The Days Inn by Wyndham West Yellowstone garners mixed feedback from guests. The hotel is lauded for its prime location, close to Yellowstone attractions and local dining, and for the friendliness and helpfulness of its staff. While the rooms are acknowledged as spacious and the atmosphere is described as comfortable, some guests call attention to the dated decor and suggest that renovations are due. Despite the hotel's cleanliness and family-friendly amenities, like pools and a themed restaurant, the value proposition is questioned by travelers who feel the pricing is steep relative to the outdated facilities.

At a time of year when the summer season is winding down West Yellowstone was still pretty busy. This hotel did have some COVID requirements, but the staff was not great about adhering to them. Several front desk help did not wear their masks all the time while serving the public. They explained to us that room cleaning would not occur for guests staying three nights or fewer but on the last day we were there our room was cleaned and linens changed, not to my liking! The room was large and comfortable and had fridge, microwave and in room coffee maker, There was no coffee in the lobby and we were charged $1 for a cup of coffee if we wanted it with our breakfast. We did have bagged breakfasts included with the room, which were breakfast burritos and apple juice and a granola bar, not bad.

This Days Inn is in better condition than most I've experienced, carpets like new, furniture in nice condition, beds were comfortable, and everyone at the facility were pleasant and helpful. We reserved a 3-queen-bed room and it actually was two rooms with one bed in the second room. This helped provide privacy for one while other two shared a room and was a separate room for dressing. Worked well for grandma, son and granddaughter.

We recently stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Yellowstone. The rooms were clean, but the hallways and people up above us were noisy! Lots of kids in this hotel. Masks were required everywhere...except the pool. There seemed to be no restrictions on how many people could be in or around the pool at any given time and it was crowded! I’m not sure if the restaurant was open or closed. I thought it was closed, but reading other reviews it sounds like it might be open? I don’t know. We were given breakfast vouchers with pretty strict rules (make sure you don’t lose them or say they forgot to give them to you...I saw the front desk workers be very rude to someone who did just that. They told him it wasn’t their problem. ) When we went to get our breakfast I had to sign a piece of paper (really?) saying I had picked it up and we were handed paper bags with not even a smile or thank you. I asked about coffee and they said it was $1. I have never had a hotel give me breakfast, but make me pay for coffee! So odd! The breakfast was egg and cheese wrapped in a tortilla, unfortunately my family does not eat eggs. Nothing about breakfast was communicated at check in other than saying we had to have our punch card with us. It would have been nice to know what was or wasn’t being served so we could have planned accordingly. Our stay ended with the fire alarm going off at about 8am in the morning, luckily we were packing up at that moment and so we just checked out and left. Apparently, someone was smoking in the elevator. Interesting place.

Love staying at this place. Been coming for years, the cleanliness of this place is top notch and the Location is awesome. Within walking distance to all local restaurants and stores. Snowmobile right from the hotel is what we like best here!!!. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Lisa the new hotel manager was very easy to work with and I felt important to her at all times. The wait staff at breakfast was always welcoming. Sarah always acknowledged you with a good morning and a bright cheerful smile. Mike Edwards the head of housekeeping is hands down the nicest person you could ever meet. He was always helpful and made sure our rooms were tidy and we had everything we needed throughout the week. He always made sure we were taken care of at all times no matter how little or large our requests were. He was very tentative and would always open the door if he seen us coming. Just a wonderful experience all around and a great place to stay even if for a night. They offer a great breakfast in the morning and a indoor pool with a 100’ water slide and 2 hot tubs. I recommend staying here 100%. It’s a great friendly hotel that makes you not think twice about staying anywhere else in town!!! Also a big thank you to Paul the maintenance man for keeping things plowed and maintained to make my weeks perfect! Keep up the good work.
T.L.

