Motel 6 isn't fancy. They don't have microwaves or refrigerators in the rooms (though there are microwaves in the lobby). The rooms have soap and towels; if you want shampoo or conditioner you can pick it up in the lobby.
If that doesn't bother you - and you'd rather keep the cash - this is a pretty good stay. Nice location near the freeway, gas, EV charging, restaurants, a convenience store, and a great walking trail. Lots of parking, friendly staff, decent-sized room, very clean.
In our room the bath spigot was just starting to come off the wall, the AC seemed awfully slow, and the faux-wood flooring was starting to peel in places. The free wifi wasn't blazing fast. But - unlike most more-expensive places we have stayed - there was no mold in the shower, and wall damage was minimal - it looked like fresh paint. The halls and even stairwells looked fresh too. The beds were fairly comfy (one was a little softer, one a little firmer) and pillows were good. We slept well. Space and shelving and chairs were pretty similar to other hotels.
My wife wasn't excited, and I probably wouldn't want to live there permanently. But for a place to sleep for one night, I see no reason to spend more.

We stayed here on a cross country road trip, having to cut our night short after hitting traffic in Idaho. We chose Motel 6's across the country because they have a nationwide dog policy that has no weight restrictions. This hotel had clearly been recently renovated and was very clean. COVID protocols were all in place and clear, and we had no problems checking in or out.

We’d been on the road for two weeks and were headed home only needing places to sleep really. Chose the Motel 6 in Missoula based on above average reviews on TA. Check in was easy and the guy behind the desk was pleasant, friendly and efficient. He did explain that due to COVID there was no shampoo or conditioner in the room. I dont stay at this chain, so i thought perhaps they have pumps on the walls they had taken out? But seems like a lame excuse to not provide some 20 cent bottles of Disposible shampoo and conditioner. Regardless we had our own so we proceeded to the room. It was very small, and the bed was pathetic looking. It was small and flat with two pillows that looked like pancakes. It seemed that maybe they are also covering the blankets with plain sheets (excessivly wrinkled) that are maybe easier to wash, which made me feel a little better about their sanitation efforts but it also looked “slept in and made up”. I checked and the linens did appear clean. Finally we went to bed and sleep quality was fair. Up early the next morning and found only one wash cloth for a room assigned to two adults. Seems like an easy thing to fix if supervision is double checking the staff. TV was small, only one bedside table, etc. William checked us out and was very friendly and professional and even offered some insight for what i could expect up the road so that was cool. Overall it was ok for 8 hours of sleep but i wouldnt stay again.

While clean, it was grossly overpriced for the services and amenities provided. Other similarly priced hotels offer shampoo, conditioners etc with the room and provide a hot and varied breakfast. This hotel offered neither.

The Motel 6 outside appearance was good, but our room was lacking. Next time I will look for a non-pet-friendly hotel and pay extra for better accommodations. Don't misunderstand, we love animals having several of our own, but we were not traveling with them this round and had driven for 14 hours when the dog (across the hall) started barking at midnight. The room was just $99.00 with tax, and we didn't want to dump a lot in hotels for an overnight stop on the road. We booked two king rooms, and only one was available, so we took the queen and let the other couple have the king. Our room had a moldy smell, and by the warped flooring, we assumed it flooded. We cracked the window, and it wasn't too bad after a bit. The floor was bad; it was curled and warped throughout the room. The staff was very friendly, and a Cracker Barrell was within walking distance. This stop served our intention, cheap overnight and not too bad.

False economy. We thought we’d save a few bucks and stayed here. Mistake! The beds (mattresses) were saggy and uneven. The walls were paper-thin. We distinctly heard the conversation in the next room. Worse, early (5:00 am) the next morning we heard an hour of coughing and throat clearing, along with the sounds of toilets flushing and showers. With only coffee (and hot chocolate I had to ask for), the cost of breakfast ate up most of the “savings.” If you’re a single and don’t much care where and how you sleep, staying here might be worth it. I apologized to my wife and said, “ Never again.”

This is the nicest motel six we have ever stayed in. Elevators, indoor hallways, and 24 hour coffee. No breakfast at all but there’s a Starbucks that’s close as well as a gas station. Pick up your soap, body, lotion, and conditioner, at the desk when you go up. We would come again.

I originally picked this motel based on price but as I read the reviews before I booked I was even more encouraged. The facility was updated in recent months and was very clean. My room was also very clean and the air conditioning was on when I arrived so the room was comfortable as well.
The staff I encountered from reservation to checkout were all pleasant and professional. I will stay here again when I find myself in Missoula

Motel 6 seems to have LOST their seedy reputation! This was a very modern, updated motel, clean & tidy. When seemingly all the other area hotels were booked solid, I got a room right away, without a reservation! Certainly will NOT consider them a last ditch choice in the future! KUDOS!

Pet friendly, very friendly staff, definitely a nicer Motel 6. The location is a little out of town but in a nice area than felt safe. The room was clean and neat. The front desk staff was very friendly and checked me in with a huge friendly smile which was nice. We stayed here because it was pet friendly, there isn’t an extra charge for pets which is nice. Much much nicer than the Bozeman Motel 6.

Unfortunately we do not have any roll a ways as it is a fire hazard to have in our motel. There are a couple of motels in town with rooms that have 3 beds in them, but we only have rooms with one or two beds. Sorry for any inconvenience

The staff was super friendly about animals. The floors are tile, so, IF there happens to be an accident, easy clean up! There are also several different "pet zones" for pets outside of the hotel. I hope this helps!
Motel 6 is a no frills brand. Cheap. They do offer a bar of soap! There are no pictures on the walls, no alarm clocks, no tissues, no amenities or any kind. It works for a large group of travelers. In my opinion, their latest remodel is hideous and the no carpet and thin coverlet on the bed makes it cold and loud 😩
