In town solo for a few days of fly fishing. This facility (at which I've stayed during prior trips) remains a straight forward lodging option, though with an indoor pool. Location is easy on / off interstate, and within easy walking of a variety of eating options. Staff friendly, though reaching management with questions doesn't necessarily happen in a timely fashion. Breakfast options were surprisingly inviting. Value is questionable, but the prices are what the location and time of year allows.

This hotel has changed names a few times over the years. The access from the Interstate is super easy, The Montana Club is right across the parking lot and parking was plenty. Melody at check in was very nice. We were in room 226, which is quite small, but very clean and modern. Great amount of outlets and USB ports; the bed was not the most comfortable and the A/C was lousy. Toilet paper holder was broken (one would think that housekeeping would notice this) Pool and hot tub were closed indefinitely due to 'Covid'. Also, due to 'Covid' the was no other breakfast than a little grab and go bag of mostly sweet stuff (despite Montana restaurants being open and at full capacity!)

Our original plans driving through Montana were to camp in Clinton, but forecast rain the next morning threw a wrench in those ideas. Since we have stayed in Choice hotels, particularly Quality Inns in several places, I felt comfortable choosing this hotel to meet our unexpected needs. The price was right, the beds and bathroom comfortable, and we were able to get a good rest before another long drive on our road trip. Due to COVID, the traditional breakfast setup was not possible, but the hotel provided to-go bags with cuties oranges, Nutrigrain bars, and Danishes.

I don't know what hotel these 4 and 5 star reviewers stayed at but it couldn't have been the same one my wife and I stayed at. They must have really low standards. I call this hotel a $140 per night dump. Dated and dirty. The chair and ottoman in the room had a number of large, dark stains on them. Bathroom is also dated. Bathtub creaked terribly when taking a shower. Vending machines would not take cash nor credit/debit cards. Front desk clerk failed to inform us about and provide the hang tag we needed to hang on our door if we wanted our room cleaned and towels replaced. Our room didn't get cleaned until after we checked out (4 days later). Security is terrible. We were informed by the front desk clerk to prop the side entrance door of the hotel open with a rock because the card reader doesn't work all the time. Anybody with mayhem on their mind could easily gain access to the hotel through this open side door. Also, part of our room rate was for a hot breakfast but we were informed at check in that all they were providing were cold items.
The only redeeming qualities of this hotel are the bed was comfortable and the water for showers was hot. We will never stay at this hotel again.

I booked a jacuzzi suite for a mini vacation for myself. I looked forward to sleeping in and soaking in my in room jacuzzi for weeks. The front desk employee at check in was super friendly and welcoming.
The room was clean, the jacuzzi blew out black gunk the first time the jets were turned on. I let it run and then cleaned it before finally enjoying a relaxing soak.
I tried to use the vending machines and lost money and returned with no snacks or drinks.
The bed was super hard and aggravated my back each night. I looked forward to sleeping in but was awaken by housekeeping staff trying to get into my room long before I was to be checked out.
The continental breakfast was frozen burritos and mediocre coffee.
Overall not what I expected for a room close to $200 per night.

In Missoula for the class A basketball tourney. Got a room at the Quality Inn. Check in went smooth enough, but upon entering the room, it REEKED of cigarette smoke. We called the front desk, as we thought we got a non smoking from. The guy working the front desk, identified himself as “Cannon”, was very rude and condescending when we called and told him of the problem. Told us it was a non smoking hotel and that somebody before us must have smoked in the room. Like I said, he was rude and condescending and offered no solution to the issue. We requested he send housekeeping to try and do something about the smell, but he said there was no house keeping working. Told us all rooms were sold, and basically we had to just live with it. We will never stay there again and won’t recommend anybody stay there either. When my wife went t down to talk to him more about the issue, he hid in a back room and wouldn’t come out to talk to her until another guest walked in. He gave her him first name, and refused to give his last name. Very bad experience for me and my family.

The woman working the reception desk was not wearing a mask and didn't seemed concerned about it even though it was clearly posted that masks are required to enter the building. This made us wonder how well the property had been cleaned and how well they were following safe guidance on COVID-19. This really was unacceptable.

I’ve stayed here once before and it was okay. But this time...ugh!
To begin, my room was poorly cleaned. I moved the chair in order to pull the privacy curtains (which didn’t fully close otherwise) and found a potato chip. Later, I found a wrapper for a breakfast danish under the bed when I knelt down to retrieve a dropped item. The cardboard notice propped on the bed had obviously been used multiple times, as it was crinkled, and the bed cover had a hole (about the size of a cigarette).
When I checked out at 4:30 am the following morning, I wasn’t offered the advertised complimentary breakfast bag; my friend got one from her hotel. The clerk didn’t offer a receipt for my stay or even check to see if I had any incidental charges. She barely got up to accept the returned key cards.
On the positive side, the bed was comfortable and the room had both a refrigerator and microwave oven.
I would look elsewhere for lodging in the future.

Was supposed to be going to Yellowstone but that week was when the massive flooding occurred and Yellowstone was closed. Had to change plans last minute. Decided to explore other parts of Montana instead and booked a room for one night in Missoula. Pleasant surprise. Missoula was pretty and the people I met were really friendly.
I could have sworn I booked a room with a whirlpool tub. I had a suite but just a regular tub. Overall that wasn't a big deal as I didn't get to the hotel until 8PM and still needed to find somewhere to eat. No time for a bath.
The shower head was aimed weird, but had great flow. The toilet was higher than normal which was nice since I was achy from hiking. The tub edge was a bit lower. Also nice. Everything was clean.
My room was on the second floor. No elevator. Hotel seems solidly built meaning the floor felt really solid with no creaking so I didn't think I was being a stompy elephant to the people below me. The tv was huge. Large fridge with a freezer. The microwave worked.
Very comfy bed and pillows. Slept well. This place was QUIET. I heard absolutely no one all night other than some doors slam. Good location right off the freeway. There were places nearby to eat and other shopping.
The main reason I chose this hotel was because it is pet free! Yay! No wet dog smell! No incessant barking at all hours! Definitely would stay here again and I wished I had spent more than one night in Missoula.

Hotel is located among a bunch of others in a business area of Missoula. Room was a decent size and we appreciated having a separate seating area. The bed was comfortable but had bizarrely small pillows. Breakfast was an average selection of sealed fruit cups, yogurt, and burritos. The pool and hot tub area were open. The shower was quite noisy. Pretty standard chain hotel offering with friendly front desk service and a price better than the other hotels in the area.

Yes, free parking is available. Note: the problem we had with this property was that it was undergoing a renovation. We were there in mid-July. This hotel is located about 5 miles from downtown. In retrospect, I would have preferred a hotel that was near the Clark Fork River, since I am a runner.
There are more places to choose from in the Missoula area.
