The Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas stands as a beacon of elegance on the Strip, with guests lauding its luxurious atmosphere and prime location. The rooms are celebrated for their comfort and panoramic views, yet some visitors have experienced issues with cleanliness.
While the hotel’s serene ambiance and spotless environment receive high marks, opinions on value and service show a divide, with some guests feeling let down by high fees and inconsistent service quality. I spent two nights at this hotel. Everything was fantastic. No issues. As a Hilton Diamond member, I received a free upgrade to a strip view room. However, since I checked in early at around 1 pm, there were no strip view rooms available. I opted instead to immediately check into a basic suite I had reserved which still had a strip view going South!
The room was modern and clean with push button controls for the lights, drapes and do not disturb sign. The tiled bathroom was beautiful and massive with a soaking tub, walk in shower and separate toilet room. There was also a separate wardrobe/changing area. The bedroom was also very nice with desk area, settee and floor to ceiling windows. The bed was comfortable. The fitness center is nice with plenty of modern treadmills.
I purchased a spa pass and enjoyed that experience. There are plenty of lockers which line the floor to ceiling windows overlooking the strip which have tinting on the outside (which I confirmed)! The steam room, sauna, hydrotherapy pool, heated tile loungers and relaxation room were great.
I had breakfast one morning in the Zen Kitchen which was OK. I had the breakfast burrito and a side of breakfast potatoes. The reception staff were very friendly. I used the hotel's free limousine service to go to the Wynn Resort. I was honestly surprised it was available. I would have thought it would be in high demand. The chauffeur was friendly and professional. I did not use the outdoor pool. So, I won't comment on that. Note: The refrigerator in the room is stuffed full of overpriced alcoholic drinks, which is a common practice in Las Vegas. So there is no room to store your water or any take out food, which is just as well since the room has no microwave either. Hint: If you like staying at non-casino hotels on the strip like me and want an empty refrigerator and microwave in your room, then I recommend any of the HGV resorts including the Elara which is across the street.
The hotel is modern and clean throughout. The location right on the strip is great and it is not filled with or smells like cigarette since it has no attached casino. I highly recommend this hotel.

Quiet oasis near everything! I would definitely stay here again. Room was very clean and large. Beds were very comfy. I liked that the closets/changing area were separate from bedroom area so not waking anyone up if need to iron and get dressed before anyone else. Bathroom is huge. Double vanity, separate room for toilet, good water pressure in shower. Turn down service at night was a nice extra touch. Definitely recommend paying for the pretty “city view” to get Paris Eiffel Tower view. I liked that the hotel didn’t have a casino because it was a quiet retreat to escape to when done with the hustle and bustle of strip. Great location, CVS right downstairs, short walk to Aria, Park MGM. Service was excellent throughout hotel. The only inconvenience is that they are remodeling the main floor lobby, so right now you need take the elevator to 3rd floor, walk down a hallway and then take another elevator to the current 23rd floor lobby. They said should be done next month, not a deal breaker to me as the positives far outweigh this temporary issue. Highly recommend!

This was a great stay all the way around that easily exceeded my expectations. The room was large, elegant, and very comfortable, and the hotel's public areas exude understated luxury. I used points for the stay (which required me to book the lowest category of room--a city view double), but was pleasantly surprised that, despite it being a very busy weekend, I was upgraded to a strip view room on a high floor. It's nice to see some meaningful acknowledgement of Diamond status from a domestic Hilton property! More impressively, I had let them know that we were celebrating my son's 21st birthday, and they had a bottle of chilled champagne and a delicious chocolate mousse cake waiting for us in the room at check-in. In addition, there was a complimentary bottle of cabernet on the side table as a gift from housekeeping. Very generous! Finally, not only did housekeeping service the room every day--increasingly a rarity at U.S. hotels--but they went above and beyond to refresh the ice in the ice bucket as we had not yet had the champagne. That, in my view, is a truly above-and-beyond touch.
Bottom line--this is a great hotel with a fantastic location right in the middle of the strip. It is one of the more elegant choices for a stay in Vegas, and it delivers on its promise of a high-end experience. While it has no casino--actually a plus in many ways--it is adjacent to both the Aria and the Park MGM, so anything you want to do in terms of shows, restaurants, gaming, etc. is readily available without need for a car or taxi/Uber. It can be pricey (though, like everywhere in Vegas, rates very wildly depending on the calendar), but is a fantastic use of Hilton points.

