Unless you are desperate for money I would stay away. This place is your average 1960's motel and shows its age. Our unit (120) was on the street and had a light right outside one of the picture windows shining inside all night since there were no blackout curtains. The faucets were installed backwards and plumbed backwards also. Unit has poor lighting and almost no outlets for chargers. The bed was not horrible but could have used a better mattress. This is your typical $50 a night motel room but not worth $200+. Pay more and get a reasonable place.

Compared to the price of everything else this is one of the cheapest. You have to call ahead to ask for a room with a fridge and microwave. Motel 6 Quality but room was clean. We did have a problem when we first arrived. We booked through Booking.com for 4 nights and when we got there the hotel only had us booked for 1 night and they were completely booked for the week. It was late so they said we would have to come back in the morning and they would try to get us in another hotel. The manager was very helpful. She said just go to the park and not to worry she would find us another room. So we did and she did get us in another hotel so we were thankful after worrying we drove 17 hours for 1 night. lol So overall I was happy to be able to finish my trip. My advice is to call and verify they have you booked for the right amount of nights.

Way overpriced for one night and no amenities provided. If you forgot your shampoo or your soap, you were simply out of luck. They did have a single serve coffee provider but that's it. WiFi was available but wasn't working. It was simply a place to sleep for one night and that's all.

Accommodation is very expensive in West Yellowstone. This place costs approximately $180 per night and you get very little bang for your buck. To actually get a good room in a nice hotel in West Yellowstone will probably set you back at least $400 per night. So if you are on a budget or you do not want to splash out for several nights, at $400 per night, you end up in a place like this.

The first thing you notice is that there is no fridge. This could be quite disconcerting when temperatures can range from the 70s and upwards during the summer. There is, however, plenty of free ice and you can fill your cooler with bags of ice and keep your perishables cold.

Otherwise, the room is very basic and relatively clean. This hotel is a deed centrally located within walking distance of a couple of supermarkets, coffee shops and restaurants. As for the service, it is quite abysmally. One of the evening receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. However, one of the morning receptionist was completely unhelpful.

Bottom line… You get what you pay for. And at this particular town, you pay quite a lot to stay in a dump.

We decided to head to Yellowstone for four nights, only three weeks in advance. Not a lot available that late in the game during their busy season. I picked this motel because it was extremely close to the west entrance of the park and was one of the few places that had a five person option without getting two rooms. It is actually two motels adjacent, the dude and the round up. We stayed at the round up. Very old motel, that is clear. Could use updates on the carpet and bedding but it was pretty clean. No frills but is a great place to take a hot shower and get a good night’s sleep after a full day of hiking and exploring. It is very close to some excellent dining and grocery store, all within walking distance but very quiet as it is on the end of town. Staff was very friendly and the in room coffee wasn’t half bad.

Made a reservation with cost of $135.00 was charged $190.28. This motel is maybe Motel 6 quality at best. Very out dated stains on carpets. Evening clerk was very helpful and informed us that wifi was limited at best and gave us number to call if we needed help getting it to work was to tired to bother. The next morning we slept in and while waiting for hot water for my shower over 5 minutes and it had one of those single handle type controls so I turned it to all options and never got better that icy cold water. When you stay at a motel/hotel you want 2 things RIGHT a comfortable bed and a shower with hot water.
I went to the office and asked for a discount the girl was unable to do anything so she called the office manager and I talked to her over the phone and she was RUDE from the get go. Implying I was only saying this to get a discount. Telling me she would get the maintenance person over when she got around to it even though I was will to go wait for him right then and there. She also said the best discount I would get IF she determined it was appropriate was 5%.
I refuse to bath in icy water. I have muscle problems and stress and cold only aggravate them.
Wow. Do Not get a room from this place.

Beware anyone booking but some rooms don’t have a refrigerator or a microwave. I considered this room expensive considering we had to buy a chill box & fill every day with ice. Location good as it’s close to the NPS entrance but I’d never recommend room otherwise. Apparently they have done a renovation … shame they couldn’t spend a couple hundred dollars to put in basic motel equipment

Simple hotel with the basics. Three beds and lots of room. Comfortable mattress.

There was a 1 inch gap in our front exterior door on the second floor.
When I told the front desk staff about it and said I was worried that mice would get in, she said they hadn’t yet. She then asked me what she wanted me to do about it. I asked if there was something we could use to close the gap and she said use a towel. When I asked her for a towel she seemed annoyed that I asked. We didn’t get any mice in it that shouldn’t even be a concern.

Room doesn't have microwave, mini fridge, or coffee maker. Ice is behind desk where you are micromanaged to your small portion, and limited parking. Walls thin and occassional abrupt loud noises from other room and cars. Some customers sitting in room chair outside room as their A/C isn't working. Lamp shades are tore up and carpet has stains. Staff called manager and they wouldn't help us in any way. Refused any discount, refused all options posed to bring over the items or change rooms. No offer to help even on our second night's stay. We truly use the microwave to cook food and use fridge to store it. Ruined our evening!

It was not a good value for the money; however, NONE of the accommodations in / near Yellowstone are good values because they are triple the price of their worth due to their proximity to Yellowstone.

This is the cheapest motel in the West Yellowstone area just outside the park.

It is a combination of two adjacent motels - Dude Motel and Roundup Motel.

The reception desk is located inside the newly painted Dude Motel, which I'm guessing houses the remodeled rooms. The receptionist wasn't rude, but he wasn't friendly, either.

My friend and I were given a room in the Roundup Motel across the street, which looked like a very old Motel 6.

The room inside was clean, but very basic with an old TV and furniture.

The bedspreads, carpet, and drapes were dingy and stained.

The A/C was loud, but worked.

The bath towels were small, rough, and somewhat stained.

The Wi-Fi did not work at all.

No fridge or microwave. No ice machine.

My friend and I stayed here for 2 nights because we wanted to be close enough to explore Yellowstone for a few days. We were out all day from sunrise to dark, so we really just needed a place to crash. As such, it was fine.
