The lobby is quite welcoming. They checked my temp as soon as we walked into the lobby, and walked us to the front desk. There is no smoke smell in the lobby, which is rare in Las Vegas. If you want to gamble, you need to walk to Mandalay Bay, which is about 10 minutes walk. Right now parking is free, so it took the sting out of resort fee.

They give you a bag with 2 masks, a metal door hook (so you don't touch door handles), and a tube of hand sanitizer. The room service staff delivered the food in packed boxes carried in a shopping bag. If you want a full, room service cart service, there is a minimum order of $100. Order the quesadilla. Amazing!

We have stayed in Vegas many times and go at least once a year. First time staying that far down the Strip and at the Delano. Room was very large with a great view. Really appreciated the space - the 2 separate toilets, the quiet and most importantly that the hotel didn’t smell like smoke or more commonly now, weed. Bed was very comfortable.

Downside to this property is the same I say for all M Life properties is the resort fee. At $44/night this resort fee is equivalent to paying for a Vegas room during low season. It’s just a masked fee and especially when the pool is closed that fee is a kick in the face that you get nothing for it. I mean nothing. We didn’t use the gym. When I’m in Vegas, walking 20kms a day is my gym and with no pool or even a bottle of water that is atrocious money.

The other downside is if mobility is an issue for you and you want to enjoy the strip that this hotel is quite far. We walked the strip back and forth so we enjoyed the steps but others may not. Also if you enjoyed yourself heavily (aka you are plastered) that is one big walk to your hotel when the tram from Excalibur to Mandalay has shut down for the night.

We went up to the Skylounge to see what it looked like. That would be a nice place for an evening to just relax but I’m sure drinks are pricey. We viewed the gym which was big and equipped. We did not see the pool as it was closed.

Food options were kind of limited when you wanted something fast and the food court by the shark exhibit is really far out. We ate Citizen and it was overpriced garbage. Wouldn’t eat there again.

If returning as a couple, we would stay at Delano again. If returning with elderly parents, we would have to stay somewhere more central for their mobility issues.

Our overall impressions of this property are very good! Clean room located at the end of the hallway so it was less noisy. It was a scenic suite on the 32nd floor with a great view of the Luxor. We found our stay to be comfortable, the room was very large with a second bathroom. We did the VIP Arrival package and found it to be good value. We were picked up at the baggage carousel a LAS, brought directly to Delano where someone was waiting at the curb with our keys and an envelope with our itinerary. She took us directly to the elevator so we didn't even have to go to the lobby or anything. We also had access to the VIP lounge during our stay which has bottle water (tiny bottles), juices, soda, coffee, and tea. One drink per visit only so don't think you can use the lounge for your water needs during your stay. Highly recommend ordering bottled water and having it delivered (Vons).

A few things that held me back from leaving a 5 star review: First, the water is so heavily chlorinated that if my wife was having a bath you could smell the chlorine in the entire suite. It smelled like a public pool. The smell lingered on her skin and our hair after showering. Unpleasant and probably not that good for a person. Second, on our last day somehow our room did not get cleaned. I arrived home after a 6 hour outing to find the green housekeeping light still on. Went out again after about an hour and returned home late in the evening and it still had not been done. Not sure what happened there and it's not a huge deal but did detract from our stay coming home to no fresh towels and an unmade bed. Third, our VIP Arrival package included transportation back to the airport and somehow there was a mixup and the driver thought he was picking us up FROM the airport so we waited about 30 minutes for our ride which was unnecessary and not the seamless departure that it should have been for $150. Lastly, our package was supposed to include a $100 resort credit that did not get applied to our bill and now I have to spend time calling and sorting that out.

Overall we really enjoyed this property, it was nice to get away from the casino floor and into the more serene vibe of Delano and we will consider this property again. Yes, it is a bit far being at the end of the strip but we enjoyed taking the various trams and monorails and exploring the strip. It's here or Bellagio next year.