For the most part I've stopped writing reviews on this site, but seeing the last few reviews for this hotel, I feel like they got it spot on. First the good - nice lobby, no smoke, rooms are nicely furnished, pool area is a calm oasis from the strip, but the hotel is on the strip and very close to a lot of activities and casinos. It feels high end. The Hotel Bar on the 23rd floor has a great view and wonderful employees, and you can use your $50/day credit if you're a Gold or Diamond member there, which is a nice plus. However, I'd have to agree that the front desk staff are not trained to be working at a luxury hotel, and do seem cold and indifferent. The concierge who writes to you in advance (I'm sure it's an automatic email) seems not to actually care unless you'd like to spend more money. We were celebrating a special occasion (wife's 40th birthday) and I called the hotel and let the Concierge know, and it was not acknowledged once over the 5 days we were there. In addition we needed a fridge, and they promised us it would be set up when we arrived, and it was not (also something I emailed and called about). They put an extra $150 charge on our room, good thing I always ask for a folio a few hours before checkout or I would have risked being late to the airport for our flight. The toilet paper is terrible quality, like really, really terrible. The maid service and nighttime turndown service only showed up about 50% of the time, even with complaining about it. I could go on. If this was a lesser quality hotel it would be expected, but for a high end luxury 5 star hotel, it's not ok. I did write to the hotel/Hilton and someone gave me some points back which was nice, but it's been 5 days and I have yet to receive any response about our issues and doubt I ever will. I think for future Vegas trips I'll look elsewhere, for 80,000 Hilton points a night or $700+, I expect more.

We sincerely apologize for any disappointment experienced with your stay, especially in light of the expectations set by your loyalty status. We were promised a “flawless experience from beginning to end” but our 2 night stay fell short. As a Diamond member for over 5 years, we are used to the small touches that Hilton offers during our stay(s). We waited in line to check in for over 30 minutes because there was only one person at the front desk. No separate line offered for Hilton Honors. Not a ‘thank you’ for being a Diamond member. No note or special welcome waiting for us in the room.
The hotel was far from booked to capacity yet they wanted to charge us $200/night for a small upgrade. The room smelled musty and felt worn down. We requested room service and they didn’t come our entire stay. We felt rushed the day of checkout. Our late checkout request was denied and (despite not coming the duration of our stay) housekeeping was at our door at 10:47am (11am checkout).
The pool staff didn’t bother to set our towels out on the chairs both days we went to the pool and stood by and watched us grab our towels and set up on our own. We needed to then ask them to give us a pin to put up the umbrella (many times they were no where to be found).
With so many wonderful options here in Vegas, I would recommend passing on this subpar, “5-star” hotel.

The Waldorf-Las Vegas is in an excellent location at the south end of the strip. It is close to many casinos and also the Allegiance stadium. It is a smoke-free and casino-free hotel, which adds to the high standards that this hotel maintains.
My room was on the 12th floor and it was a one-bedroom suite at the corner of the southern end. It had excellent views of the strip and the room was well configured with separate spaces and a large bathroom area. It is a very quiet hotel and provides a sanctuary from the ever-busy Las Vegas strip.
The hotel services were excellent. The pool area is very relaxing and they provide service poolside. The staff were very accommodating potentially the only downside is their preference to try and upsell on check-in.
A very good overall hotel and experience and one that I recommend as a point of difference in the high level of service and ambience on the strip.

I’m very pleased and impressed by this property. The location is super. It’s spotlessly clean and the service is spot on. Calls for ice, coffee pods, towels, etc were dealt with promptly and with a smile. I’m a Hilton Diamond Member as well as an Amex Platinum card holder, which meant an upgrade to a terrific one bedroom suite and a bunch of food, drink and experience credits. Our suite was cool in the triple digit heat and the bed was a dream. I asked to change the feather pillows to foam upon arrival and it was done right away. I thought that the breakfast was delicious. The room service menu was limited and had to be accessed electronically, but I just accept that unpleasant stuff in the post pandemic world. You’re lucky to encounter room service at all these days. Lastly, the pool area is just fantastic. Lots of umbrellas and shade if you want it. Helpful attendants. I can happily recommend this beautiful hotel.

