Detailed Reviews
Stay here if you are ever in the area! Tom & Sheri are incredible people. Super friendly & welcoming! They both have such kind spirits given to them by God which just pours out of them. The area is beyond beautiful with lots to see & do nearby. Cabins are SUPER clean & cozy. Cleanest place we have EVER stayed in! As one reviewer said, it's the only place you feel comfortable letting your feet touch the floor. Details & decorations make you feel right at home. You can feel the love that was poured into this property as they built these cabins. Sunrises are breath-taking. We are especially grateful for their flexibility/helpfulness when an error occurred at a local lodging establishment (arranged by someone else) so that when we arrived late in the evening our room had mistakenly been given to someone else. Tom & Sheri were quick to accept us. Personally greeted us and had our cabin porch light already on to welcome us! Turned out to be an incredible blessing which we are beyond thankful for!

What a wonderful place this is! We stayed at a beautiful cabin with a full kitchen, living room with a pull out bed, flat screen tv, wood stove, fan, full bathroom with tub, one separate bedroom with a spacious closet, one king bed and one queen bed.
Everything was tastily decorated, clean, the cabin finishes touches were delightful!
The location was beautiful, peaceful, truly a feeling of Montana with the big sky and fresh air. We are definitely going back and staying much longer!

Cutest place ever!! This little jem is south of Sheridan, Mt and worth the few minutes to get there! Quiet neighborhood, view of the Montana livestock. Nice porch, comfy beds. We stayed in mid Aug and could have used a way to cool down the cabin just a bit more, but this would not stop us from staying again. Great restaurant just 2 minutes away...we loved this place and the owners!

We spent a couple of nights with Tom and Sherri over the weekend and had a great stay digging up details of ancestors and their story’s. A perfect little cabin with a cozy front porch with a picturesque view of mountains. We’ll be back!!

I have been visiting and staying at Elijah's Rest for the past **Five Years** and I have always had an enjoyable experience!
- Relaxing on my cabin's porch surrounded by beautiful mountains in the Ruby valley,
- Watching horses graze in the adjoining pasture (your horses can stay here too!)
- Eating a yummy home-cooked breakfast served up by your hosts
- Watching shooting stars on a Big Sky night
- Kayaking on the nearby Ruby River
- Accessing Free WiFi in my cabin
- Visiting historic Virginia City (just 12miles away)
- Chatting with the knowledgeable hosts for tips on local fishing, hiking, hunting, river floating, etc and spending the day on outdoor adventures
- Coming back to a cozy room with authentic Montana decorating and the conveniences of a fridge, microwave, and TV.
***EXCELLENT PLACE TO STAY*** Multiple cabins available--bring your friends!

The cabins are spotless and nicely decorated (I chose the Fishing theme). The fishing nearby was great (especially the Ruby River, which was just beautiful).
The stars were amazing and the nights were quiet and peaceful.
The hosts are as nice as you could find. Ah, but breakfast was worth writing home about - outstanding! (don't miss the homemade biscuits and gravy)

Absolutely perfect stay! Sooo clean and the owners were super kind. The deluxe cabin fit 4 boys and 2 adults perfectly with plenty of space with wi-if and cable. They had a grill we made dinner on and ample space for the boys to play. The only thing I would love to see in the future is a fire pit to unwind and roast a s’more or two.
Super close to Virginia city and Nevada City where we enjoyed panning for gold and walking Main Street. Do the haunted ghost walk at night or was eerie yet insightful. We also visited Lewis and Clark caverns and soaked in Norris hot spring (both are a must!)
I would totally stay here again with my entire family!

I've stayed in some great bed and breakfasts, but nothing was as wonderful as the experience we had with Elijah's Rest. The rooms were clean, the hospitality was first rate, and if you miss their breakfast, then you are a fool! It was wonderful. Day one of our trip they served us omelettes and day two was oversize waffles. As a southern boy, I know my biscuits and gravy, and apparently Montanans do too! We are planning future trips to the Yellowstone area and we will be making reservations again.

If your looking for a place to recharge and recenter, this is it! My family and I got to stay in a wonderfully maintained cabin with all the essentials. Everything was clean and updated. The views this place had we're AWESOME!! It seemed like we were surrounded by snowcapped mountains in the background and livestock peppered pastures in the foreground. Tom and Sheri we're kind and genuine hosts with a wealth of knowledge of the immediate and surrounding areas. Please don't overlook this gem of a spot on your next visit to Montana. While there ask about the 100+ year old barn located on the grounds that is being renovated. It's a heart changing story!