P.S. We stayed here with my service dog and they kindly provided a medical fridge for his food that requires refrigeration. Also, there is a dog area outside the hotel that is astroturf and provides bags for your use. My dog had no issues with the astroturf and I appreciated the proximity to the hotel. It is across a street but only took about 3-5 minutes to walk to from our room on the 32nd floor. The elevators can slow you down.

We stayed at the Delano over the weekend for a event at the House of Blues. We thought the rooms were large , and the half bath was a nice touch . Beds were nice , and we didn't hear any noise in the rooms at night , nice. Very close to House of blues and a few places to eat. We tried the noodle house , Ri Ra Irish pub , both in Mandalay , both pretty good. I saw a few reviews saying the Delano wasn't as nice as the Wynn or Four Seasons. Well its not , but its also not as expensive. Apples to Apples . But , the $14 coffee and $12 waters are a joke , and whatever you do , don't touch anything in the mini bar or your buying. Other than that , we loved the place.

We checked into our room and noticed right away that the shower was dripping. Housekeeping had placed a towel under the drip on the shower floor that was soaked. We knew we couldn't sleep with the irritating noise from the drip so we asked to switch rooms. The next room had several more issues. The TV in the living room didn't work. The toilet in the main bathroom ran. The safe didn't close so I couldn't store my valuables which meant I had to be there when the maintenance person showed up. That put a great strain on the stay because I was given a two hour window when they would show up. Because we wanted to do other things besides wait in the room with no TV, it was at least 24 hours after we checked in that those issues were fixed. I was on hold each time I contacted guest services for about 15-30 min before someone answered the phone. I have never experienced that before at a hotel.

We were told we were being given a credit because of the hotel room issues but that credit wasn't applied on our checkout bill. We had to go down to the lobby and go over it with someone at the registration desk which took another 30 min. When I called guest services I was on hold for 30 min and then was disconnected so I had to go down and wait in line when I had a long trip ahead of me.

At the pool, the food was overpriced. My kids wanted something to eat and drink and the only thing open at that time in the morning was the bar. As soon as we walked up the bartender rudely yelled, “No kids at the bar!!” so they had to stand far back behind the railing and I had to let them know what the options were before ordering. I understand children should not be at a bar but they were not sitting down and a bar should not be the only option open for food at the pool when it is more of a family hotel. Also, $19 dollars is overpriced for some chicken strips and french fries. The smoothie was $11 for some fruit puree and mostly ice. That's not a smoothie! Also, we bought tubes for the lazy river at the store by the pool. We were told they were $20 each by the attendant but were charged $25 each on our hotel bill. The charge was corrected at checkout but only because I noticed it and brought it up. I now know why people brought their own food and tubes with them. At least that is an option but a headache. I've stayed at plenty of 4 and 5 star hotels around the world and the prices here were very high compared to the quality of food.

Hello,
I’m very upset an devastated by the way I was treated with my stay I was literally swindled out of my dreaming full stay I was expecting to have while booking through the mgm in advance I booked the panoramic suite weeks in advance had everything planned for my an my fiancé for our honeymoon trip. As arriving to check in we soon realized it was all but a scam, they told us that our room was booked up an that they put us in the deleno “two bed suite” that was actually two standard rooms conjoining made us believe we were actually getting an upgrade when in fact as arriving it was a downgrade knowing the only difference was the extra bed they provided. I’ve stayed at the Mandalay Bay panoramic suite in the past an fell in love with it actually me an my now fiancé stayed here 5 years ago for her birthday an were just blown away with views amenities and customer service to where we felt at home while being away from home that’s what gave us the confidence in returning an choosing the panoramic suite to be our honeymoon location and stay but those feelings and dreams were crushed upon arriving I couldn’t believe how this could’ve happened on a special memorable time in our life’s.