The Las Vegas Waldorf Astoria is an absolutely beautiful, peaceful and first class property in the middle of the strip. The is a 5++++ Star hotel, smoke free, casino free and peacerespite from the craziness of the LV Strip. The staff are kind, helpful and professional, always ready to assist with a smile. The rooms are spacioous, beautiful and the bathroom is stunning. We had a city view room that gave us a "peek" of the strip on the 12th floor and it was great. The heated pool, jacuzzi and gym are top notch. Everything is spotless and well maintained. The Waldorf Astoria does not dissapoint. It is the small things that matter and I love the beautiful L'Occitane shaving set in each room, bath salts, along with the fresh fruit infused water and cool towels in the gym. When I forgot my toothbrush they provided a complimentary one without having to leave the property and buy one. The bar on the 28th floor is a relaxed and romantic little spot with amazing views. This hotel is located close to the Cosmopolitan, VDARA, planet Hollywood and lots of shopping and restaurants. Do not hesitate to book here, it will exceed all of your expectations.

We planned to spend my husband's birthday at Las Vegas. So I booked a strip view king room at Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas and requested a 33 series strip view king room through email. Note: not a upgrade request. Request was confirmed as when my husband pre-check in, the APP gave him a 33 series room. When we checked in at 4pm on his birthday, the front desk told us that the previous guest just checked out and it will take a maximum of 2 hours to have the room cleaned and we would receive a text and the digital key will work. So we went to the pool cafe to have some food and wait. Two hours went by, nothing happened. My husband called the hotel from the pool. Only to be told that the room is not ready and will be ready by 6:30pm. I then requested another room since I don't want to miss our dinner plan, especially it is my husband's birthday. Was told all room was pre-assigned and pre-checked in. Nothing is available to us. Again, 6:30 came, nothing happened. We decided to go back to talk to the front desk since calling the hotel to speak to the agent or text the customer service won't get our room ready. When we went back to talk to the front desk. This time, we were told the 33 series room that we checked in is still not ready and will give us another room and a $50 resort credit. We accepted it since at this point, we just want to refresh ourself and celebrate my husbands birthday. We've been coming to this hotel since it was Mandarin Oriental. We understand the difference between a Mandarin Oriental and a Waldorf Astoria. But we didn't know we should set our expectation so low when staying in here now especially the daily rate is well over $500 for a room. I guess l will have to adjust my expectations even lower from now on or never come back.

During our last visit to Las Vegas years ago, we visited this property for the onsite restaurant and LOVED that there was no gaming and no smoking. We vowed to return to stay on our next visit to Vegas. And, we did. Our three night stay was perfect. The front desk staff was very kind upon checkin and our room overlooked the strip. Of all the hotel stays around the world, I've never experienced a Valet Closet and am now going to judge all future properties on this amenity. The toiletries (Aesop) were yummy and the bed was super comfy. We had some dusty boots after a horseback trail ride and stuck them in the valet closet to be cleaned. They were returned looking gorgeous. This will be our go to property for any future Vegas stays.

We went up to the spa randomly one morning to check it out. I was exhausted from several nights on the town. They allowed us to go up and pay and use the facilities without a reservation. For spa services you do need an appointment. We used our Amex card that offers benefits with Hilton. Hilton owns the Waldorf. We received free wifi and a room credit. We did not receive an upgrade I think the hotel was packed although it did not seem that way there were several large events going on (U2, the rodeo and UFC). You can request the upgrade ahead of time. Also they are liberal with the late checkout.
I wondered the same thing but booked anyway since usually the 'guest limits' are accurate - but there was no sofa bed (I tried sleeping on the chaise lounge one night which was not comfortable and then we had 3 of us packed into the king the other night; with an older child the space is a bit tight and they should perhaps note it).
There are more places to choose from in the Las Vegas area.
