A wonderful locally owned motel in the heart of West Yellowstone. It is located on the main road, very near restaurants and shops. It was so convenient to have the car right outside the door. The room is decorated with very nice log furniture and tasteful western decor. The bed was very comfortable. There were many special touches, like fragrant soaps, shampoo, and conditioner, bottled water and hand sanitizer, and a personal welcome note. We had the room “nearest to the road”, and with the air conditioner humming, had no issues at all with road noise. Their website says this room is bigger than most, and we found it quite roomy, with two beds, a table and chairs, a desk, a loveseat, and a fridge. In addition to a laundry room with ice machine, the motel has a small patio with tables, chairs, and a grill located right behind the office, a nice option if you want to sit outside. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient, and gave us a great recommendation for a bar and grill - The Buffalo Bar - just down the street. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

We stayed here during our three day trip to Yellowstone National Park and couldn’t have picked a better location. Just minutes from the gate, close to Ernies Deli and many of the downtown restaurants this motel is perfect for families or groups that want to be off the main hotel area.
The hotel has many nice amenities both on property and in the rooms. Upon arrival we had a hand written note waiting for us, and each day housekeeping left a card that outlined the next days weather and sunrise and sunset schedule. Also the rooms are expertly decorated with a local flair.
We will make this our “go to” place for future visits!

This hotel is everything promised. The room is very nice and clean. You can tell it has been well maintained and renovated over the years. The room looks brand new and the beds are very comfortable. We had the 2 queens by the road, room 1. If a little road noise will keep you up, not the room for you. My son and I are sound sleepers and slept great. For the price, it is the best room in West Yellowstone. The staff is friendly. The room has fridge, coffee maker, wifi, table and chairs, desk, and a love seat. We were very comfortable. Why stay in a big chain hotel and pay those prices when you can stay in modern rustic charm more comfortably and at a better price.

One of the nice personal touches was a hand written welcome post card in our room that told us the weather for our stay and welcomed us.

Ok, maybe a bit better than average, but couldn't say very good. There was nobody in reception when we arrived, admittedly check in was 15:00 and it was perhaps 14:50, with a note on the door that someone would be back for 15:00, but we were a bit surprised. The staff at check in were not friendly, just courteous. Our room was clean and well presented, but small and hard for us to have two suitcases open. Our biggest problem was the air conditioning. The aircon unit was what appeared to be a free-standing mobile unit which was plumbed in. The room was very warm and the aircon unit did not appear to be functioning correctly, it was also incredibly noisy. The unit was so noisy that it was impossible to have it running during the night as we would not be able to sleep. It was also not possible to hear the TV whilst the unit was running. The staff had it checked and reported back that it was functioning correctly. It was suggested that we left it running whilst we were out during the day, which we did, but it made little difference. We were also offered ear plugs to wear during the night, really? I spoke to the visitors in the room adjacent to ours who made the same observations and said that they left the room door open to help reduce the temperature inside. Of course, leaving the door open all night is not really an option. It was possible to get a tea/coffee in reception and although breakfast was not an option, there were some morning cakes to add to the drinks. Hard to justify the high prices for rooms with so few amenities, I can only assume the prices reflect the proximity to Yellowstone NP.

This was a cozy and clean property. Room was small but clean and nicely decorated. Comfortable bed and pillows. Tables and chairs were set up outside by each room. Free parking, big trashcans (recycling as well) and laundry room were available. Courteous staff.

The only issue was the air conditioner that was too loud.

The cutest little motel in West Yellowstone. Love the rustic shabby chic vibe. They did a great job of remodeling and updating this motel. The economy queen was spacious and had a fridge, large bathroom, comfy bed, and desk with chair and side chair. The little details (pine cone shower curtain hangers, pine cone lamp, Buffalo wall art) were adorable. We loved eating our dinners or drinking beers at the table outside of the room (all rooms have this). They also had a little outdoor patio across the lot with a grill, grilling utensils, tables, chairs, and cute hanging lights. Highly recommend if in the area!

Oh my, what a nice place. We had to change our Gardiner MT reservations last minute due to the road damage (floods) and stayed one night in room 1 (by the road) at the Evergreen Motel. It was SUCH a nice stay. Immaculate, double queen room (nice size) comfortable, updated amenities. We had no problem with street noise. We all slept well. Only thing to note is that you ARE right by the sidewalk, just be creative with the curtain placement for privacy and using the air conditioner.

The young woman at the front desk was so pleasant and they serve coffee, etc and little pastries in the morning! We were very very happy with our stay. I recommend this motel highly.

This is must a couple of minutes from the West Entrance of Yellowstone and just a couple of minutes walk to stores and restaurants; a great place.

Great stay! SUPER cute motel with a ton of little touches around the rooms; the management has thought of everything to make their guests' stays comfortable. Comfy bed, cold A/C, DirecTV, microwave and large fridge, shampoo and soap dispensers in the shower, free water bottles in the room. Reception desk had coffee, tea and little snacks 24/7. We were only a few blocks from plenty of bars and restaurants. We wished we had stayed here longer than 1 night as it would have been a great base for exploring Yellowstone!

We loved our stay at the Evergreen. Elijah and his colleagues were nothing but professional and helpful. It offered a washer and a dryer. This is an old restored motor court. So we could back our car up right to the door to unload our stuff. Everything was clean and new. We stayed in room 18, which is right next to the ice machine and laundry room. It was very small room but well done. It was in walking distance of many restaurants but it was summer so the town was like Key West with tons of souvenir shops and screaming kids and people speaking another language is. We had dinner at the Bullwinkle and Sarah was our server and she was beyond great. The Bullwinkle has great margaritas. Our second dinner was at buffalo some thing and it had great buffalo meatballs and great service.
The breakfast restaurant right next to the hotel was great it was called euro café and you could walk there in less than a minute. They offer free coffee and pastries in the morning. Anyway I would stay here again if I ever was going to West Yellowstone. The town was crowded and weird at the hotel was a great

While researching for lodging near Yellowstone National Park, my wife and I decided to stay at The Evergreen because of its affordability, closeness to the West entrance of the park, and mention of the cleanliness of the hotel. Well, we booked and stayed for three nights, and we can say with all honesty, the Evergreen Motel lived up to all it's good reviews, and then some. The room wasn't large, but it met all our needs and was very clean and quiet. We found the employees to be very nice and helpful. We used their guest laundry facilities which was clean as well,. We are so very pleased we made the absolute right choice in spending our time in Yellowstone at The Evergreen Motel. It was a stay we will long remember! Highly recommend!!

Do single Queen rooms have microwave?
Answer from Logan D
West Yellowstone, Montana1 contribution
Hi lakshubkn, Thanks for asking about microwaves in our rooms. We do not have microwaves in our standard rooms. It's best to go straight to the source and check our website to read our room descriptions to see what is in included and what is not. We have many different room types and if a microwave is not listed, it will not be in your room.
