We were a small group there for a senior softball tournament. Christine and Mathew gave us special attention before and during our stay, including allowing one room for late check out. I would stay here again and recommend to friends as well.
The Hotel is across from Carson Tahoe Hospital, with my mother in the hospital, I had an 8 day stay. Caitlin was a jewel at the front desk. The king room is large with desk, window, comfy bed, pillows and linens, lounge sofa, microwave, refrigerator and large bathroom. There are washer and dryers for guests and they sell laundry soap, a snack area to purchase drinks and food. There is an indoor pool and jacuzzi, and desk area in the lobby with computers and printers. There is plenty of parking and they allow pets. I usually stay at the Hilton, but wanted to be close to my mom's hospital, they made my stay nice with no worries. The facility is very clean.
The hotel and amenities were on par with what I expected from a Holiday Inn Express. The parking lot was pretty well lit and common areas were clean. In my room, however, I was surprised to find a used k-cup in the coffee maker. There was a clump of hair on the bathroom counter, some mildew in the tub/shower, and it was clear from the built-up soap residue that the shower hadn't been cleaned well in a while. The kicker, though, was the used, rolled-up bandage that I found just underneath the chair in my room. Disappointed in finding this at a Holiday Inn. Felt taken advantage of experiencing this at the price I paid for the room. Stayed someplace else my second night in Carson City. Paid a bit more. It was money very well spent.
We Myself and another guest) waited for someone to come to the counter for 20 minutes after that it went quickly. We got room 305 the shower head was horrible, one floor tile was cracked and wobbled as did the threshold. We went down for breakfast 45 minutes before it was over, but it was over! The food ran out and they were not replenishing it so coffee and an English muffin it was. Nope wouldn't do that again.
The room was acceptable, but the next day when it was time for breakfast , what a disappointment eggs made with power eggs stale and stiff sausages and everything else continental breakfast. What a discrepancy between the room and the breakfast
I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the hotel was. The staff was helpful and friendly. The beds and pillows were exceptionally comfort. The room and bathrooms were cleaned. I would recommend this hotel. It was convenient to all local stores and restaurants.
During our trip in April we stayed at many Holiday Inn Expresses. We find them to be nicely appointed with no surprises. Due to the pandemic there was no housekeeping during our stay but we could request fresh towels and coffee and tea supplies. Breakfast was according to COVID protocols so was not the usual pick out your own stuff. We took our breakfast choices back to the room.
Employees at this Hotel do not follow Covid policies. Only a few employees wearing masks. Room had an odd odor. Drains in bathroom drained very slow. Towel rack in bathroom was falling off the wall. The good points about Hotel are the beds are very comfortable and the rooms are quiet. Wish they would take care of the Hotel and it would be 5 stars.
Stayed at hotel for 5 nights during wintertime in January. Hotel appeared to take Covid issue seriously with employee masking, cleaning and sanitizers in public areas, served complimentary breakfast using Covid protocol procedures and stayed out of room during our stay while providing all coffee supplies and clean towels we requested. Only disappointments during the stay was a noisy family occupying several rooms across the hall from us and some noise in our room heard will guest in room above took a shower and left early during one of our nights there. Complimentary food was limited (only served one hot breakfast with omelet and sausages one of the five days we were there) but what options there were every day (bakery items, juice, yogurt and cereals) were good. Until Covid is over would consider this a good and seemingly safe place to stay.…
The room was clean. The bathroom experience was horrible. There was an air vent between our bathroom and the bathroom next door, and you could hear EVERYTHING that went on in our neighbor’s bathroom, and almost everything that happened in their room. I suspect that if I had looked through the vent I could have seen into their bathroom. The girl who served the breakfast made it clear she didn't want to be there and couldn’t have possibly been less friendly, but the person who checked us in couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. The grounds were well kept except for the east entrance where the people with dogs were. The lawn was completely dead, and dog poop was everywhere. I wouldn’t stay here again.
