Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, garners appreciation for its diverse amenities and the modern vibe of its rooms, although some guests point out additional fees and design quirks. Its location strikes a chord with guests who favor being near the Strip while enjoying a more subdued environment, even though a handful have expressed dissatisfaction. While the hotel's commendable service and cleanliness receive accolades, opinions on value and noise levels vary, with some citing pricey food and disturbances.

We felt comfortable in the hotel, the rooms are nicely decorated, very clean and on the beds you "float" as they are so soft and comfortable. Nice bathroom. We had breakfast in the restaurant and that was just so good, but not quite favorable for a family, I think there should be discounted offers there for hotel guests. There are 2 pools for hotel guests, but unfortunately so shallow that swimming is unthinkable, just splashing. Did I wonder that 2 lifeguards still had to sit there. For the nicer pool right next to the hotel you have to pay 75$ daily fee, even if there is food there, not cheap.

We stayed for 8 nights, in the Canyon Tower on floor 10 in a x2 queen beds room with strip views.

The room was a nice size, modern, bright with good views and a door that opens slightly to allow a breeze (in the cooler months). However, despite the nice decor the room was not that clean unfortunately. We found rubbish from previous guest around the edge of both beds, a lot of dust, bed sheets were ripped, grime around the shower door/base along with a very bad smell from the drains the entire stay. The room was cleaned daily, however they did miss rubbish on each clean.

Our toilet did back up on one occasion and flooded the floor, maintenance quickly attended to resolve the issue but no offer of an additional clean dispute toilet water all over the floor / having to use towels to soak it up.

Overall, the hotel is kept well, nicely decorated and compared to most hotels in vegas, minimum smell of smoke around the premises. The casino is a lot quieter than most on the strip, however we actually enjoyed this aspect and it has a much more chilled vibe and people seem more laid back.

The food options were okay but not great, couple of very overpriced restaurant’s, a 24 hour kitchen, again pricy and the food isn’t all that great, Dunkin’ donuts and a small pizza place. The pizza place was our preferred, not only due to price but the food was actually really good!

Pool areas are nice, was disappointed that the beach pool only opens on weekends, the rest of the week your either in the party pool or crammed into the shallow kids pool.
We did have an incident around the beach pool on our first day. As we were leaving, we went to quickly use the pool side restroom only to have a man thrust of private parts (on full display) as us and ask if we were gay. We ignored him and quickly left, opting to only use the toilet in our room for the rest of our stay.

The walk to the strip takes around 15-20mins, during the summer it’s is a painful walk due to the road crossing and waiting at lights in the boiling heat. We didn’t have any issues on our walks but there was a lot of drug use / homeless along the road. An Uber was roughly $15 if you do not want to do the walk. I’m surprised a free shuttle between the hotel and strip isn’t offered as this would also attract more visitors.

Overall, I personally preferred the Virgin Hotel to most on the strip. It’s much more modern than most, you can escape the madness of the strip and relax a little due to the laid back feel. Although I feel improvements could be made, I would stay here again.

Thank you for the detailed review of your recent visit. It pleases us that our cozy room atmosphere, tranquil casino, and excellent amenities added to your stay. However, your feedback regarding the room's cleanliness, thoroughness of housekeeping, and some of our amenities are less pleasing to hear of. We greatly appreciate your recommendations, and our team will use them to help us relate our improvements directly to our guest's needs. Also, we apologize for your experience with the man in the pool area, and we'd like to hear more about the situation so we can handle it appropriately. It's great to hear from you, and we can't wait to welcome you back for a more seamless experience.

I stayed at this hotel during spring break. When I searched for hotels, this one came up as a low cost option. My needs were free parking, free WIFI and a safe rating as I am a solo traveler. The hotel delivered on everything they promised with only a few minor hiccups.

Overall the room was very clean. There was a chair that had questionable stains on it, so I chose not to use it. When I entered the room, it was bright and airy. The colors in the room were vibrant.

Technology included a wireless phone charger, large flat screen TV and lights that could be controlled via several different switches throughout the room. No need for a Do Not Disturb sign because there is a light switch that you can press that shows the request on the outside.

Once in the room, the bathroom had a door and the vanity was large and well lit. The shower was large and had two different shower heads that you could use. They also provided shampoo/conditioner and body wash. I used the body wash and it smelled nice. The regular soap and body lotion was a nice touch too.

There was an additional door that separated you from the small foyer and bedroom. I thought this was a good safety feature. I also used the iron and ironing board and they both worked fine.

I had no problems with accessing the elevators and they were very quick. Quick note, you must use your room key to activate the elevator, so go ahead and keep it out or you will be stuck in there, LOL!

The pool was not open, however, I found two baby ducks and alerted the staff. There was no mom or dad around, but the staff said they would handle it. I hope they did.

The casino was just large enough for someone who really doesn't gamble. The staff was nice, except for one valet person that I dealt with twice during my stay. He was rude and asked me questions that no one else did. Almost as if he doubted I was a guest at the hotel. Other than that, the price and the amenities will definitely lure me to stay here again.

