We stayed in a room in the motel part of the complex. Although the room was somewhat dated, it was clean and conveniently located to the west entrance to Yellowstone. There were several restaurants and many gift shops within walking distance. The breakfast buffet included with our fee was very good, but you have to get there early for the best selection. Steve was the host/manager at the breakfast buffet, and he skillfully managed a large crowd of eager patrons both days we were there. I have never seen such a hard worker so early in the morning! A special mention of Chloe, a reservation lady who cheerfully searched and helped us get a last-minute room. Although the price of the room was a little high, I understand the seasonal nature of the businesses in West Yellowstone, Montana.

First and foremost, the property is very convenient to the West Entrance of Yellowstone NP.
We were booked into here by the NP's booking service because all the in-park facilities were full. I think we were set up at the "rack rate" but staff honored our AAA membership discount which reduced the cost here. Our room was in the "400" block just behind the restaurant but we never once had a problem with restaurant noise.
The restaurant itself (reviewed elsewhere) was really convenient for breakfast and our first night's dinner. Pricing was relatively high (but still really low for a Seattleite) but our meals were awesome. The $8 breakfast voucher gets you a hearty meal for either free or very low cost.
Staff were friendly and delightful to chat with (as well as being brutally honest). The property itself is a little dated but that's actually sort of fun as travel to Yellowstone really is a travel back to another time.
The swimming pool is an outdoor pool and, given that we were there in mid-September, was open but not routinely cleaned (lots of pine needles, etc.). We were provided with adequate soap, TP, and towels for our 4-day stay given that, because of COVID, most hotels have dropped the daily room servicing.
There's plenty of parking both on the property as well as on the nearby main streets. We'd stay here again, no problem.

We stayed in the goldilocks room. It has a second room with a bed for privacy. The beds were very comfortable, the room was large and very clean. They have a motel as well as the lodge. I prefer the lodge. The staff goes out of their way to help you with everything, from the front desk, to the snow gear room, and the snowmobiles. The guys there are very knowledgeable in where to go, and will give you tips if you are going out on your own. We rented all our clothing from Three Bears, and while it's warm, if your like me and freeze anyway, bring your long johns. The snowmobile handles have warmers on them but not for the passengers. My toes were cold as well and I had wool socks on. On our second day we took the bombadeer, which we had a blast in. You can rent it just for your family. Our driver (Clyde, I think) took us to places where we could stand up and open the top hatch and took pictures of wolfs and bison. We had such a great time, that we are going back in Feb of 2024. We do the package deal so that everything is included. If you are a lady and you are taking this trip, drink water lightly. The amount of clothes you have to take down to go to the bathroom is crazy. To top that off your snow suit hits the floor of the bathrooms and they are wet (not sure from snow or what) but it was a long ride back for me because I could not drop my suit and then put it back on. The restaurant attached to the lodge was very good. We ate breakfast there every morning. Dinner was very good as well.

A four night stay here for two couples was booked through one of the UK's top travel companies. We chose the Lodge because we wished to stay in a place that had some character and Three Bear Lodhe seems ideal. When we arrived we assigned motel rooms. These rooms were adequate but completely different from the photos and overall impression given on the website. When I asked why we weren't given rooms in the Lodge and even offered to pay for an upgraded room, I was told that bookings through 3rd parties (they insisted we had booked through Expedia) were a,ways given motel rooms and could not be changed. I had the same derogatory response upon checking out, being told we couldn't have a receipt as we had booked through Expedia. The impress given by Reception staff is that you are a second class citizen in their eyes unles you have booked directly with the Lodge. Additionally, breakfast arrangements are a bit odd. Breakfast was included in our booking, but unlike anywhere I have ever stayed, worldwide, we were given a voucher for each day that allowed us to order limited items from the restaurant's breakfast menu. Anything other than what was listed was at an additional cost. The location of the Lodge is its main benefit, but there are several choices in town equally close to Yellowstone's West entrance.