Now to the rooms they gave us,
Upon entering the conjoining rooms mind you the 2 mile hike from the Mandalay front desk to deleno we soon realized the actual reality of the situation we were thrown with. We entered the rooms an it was a harsh reality of the completely difference of the panoramic suite compared to two standard coining rooms. It’s an embarrassment I would’ve rather gotten a room at the Marriott if I wanted a standard room that resembles every other regular hotel in America on difference from deleno room to every other regular hotel room is that the deleno room has a shower filter and air humidifier. Not including the other conjoint room was an is a accessible witch non of us are, the cabinet under the sink in one room was broken literally with screws out I took pictures with I will email to Mgm The TVs didn’t work one of the sink ice buckets is just corroded with gunk of who knows what this just has been a completely Disaster and just an unreal nightmare I still can’t believe how something like this happen. Out of all the resorts here this one literally decide we should really start giving other one a try it’s just heartbreaking to have this happen on our honeymoon. This room is completely out of the way from the pool at the Mandalay Bay just feels like the class clown being thrown in the back of the class room out of site. Reason I’m reaching out is because this was unacceptable an to be brought to Mgm attention.

I usually stay at Mandalay Bay but decided to stay at Delano this time. Delano is the sister property which technically doesn’t have a casino but is attached to Mandalay Bay. Mobile check in was easy breezy. Each room is a suite so it has a large living room area with a desk, bar area and 1/2 bathroom. During covid, they have a seal on the door, provide masks and hand sanitizer so nice touch to show safety precautions.

The bedroom is separate with a huge full size bathroom with a tub and shower. Bathroom even has a TV. Bed is comfortable and lots of outlets throughout the room to charge all your electronics. No complaints about the room itself however they had some issues with the plumbing resulting in very loud noises coming from the piping. I called to report the issue they said they were going to send up an engineer while we were out but no one ever came or they did not address the issue. No apology, no offer to switch rooms. It kept us up all the night even with the bathroom door closed.

Usually you have to pay for parking at the MLife casinos but due to covid parking is free right now as a way to attract people back. Overall the stay could have been better.

Rooms, all-suite hotel, colors are all whites and very lights fabrics, nice space with good size bathroom.

At check in, temperature was taken and social spacing was requested.

Elevators are slow and with current restriction, had to wait about 10 minute at one point.

Room was missing a number of items upon arriving, examples: one wine glass, though two wine glass mats. No shampoo / soap in the bathroom, one bath robe, not two…. was like the staff were rushed and no check was carried out before making ready for guests.

Front Desk Staff. Unfortunately, most of these people had inconsistencies when asked about credits and other items. Booking through American Express, you receive breakfast credit and food credit. Where you could utilize these credits changed depending who you ask, with discrepancies including being told to use only room service or a location which the front desk staff didn’t even know was closed ( though only 50 feed from the front desk) One staff member said we could use any of the MGM dining locations on the strip. All in all we asked 5 different staff at the front desk, none had the same story.

Being Covid times, many resort locations are closed, or close early, though they still charge the wonderful resort charge. With many of the locations closed, suggest you contract venue before booking, to ensure you know what to expect.

Parking is currently free, though from what I see is normally charged at this property. Hired a car from Hertz at about $13 a day. Cheaper than an Uber to hotel. Great to be able to drive to location off the Strip.

Hotel is far end of strip close to the Las Vegas sign, so a good walk if you are looking to get to the heart of the strip.

Beware additional automatic charge to your room when you move the coffee cup, water bottle or rearrange inside refrigerator to store your personal stuff. these items hook-up to the sensor on the tray and automatic charge to your room from $15.00 to $50.00. NO complimentary coffee to the guest. you have to pay for it. LOL.

where I love the Delono resort, the mini bar prices why too high, even the coffee maker isn't free, what I do for each trip is bring my own coffee maker very small one from Amazon about 15.00 and coffee, but I used to go to Walmart on tropicana and buy there cheep 5 cup coffee maker for about $12.00 and just leave it behind for housekeeper, very few Vegas hotels still have free in room coffe anymore
