) and about the fact that their open air / outdoor Covid rules are beyond restrictive.

It pains me to write this review because this literally my favorite hotel to stay at in Vegas. I have come back to stay here many time over many years. So when the lockdown lifted and it is my birthday of course I planned a get away at Red Rock. Well this is the first time I have been truly disappointed with the cleanliness. We chose to stay in a suite and my daughter pulled out the sofa couch and the sheets were not on the bed and the mattress had a huge urine stain on it. Now I would think during these times that the upmost standards would be maintained for infection control. I contacted the manager working 4/10 at 130p and he was of no help and did not provide a reasonable solution. He was suppose to call me back and did not. The second manager I called to resolve the situation offered NO solution as well..1. move to another comparable room or upgrade Answer: we are sold out 2 comp the stay and thoroughly clean the couch Answer: I can take $100 off the bill..They sent a dayshift housekeeping manager to the room and she sent staff in that wanted to put a mattress cover over the urine stain mattress. Unacceptable. They finally changed the couch mattress but at that time I could not comfortably be sure the coach was clean...I expected way better services based on what I spent for a suite. The only bright spot is the second housekeeping manager, Mariana was very nice. She understood my concern. Personally sprayed and cleaned the sofa and brought in a roll away bed for my daughter to sleep on. Red Rock management could and should do better.

Stayed at Red Rock 3 nights in December. Starting with the positive... check in and their Covid temperature check were very efficient. (They required a $100 per night deposit which we felt was steep). The hotel is conveniently located right down the street from Red Rock Canyon (which we love to visit). It's a beautiful property, and their Christmas decorations were lovely. The casino had plenty of slot variations and table games. There was a Starbucks very close to the guest room elevators, and meals at their Cafe and the Yard House were very good (they also had many other restaurant options). I worked part of my stay and wi-fi speed was decent. Our king, mountain view room was clean, with a lot of space. The issue with our stay was 2-fold. 1st, the bed literally felt like someone threw a mattress on a rock. Woke up sore every morning we were there. 2nd, the walls are paper thin. The people in the room next to us came in one night (with several friends) after 1130 at night, talking, laughing, banging doors and the windows. Security was fortunately called, and they broke up the party. Could also hear them chatting on the phone the next morning.