Even though the hotel is slightly off the Strip it is an excellent location for multiple bars, restaurants and 24-hour entertainment with the CVS that is also open 24 hours right across the road. I was lucky enough to have oscar, the front desk personnel check me in who is absolutely amazing with his customer service, responsiveness to my needs, and gave me an excellent upgrade as a diamond member. I would like management to specifically recognize him as having amazing customer service personnel and encourage him to be a trainer for the future staff of the front desk. I would also like to thank Jeff the waiter at the hotel restaurant inside for his excellent Service. Due to these employees, I will only stay at this hotel while in Vegas as a gambler and diamond member. Anthony at the pool is also an amazing staff member who was attentive to our needs.

I have stayed here a single time before this stay, but it was a quick work trip on my own. I enjoyed the resort, but not like I wanted to. That is why when I needed to book a group stay in Las Vegas, I chose this hotel.

This is currently my favorite hotel in Las Vegas. It's not the typical Vegas experience where the focus is on the casino, but more the resort itself and the vibes. Every aspect of the design is appealing and doesn't make you feel like you're in Vegas, which I greatly appreciate. It also doesn't smell of cigarette smoke, so I feel like that helps a lot. It also isn't a venue where I feel like I can get lost. Yes, it's large, but it's not overwhelming like some other hotels can be in this area.

Aside from the beautiful finishings, the hotel staff really went above and beyond from what I normally experience with Vegas teams. Each person made me feel seen and that my needs were important from not being able to figure out the hot tub to needing some more towels. I think that is what really did it for me during this three night stay. That is also what will make sure I come back.

Food at the hotel was great. The juice bar is such a small thing that really makes a difference when you're looking for something more than just caffeine to get you through to happy hour. The gym is quite nice for a hotel gym. The parking was free and the valet team was efficient. The front desk always had an answer for me that was communicated with kindness and care. Even the dealers in the casino were joyful and kind! (Probably cause my husband and I had zero luck this time...)

If you're not trying to indulge in the on-site food and drink options (which can be a little pricey), the hotel is across the street from a liquor store and some great food options! We had breakfast burritos from a place my husband walked to one morning and the tortillas were definitely made in-house. So if you want to save some money during your stay, there are definitely options.

I need to take a moment to shout out to Rashan. He really went out of his way to make me feel special and help ensure my entire party had a great time. Without him, I don't think we would have had half of the amazing time we did. SO THANK YOU, RASHAN!!

If you're looking for a beautiful hotel with great on-site services, stay here!!

My ONLY negative to this resort is since the location is a little off the strip, taxis don't regularly stop by. So be prepared to either ask the front desk for a car or call a ride share service when you're looking to leave.

We are half way through a 6 night stay at Virgin Las Vegas and are extremely impressed.

We’ve been to Vegas several times previously and decided to try the Virgin resort, a little away from the strip. On the first evening check in was smooth and speedy. We went to our room, a double Queen Suite with Strip View at Ruby Tower. We were immediately impressed.
As you enter, there is a dressing area with large vanity mirror and two wardrobes. This leads to a lounge area with a four seater settee, two comfortable chairs and a couple of tables. This area also contains the fridge - which we did not take any items from. Next to the fridge is a shelved area where we stored nibbles and drinks purchased from the CVS store opposite to the hotel (this store is very reasonably priced and has pretty much anything u would need and is a 5 minute walk from the resort). On the wall is a flat screen tv.
The next room is a bedroom with two queen beds, both very comfortable. This room contains another wall mounted tv and a wall unit. The bathroom is spacious with double sink, very large shower and large bath.
The view from the main window of the Strip is impressive.
The hotel itself is pretty quiet midweek but busier over the weekend. The pool is very relaxing with music played throughout the day - we had no problems getting three sun loungers together.
The restaurants are excellent.
The gym is excellent and even boasts a Peloton bike allowing you to log onto your account at home.
The resort is a little distance from the Strip however we used UBER several times and it was $9 for the journey. I’d highly recommend downloading the Uber app - much cheaper and much cleaner than the local taxis.
Overall we are very impressed and will come again.

3 of us stayed at the Virgin for 4 nights whilst in Vegas celebrating a 40th birthday. We stayed in a double Queen room with a fabulous view of the pool area and the Strip. I was initially worried about the hotels off strip location but I need not have been. We didn’t attempt the walk as it was 40 degrees plus every day but there were plentiful taxi’s available outside the hotel everyday and uber was also always available. We never waited more than a few mins for a taxi and it took us to the strip in no more than 5 mins.

The hotel is beautiful and still has that ‘new’ feel. The rooms which they call chambers, are lovely and spacious, with a modern, cool design. There is a separate wardrobe and dressing room area that separates the bedroom and dressing room with a door, allowing privacy for a group sharing. Unlike hotels on the strip, there are no long queues for check in and the casino isn’t crowded and busy so you can relax and enjoy yourselves on the machines and roulette tables. The hotel has a number of restaurants, including a Nobu which we ate at and was delicious. We also ate at the mexican restaurant and at the Kitchen which is a 24 hour restaurant so you can always get a meal whenever you’re feeling hungry.

