I stayed one night on a cross country trip. My room was in the annex, which was great you can park and unload in front of your door. the room was SPOTLESS, cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. New carpet, thick towels and a very comfortable bed. Nice table and chair in front of the room was a great place to relax. They allow dogs which I appreciate and try to leave the room with no sign of an animal having been there. only reason it's not 5 star is you can hear the room next door and the occupants were up and down throughout the night using the bathroom and it work me up every time. Otherwise great spot. and good pie restaurant down a few blocks

Of course we are leaving Yellowstone without hotel reservations.  We finally found availability in Three Forks, MT and is was in the general direction of our travels.  After arriving, we were so thrilled that fate brought us here!!

Krissy took our reservation, reminded us to watch for wildlife and advised us not to pet the buffalo.

So to the meat of our stay.  Hey!!! Another well run independently owned hotel.  A delightful little boutique inn with local history crocheted in.

Exquisitely clean, the beds were comfortable, water hot and good pressure.  The towels were thick and soft.  Wish we could have enjoyed the deck off our room.

The Zen pond and multiple waterfalls were beyond beautiful and inviting.

The true heart of this hotel comes from the only person we met, Krissy.  She is not the owner nor the manager but she definitely takes ownership pride.  She does it all: cleans rooms, runs the front and even cleans the ponds and waterfalls.

If you are in the area you have to let them host your visit as you travel.  A big plus as I have said in other posts being locally/independently owned, this hotel does not pay the huge franchise fees, thus passing the savings on to the customer.

As a solo, female traveler, I look for smaller places to stay, where I can be comfortable and safe. The Lewis and Clark Motel was off the beaten track and fit my needs. Cristy, a Jill of all trades, fielded my questions, greeted me by name, and inquired about my comfort. I enjoyed the small-town feel of Three Forks, only about 25 minutes by frontage road (Hiway 205) from the Bozeman Airport at Belgrade.

Room Tip: My room was on the 2nd floor with a balcony overlooking Main Street. It was quiet at night.

This place was great! When we travel we usually stay in bigger chains and to be honest that us what we were looking for but we ended up at Lewis & Clark and it was so much better! Super friendly staff, clean and comfy rooms (the beds are the best!), they were able to accommodate our last minute pet request and there were so many little extras to make it extra special (a fully stocked board game collection, ice cream counter, complimentary light breakfast and a really great selection of snacks and drinks at reasonable prices. Plus it is always nice to support a family business and dream. We were very happy with everything about our stay!

Check-in was friendly and helpful. The motel looks inviting from the outside, but the room looked dingy and outdated. The bed was comfortable. The AC was decent but loud. The room and bathroom were well lit. There was a microwave and a mini-fridge with separate freezer compartment. The small bathroom had a stained sink and almost no counter space. There was nowhere to hang a towel. The shower head was good. Breakfast was unimpressive, with snacky food like energy bars and yogurt. It was not worth $200 per night!

Definitely an old style hotel, actually used keys for the rooms. It was on one side of town but it was easy to walk the entire length of Main St to get to restaurants. Room was very small and the bed was way to soft. My husband and I prefer a firmer mattress. Other than that it was a cute place to stay.

We booked this motel per chance and were pleasantly surprised! It has a 1960's vibe with all the modern necessities travelers expect in todays world. Very competent front desk gal named Christy. Clean and comfy rooms, with wonderful beds, linens and updated bathroom. Grab & Go breakfast available, due to Covid, the darling dining room was closed. The only draw back was the noise of the in room mounted air conditioner, however I bring a white noise machine whenever I travel which helped with this slight issue. At least the room was nice and cool, plus had a convenient ceiling fan!

The motel is in a good location at the edge of town. It is from the 60's. The AC is a window unit. The bed was very very soft. Only one couple runs the place. Clean but old. There is no clock in the room. Breakfast is grab n go. Just ok - a little too designer. Way too expensive for what you get.

Pleasantly surprised and happy to have found such a wonderful place to stay.
CLEAN! Very comfortable beds and all for a great price. Couldn't have
been happier with this motel. Excellent service at the front desk--friendly and
knowledgeable. Have been in the hospitality business for 12 years and this
is a winner!

This motel is located in a small city in Montana, sufficiently far from the interstate you can't hear the traffic.
Ginger cookies and banana bread greet guests in the front lobby.
Checkin was quick and efficient, and we were given the choice between rooms in different sections of the hotel. We chose the older section which has the giftof new beds, and it was the most restful sleep I've had in auite some time, better than hotels at twice the price.
