Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We enjoyed this park for the night. I must say I would rather stay on the left side of the park than the right side. It was more forest type of trees and seemed more private. We were at site 10 a back in. We loved it! There was plenty of space between each other even though it was a very busy park but we didn’t feel overcrowded. The site was very level. Verizon did not work for me there but Sprint/T-Mobile did. The Wi-Fi did not work at the RV site but by the office. We were up against the fence along a dead end road which was super nice and quiet. There is a nice path walking towards the forest for dogs. The picnic tables were so nice because they were more of the plastic material than the wood. I don’t normally like to eat outside but we actually had a picnic because the table was so nice. We loved this place which surprised me because it was so busy but we never once felt like it was.

The Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park and Cabins is the 79th stop for us and we stayed 10 night – stayed at the Yellowstone KOA last year and did not like it at all. In the town of West Yellowstone and just 2 blocks south of the park’s west entrance and can walk anywhere in town as it is only 4 blocks by 8 blocks. Check in was easy, all staff were nice and customer-oriented and the wide paved streets made it easy to navigate to our site. The site was gravel and level, we had a concrete patio and the utilities were well placed. There was a small selection of cable channels as well. Our site backed up to an intersection and there was no issue at all with noise. The grounds were excellently maintained with nightly watering and it was a nice place to walk the dog. The bathroom and laundry facilities were cleaned daily but the one complaint was the expensive and not very good laundry facilities – after more than 30 minutes of having to restart the dryer every 5 minutes, the clothes were super damp. Otherwise, loved the park and would definitely stay here again in the future. My rating is a 4.7. For connectivity (early morning): Verizon 123.0 down/33.8 up; T-Mobile 27.4 down/2.7 up; WiFi 3.0 down/1.2 up.

West Yellowstone is such a nice clean little town. It’s proximity to the west entrance to Yellowstone is terrific. First thing we notice, is the width of the streets to move around the park. There is a large staging area, but if you are in one of the large pull-through sites and towing a vehicle, then you stay hooked and pull in. When you are ready to go, hook up and go.

Check in was easy with friendly people. They have a nice store. Everyone on our way to our site 244, was friendly and waved as we
made our way through the park. This is not an inexpensive park, but the sites are nice with the picnic table on a concrete slab. Our site had something new; a heating system for the water to keep it from freezing, however when temperatures are forecasted to be near freezing they will ask you to unhook your water. Our site was about average of size; on the smallish size though it was well maintained. Nice picnic tables.

The campground was busy considering the weather. Spring is late. Yellowstone had no snow in January and recently it finally came pushing things later.

The bathrooms were super. The shower had a larger shower staging area with a timed heat light and a large bench with several hooks for your items. Many other places we have stayed, this area was smallish and usually when you finished with your shower the floor was wet. The water was hot quickly.

The laundry was on the expensive side. $3 to wash. We waited until the next campground and the price was half the cost.

This is a very nice, but expensive campground. Our opinion, it is worth the extra money.

February 7th I made a reservation on the online system for a week stay at the Yellowstone grizzly RV park. In September 2021

The software system online did not work properly and gave an error saying that it didn't work.

Two weeks later I sent an email saying that I wanted to make a reservation for a week stay at the end of September same dates as the first request and I was told they were full. And there was no availability for that week.

However it turns out the original reservation went through I did not get a confirmation but they did bill my credit card which I didn't see until today

So after making other arrangements for a different park they called me and told me that I was late and therefore they were not refunding $112 nightly fee

I drove to the location and spoke to the supervisor Terry and the manager Darren only to be told that the policy was if you don't cancel your reservation 24 hours ahead of the arrival you pay the full price.

I asked if there was any flexibility of any kind

The answer was no

This RV park is awesome. Staff was super friendly and helpfull! The facilities are clean, spacious and nice. The location is in the heart of West Yellowstone, close to the shops and restaurants yet away from any noise. Very quiet. I'd stay there again. Just 20 min away from Yellowstone NP. Very convinient.

We stayed in this great, well maintained RV park in a 40’ motorhome. The gravel pull through slot was large and level with a concrete pad/picnic table. Easy check in with friendly staff. Very close to restaurants and other sites. Short drive to the West Yellowstone NP entrance which is very convenient. Looking forward to our next visit!

This is a beautiful, well-maintained, quiet campground. The people who work here are so friendly and maintenance is continually cleaning! The grass is thick and green, sites have ample space between them and the entrance to the park is 2 minutes away! The town of west Yellowstone is a block or two away-near enough, but not so close to the crowds shopping and eating in town.
The only thing that I would love to see changed is for there to be an actual fenced in dog area for dogs to play in. They have a “pet area”, but it runs behind other peoples campers and leads to a wooded area which I was afraid to walk in with the dog by myself being in bear country. And, I had to walk through peoples sites to get to the actual pet area and back to my camper. They need designated cement or stone paths to walk from the roadway to the pet area without having to go through others sites.
Other than this, we absolutely loved it here and will be back!

The sites are spacious and well maintained. The playground is great for the kiddos. Very Clean Showers. The biggest and most pleasant surprise was the dog-walk. We didn’t bring our dogs but took our bikes on the dog-walk which turned into an excellent biking trail that will take you all the way in to town! We debated on whether or not we would bring the bikes but we’re so glad we did! Be sure to book way in advance because this park fills up quickly.

We are new to RV Parks and we found Yellowstone grizzly rv park to be a wonderful spot! It is a beautiful setting and they take meticulous care of the park. There are a wonderful trees between each campsite and they water the grass every night so that is green. The bathrooms were immaculate and there was a great laundry room which was super helpful on the trip. We highly recommend the spot

The high country starts close down in October, and I think the Grizzly RV park closes mid October. I know the National Park campgrounds close early October - they closed West Thumb behind our rig on the 3rd couple of years ago. I think Mammoth stays open later. There are RV parks that have an extended season, the easiest way is to email, better yet call, and see if they are open.