There are about 4 different pools with plenty of cabanas, loungers and relaxing space available, it was never really overcrowded and you could always find a lounger or cabana to sit at, a major plus in comparison to the crowed pool areas at the strip hotels.

The only slight grumble we had was about the aircon. It’s on a timer and comes on automatically even if you try to switch it off. When it’s coming on all night it could get really cold and it was frustrating that you couldn’t do anything about it. Also, like most fridges/minibars in Vegas, all the drinks and snacks are censored. If you even touch them accidentally, you will be charged. However we were warned about this at check in so we knew to stay well clear. Annoyingly it means you can’t bring your own drinks to put in the fridge as it’s full and if you take anything out you will be charged. If you want to use the fridge for your own water or drinks, they will empty it for you, but it will cost you $40! But that’s Vegas for you!

I have previously been to Vegas and stayed on the strip but now that I have stayed off strip at Virgin, I would definitely stay here over the strip if I ever return. All in all a fan hotel.

Although the reception area was busy and noisy when we arrived out first impression of the room was very positive. It was very quiet and spacious, with a door seperating the lobby area and bathroom. We were aware that the hotel was well off the strip when we booked, so no complaints on that score.

However, there are no coffee making facilities in the room and with the room service staff on strike for the last two months you have to get dressed to get a morning coffee, not really what you want after a late night (this is Vegas). This is made much worse as the hotel doesn't have a coffee shop so you have to go across the road to the Dunkin Donuts. Not what you'd expect for a hotel of this supposed standard.

The worst part of our experience was housekeeping. Stayed 5 nights but the room was only serviced twice. It appears putting the "service room" light on has no effect, I even tried asking the housekeepers who happened to be in the corridor to make-up the room as we were going out one day, but still found it not done when we returned.

The irony was on the day we were leaving we had arranged a late checkout for 4:00 pm and lit the "do not disturb" sign but on 4 occassions from 9:00 am onwards the housekeepers decided to walk into the room. Not there when you want them, but really keen to see the back of you apparently.

Overall not a credit to the Virgin brand.

Our apologies if this was not made clear. We also apologies for the cleanliness concerns, and rest assured, we will also follow up to determine what caused the delay with housekeeping service and how we can prevent it in the future. This hotel is currently under a labor dispute, a fact that was not disclosed when I booked a suite for a trip celebrating my son's 16th birthday. As a proud union member, I find it repulsive to cross a picket line. I found out about the strike through social media. I immediately contacted Hilton to ask to be moved to a comparable property. While Hilton was willing to give me a reduced rate at a similar resort, the actual hotel would not return the cost of my prepaid first night. So in essence I would have to pay for 3 nights instead of 2 because they lied to me. The actual experience at the hotel was very disappointing as well. The room was not cleaned before we checked in. Hair and some sticky substance were in the tub and trash was left on the floor. They agreed to re-service the room. Then, on the second night my son wanted to use the soaking tub, the water was blue. At first, I re-ran the water to ensure it wasn't some leftover cleaning product, but it was very obvious that it wasn't. They sent a tech who claimed to have never seen the problem before and had no solution. The internet leads me to believe that it is excess copper in corroding pipes. We had the poor fortune to try the Chinese restaurant as well. The staff was very nice, but the food was not edible. The chicken in the Kung Pao was hard and dry. The orange chicken was only barely edible, the ratio of batter to actual chicken was excessive, but after the King Pao, I really didn't want to taste the chicken. I am sure the culinary workers who were on the picket line could have done a better job with these basic dishes. Every staff member we encountered was polite and professional. They all made an effort to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.

Probably one of my worst hotel experiences. The tv didn't work, towels were old and definitely needed replacing, the hotel had an old vibe to it especially the look of the hallways, bed was decent but pillows were small and uncomfortable, and the worst was the low flow shower head. To elaborate on the shower head, there was only the hand held and not a main head. The hand held was positioned in the top corner of the tub and at its highest position, the water barely reached my shoulders and I'm hugging the corner of the tub.

The other major issue I had wasn't with the hotel but in the morning about every 30 seconds or so you can hear airplanes and I was seriously considering forfeiting the money and getting another hotel.

The hotel staff when I did need help was helpful. Brought me some extra towels and blankets.

The strike did throw me off. I can't say the strike would prevent me from staying here in the future if I actually had a better experience because it was very annoying that the striking workers would berate and even cuss had customers when entering and leaving the hotel. I get you have an issue with the hotel but in the long run the customers are the only reason they're employed in the first place. I bet majority of the customers, myself included, didn't even know there was a strike until we got to the hotel. The three days I was there, the music didn't bother me but don't yell and cuss at my family when we're driving in and out. I sided with the hotel for all three days when I was there because of that.
