Just returned from 13 nights camping and throughly enjoyed my stay. Nice relaxed camp ground, great for kids and all the amenities you need. Marina and bar in walking distant is definitely a positive. Roll on Jan 2023 when we will return again 👍

We have just stayed 10 days with Hayley and Nick and had a fantastic time. Really easy to deal with and couldn’t have been more helpful as we had an extra staying with us. So clean and tidy with fantastic amenities highly recommend. Was the best holiday thanks for everything.

I rate my experience 1 at of 5 simple for the reason me and my family got refused entry to stay at this camp ground my father got rung up on the 26th of December asking if we were still coming up for the next day the 27th of December for 2 weeks the woman owner who has recently taking over the business around 6 years or so ago said in the phone call to my father is there only 4 people coming and we said 6 we have always for a few years had 6 and she would not allowed it even tho we knew that there was not any limit on numbers on a camp site up to 8 the owner was getting very mad and causing a lot of arguments so we arranged 2 people to stay else were and that was all good and then we were very unfortunate to break down 3 seperate times on the way up here from Christchurch and on the third break down we didn’t have enough time to make it to the campsite so we rung up at 8 pm and said we ain’t going get there tonight be there tomorrow and she kept arguing at us and then said for no reason that we weren’t allowed to stay at all even tho we have been going for 17 years and booked a year before and confirmed our booking a month before the cut of date this is absolutely appalling behaviour and I would say this is very discriminative considering we have several friends staying there and they don’t get treated like and have they don’t have the numbers restriction so this is very appalling 100% recommended you do NOT stay here

We stayed here for 2 nights as a part of our Northern South Island trip. We were very warmly welcomed (loved the dog sign at reception) and appreciated the scan in and mask requirement. As its not too busy we had a great choice of sites. The camp site backs on to bushland and the bird song was amazing. Everything was clean, peaceful and well taken care of. The Waikawa marina is a short walk for coffee, dinner or an evening drink. We loved Picton and this was a perfect base to enjoy it.