The "breakfast" was a complete joke. I understand and appreciate the need to do grab and go, but a tiny "burrito" with a spoonful of egg and cheese and no meat, a small, crappy cereal bar and a cup of apple juice is ridiculous. Room was not as clean as it should be during a pandemic. There were handprints on the window, so it had not been wiped down. The flat surfaces and counter space had marks from where someone had put a drink. I wiped it down with a clorox wipe that I brought and it came right up, so the housekeeping is NOT doing its job. Also, there were fingerprints all over the elevator buttons so they need to be wiped down more often. Also, they have those very small pillows on the bed. Regular size pillows are so much more comfortable!

Each year, I take my family to West Yellowstone to snowmobile over Presidents Day weekend. I have stayed at Days Inn each time over the past 12 years. The staff and convenience of being able to have breakfast on site then walk across the street to pick up our rentals makes everything easy.

Granted the hotel is older, but it is kept in great shape, rooms have been updated and there is a heated indoor pool and two hot tubs.

I'll continue my stays with Days Inn for the future. Enjoy the trip each year.

After reading some of the previous reviews, we were expecting a sub-par hotel, but nothing could be farther from the truth. Our room was clean, everything was in good repair and it was incredibly quiet.

The manager and desk personnel were super accommodating! We arrived in West Yellowstone at 10:00 am and they let us check in immediately with no extra charge, even though the official check in isn't until 4 pm.

Like everything in West Yellowstone, rooms are a bit pricey (we paid $250 plus tax per night the last week of May), but not out of line with other hotels in town. Masks are still required, even though most of the town has stopped requiring them if you're fully vaccinated.

Years ago Days Inns were a good value and nice. Today it appears that many are second rate so wife and I tend to not consider them even though we're not particularly demanding. Based on reviews we tried the West Yellowstone one and were pleasantly surprised how nice it was. Joseph and Lori at the front desk were good to deal with and took good care of us. A waffle iron would have been much preferable to what appeared to be previously frozen waffles. We're retired and do pretty well financially but in general the insane price of hotels will certainly be at the forefront when considering traveling again. Frankly I don't know how most people afford to - the trillions of dollars thrown at the public during the pandemic must still be circulating and hoteliers, restaurants, etc. are taking full advantage.

I received unprofessional service from the Front Desk Manager and a lack of convincing explanation from the General Manager for two issues brought to their attention. I booked this motel since it was part of the Wyndham motel chain and I could use points as well as due to the good reviews of the breakfast offered at the restaurant connected to the motel. Upon arrival I was told we would receive a bag breakfast which consisted of a bent Chewy granola bar, a decent packaged muffin and a couple ounces of apple juice which I didn't take. No substitutions and no reduction in the price ($200+ or 30,000 Wyndham Rewards points). They are hiding behind Covid restrictions when local restaurants didn't even require masks inside. The GM said they met company policy. I had recently stayed at Super 8 and Baymont motels who offered a limited but better free breakfast. Motels like this are taking advantage of customers to save money while hiding behind Covid. Plus they struggled for 10 minutes to figure out how to print a checkout receipt for $0 (I used points). They said their system wouldn't allow it and argued with me while I had the same receipts printed for me at the Super 8 and Baymont locations on recent stays.

Bad experience. Rooms are clean, they gave us a room on the second floor. There was a ice machine twenty feet from the room, another ice machine and a soda machine directly below us on the 1st floor. They made such a racket, I was up all night.
Next morning I asked to be moved to a room away from the machines but they refused, citing that there was nothing they do because it was booked thru Priceline. I told them I didn’t think it was such a big request to change rooms, but they still refused to accommodate me because they do not have authorization to do that.
All in all HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I will sleep in my car before I stay at a days inn again.

Hi there, it all depends on their skill level. The only age restrictions we have is: children under the age of 14 need to have an adult (18 or over) with them in the pool area. The water slid is powerful and the stairs leading to the top go up pretty high. My personal recommendation would be to have one adult go up with a smaller child and have another waiting at the bottom to catch them. The smaller/lighter the child is the faster they go....
