Detailed Reviews
We stayed here for 1 night before getting the ferry to Wellington. We arrived very late but much to our relief the check in was still open (despite usually being closed 3 hours earlier), they were so accommodating. Very close to the ferry terminal and centre of town, on a gorgeous little bay. We had been camping around New Zealand but got a chalet for the night - it was fabulous to relax in. Lovely little sitting room and couch, well equipped kitchen, literally all you needed included (even shampoo and shower gel) and a very comfortable bed. We were so relaxed on leaving. Felt right at home. We had a lovely view of the bay and hills. Swimming pool is on the smaller side - but great for kids and considering how little the place costs, it’s amazing it has a pool. This ticks all the boxes! I loved all the funny art work around, definitely a must stay in Picton.

We often stay at this holiday park with our kids, not only because of its proximity to the lovely Waikawa Bay (for fishing and swimming) but also because the hosts are always very friendly and helpful. The facilities are kept clean and tidy and the pool is great on a hot day. The only negative is that there is not a lot of space as the driveway is a bit narrow and the cabins are quite close together. But we love it and will be back again soon.

We stayed in Picton for two nights in a kitchen cabin. The place is beautiful! Their website and online photos don't do it justice.
We were surprised by how quiet the place was despite the number of families/visitors staying there. Toilets and showers were clean and easy to access. The kitchen was clean though the electric stove was a bit slow to heat up.
I certainly would stay again!

We have stayed at the Waikawa bay camp 3 times now, first for a week in an ensuite cabin a couple of years ago and last year and this year in a tourist flat.
We have really enjoyed every day of every stay we have had here and will be back again next year.
The camp is very clean and tidy. It is in a quiet location close to both the Picton and Waikawa boat ramps. The Marlborough sounds is a beautiful place to visit.
The Cabins have comfortable beds and good shower pressure. Our hosts have always been friendly and accommodating in every way including a space to park our boat.
We would recommend it to anyone.

Excellent accommodation options. We have used both cabins, and powered sites with tents and caravans over the past 10+ years and the service and amenities are amazing.
Beautiful surroundings, clean and tidy, friendly, accommodating hosts, a swimming pool, playground, herb garden, fully stocked kitchen and close to the boat ramp and marina, you couldn’t ask for more.

Im in a motor home with a boat. The facilities here were simply outstanding and very close to a great launch ramp. Drive in and drive out …. no backing. Boat wash and fish cleaning area. Outstanding "awake" owners who are there to make your stay as good as it can be. Very friendly atmosphere. I will be back !

We just wanted a place to lay our heads after getting off the Picton Ferry. We booked a room with ensuite, and it was perfect! So Cosy, Warm and Clean. The hosts were lovely, great communication and we were greeted by a big ginger cat too. We didnt use any facilities.

Really convenient for late afternoon arrival from North Island by ferry. Check in all smooth. Given a good berth at top end of camp with a lovely view. Kitchen was OK- but electric rings took an age (there is only one gas ring which was in use). Toilets and showers all fine. Overall very pleasant camp not far from centre of Picton with short drive to museums, cafes and shops

We stayed for 2 nights in Unit 1. Clean comfortable unit (no kitchen/bathroom). Communal kitchen and toilets/showers super clean. Buildings and grounds really well kept. Kylie great to deal with. Nice playground and small pool for the kids. Awesome friendly feel to the place. Heaps of parking for boats outside the holiday park on quiet road. In the price bracket it’s in (cheap) five stars !!