The info on this property says the lodge was constructed in 2009 and the rooms were remodeled in 2011. That's 12 years ago and the rooms need to be remodeled at this point. There is a lot of dark wood and that, along with limited windows, make the rooms very dark. The bathroom was quite small and cramped. We stayed in a two bedroom "suite" with a very weird layout. You enter the suite into one bedroom that had a sink area and the bathroom itself but no place to really sit other than the beds. Then you go through a door into the other bedroom that had a desk and a sink. So the second bedroom people had do go through the first bedroom to get in and out or to use the bathroom. Awkward... However, the room appeared to be reasonably clean and it had a small refrigerator and, I believe, a microwave. Also, since this is a somewhat older architecture, room access to a majority of the rooms is from the outside (no secure interior access like most buildings are constructed currently) and you park right by the door to the room so getting luggage and coolers and such into and out of the room was very easy. For reference, we stayed in 402 (see layout picture I attached) so getting to the restaurant was right out our door and a right turn, down a short hall, past the public restrooms and there we were. Note that there are some rooms accessible from the front lobby that are a little more secure if that's a concern. We didn't experience any issues, per se, while we were there. We stayed two nights and honestly, we booked this place because we planned somewhat late and there weren't a lot of places available. But if I had a choice, I would look at some other options if we were going to be back in the area and needed a place to spend the night.

We stayed here as a part of a well organized snowmobile package arranged through Yellowstonefun.com. We stayed in a room in the motel part of the lodge. The room was comfortable and up-to-date with beautiful locally made furniture. There were actually 2 rooms, one with a king bed and a separate room with a queen bed which we used as a dressing room. Three Bear Lodge also provided our snowmobile gear, which was in very good condition, and tours of Yellowstone, which were wonderful. Everything was well-planned and communicated to us. Folks at the front desk were friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience there.

Our party of three adults stayed in a 2 bedroom, one bath room. It was not super fancy, but perfect as our base for Yellowstone National Park. The room had a fridge & microwave, and adequate storage space for the luggage. Bath was a bit small, but newly remodeled, and woud not let that fact keep you from staying here. The staff was hustling to keep the guests happy so round-of-applause to them!! The hotel gives you a voucher for a fixed menu of breakfast items, or lets you use it as a credit toward your breakfast bill. The food was better than any hotel buffet, hearty, and homemade. Cinnamon rolls were excelent, as I had one several days in a row...but hiked off the calories during the day. LOL The restaurant staff really worked hard to keep short-staffing issues to a miimum. A family run place that I would return to!

The staff stands out here, friendly and accommodating every step of the way. Planned off-season snowmobiling trip to Yellowstone with guides and also exploring area on rental sleds. Convenient to everything in West Yellowstone. Facilities are cottage cozy, clean, nothing fancy with a really great restaurant for breakfast thru dinners. Staff can recommend guides and rental companies, super easy to ride in and out of park and back to Three Bears Resort

I recently stayed at the Lodge while touring Yellowstone Park. The room was large and comfortable; the location was within walking distance of many shops and restaurants as well as tourist attractions. When weather conditions threatened my flight home the ladies at the front desk graciously assured me I could stay in the same room another night. Fortunately I was able to leave on time and the person who took me to the airport stayed with me until we confirmed the flight would take off.

We loved this family run hotel. Check in was completed by a pleasant gentleman. Cookies were available at the front desk and there was a complimentary tea and coffee bar. We were pleased to discover a delicious breakfast buffet was included in their restaurant featuring bacon, ham, quiche, smoked salmon, etc. We were thrilled to walk in to our spacious wheelchair accessible room with a large bathroom and well thought out roll in shower. Little touches like a heater in the bathroom were appreciated. The room was very comfortable with both a refrigerator and a microwave. The hotel also has a cozy lounge with well made cocktails. There is also a hot tub, pool and laundry. A very positive experience and one can easily appreciate this is an independent hotel and not part of a chain.

We will provide snowsuit, gloves, helmet with visor, balaclava and boots. We would suggest hand and feet warmers, wool socks, multiple light under layers and an additional hat or neck gator.
If you want to bring a higher quality balaclava it is not a bad idea. As suggested above, a high energy snack is a great idea as is extra water.
The better prepared for the cold the more fun you'll have!
We look forward to seeing you!
