Detailed Reviews
Our first encounter with this hotel was for my mother’s birthday a week ago. My husband and I had stayed at the Yellowstone Pioneer Lodge across the way from this hotel the month prior and I cannot say enough bad about our stay. The woodwork for the hotel is the only thing worth looking at. It WAS HORRIBLE so, I don’t recommend that place for even a dead rat!
I guess the first thing to note is that the hotel is currently being renovated and most of the large noisy work has been completed.
First, initial walk in was friendly and welcoming. They had no problem showing me the room before I checked in to ensure I was satisfied do to our horrible stay at the previous aforementioned property.
Secondly, currently the pool is under construction and repair to make your stay more amazing. This wasn’t a big deal for us, as I said, we were going to Chico so a pool wasn’t necessary. However, the continental breakfast will BLOW your mind. I believe the breakfast lady’s name was Linda or Lisa, she did an amazing job keeping food stocked, hot and everything clean and sanitized.
The breakfast alone is worth your stay! Trust me, I’ve stayed at enough hotels to know. This hotel is not the first for the owners and they have put a lot of time,
money and hard work into building a positive reputation, and they are doing an amazing job. Their is still more work they are doing to bring it up to their standards, but they are doing their best.
As far as the room goes… we had room 105. It smelled amazing some sort of a nice lemon verbena type smell, new carpet and beds were extremely comfortable, pillows were too. The vanity is nice for women who put make up on 😉. The shower has amazing water pressure and very hot water. New TV’s, dressers, and beautiful wardrobe cabinets. Small mini fridge that works well, nice room lighting and a nice body length mirror on the wall.
I just booked another stay for my husband and I for next weekend and this time I booked directly instead of using Expedia and they matched my stay to Expedia’s price. I honestly cannot say enough good about the staff, the owners or the hotel. We are looking forward to building a personal relationship with everyone involved and all of their hard work along the way.
Thank You for such a wonderful stay and making my moms birthday weekend wonderful as well!
Enjoy your trip!

The staff at this hotel is beyond great…the new owner has and is making improvements and takes every guest’s experience to heart. The hot fresh breakfast was a welcome surprise as most places are only offering bag breakfast. Perfect location for getting ready to stay in yellowstone…3 laundromats very close and machines were maintained…one of the best hotel experiences we have had in years

On a road trip back east, my wife and I were looking for a place to stay while on the road. We called a number of places and after being place on hold or getting no answers, we called the Yellowstown River Inn & Suites. On the phone, the owner was delightful and the reservation process incredibly easy. The room was very comfortable (two queen beds, refrigerator, and exceptionally clean. The Inn also has guest laundry and we were able to easily and affordably manage two laundry loads, all before checkout the next day. I'd recommend this to all -- a good value, clean, and hospitable owners.

Last week, my husband and I spent two nights at the Yellowstone River Inn & Suites visiting Livingston and the Paradise Valley area. We generally book Marriott properties but the attention to cleanliness and customer comfort conveniences made this older property feel like a Marriott. Two days after checkout, I frantically called their front desk when I realized I had inadvertently left four items of clothing in our room's closet. In response, the hotel staff went "above and beyond the call of duty", packaged my clothing and sent them to my home for a nominal fee. Needless to say, we consider Yellowstone River Inn & Suites a 5 Star property!

After leaving a totally nasty place, then having a last-minute booking not pan out bcs of lack of vacancy, finding the comfort inn was a much deserved relief. Front desk clerk was professional, pool and hot tub were still open, rooms were very clean and we felt safe. And during these covid times, the breakfast was awesome.
The town of Livingston itself was very disappointing - looked like everybody had just given up; totally depressing.

This is a nice hotel, just outside of Bozeman. We had a king room and it allowed pets, so our little dog was welcomed with a $20 fee. The large bed was very comfortable, and came with extra pillows. The room was spacious, and had a comfy chair with a standing reading lamp, as well as a lamp by each bed side. I especially appreciated the nice lighting, as it makes a big difference. There was also a desk and chair. We had ample room to relax. The hotel had a nice heated pool and a hot tub, which was much appreciated after our long drive. There was a breakfast buffet that included sausage, eggs and make your own waffles, as well as cereals, etc. I would definitely recommend this hotel for the price and its comfort rooms. The staff was friendly and everything was clean.

Just got back from my daughter’s destination wedding in Yellowstone National Park and a short Montana vacation. We stayed for several days at the Yellowstone Inn and Suites in Livingston, conveniently located about 1 hour from the northern park entrance, a half hour from Bozeman, and within walking distance to downtown Livingston. We couldn’t have chosen a better location for our purposes. The Inn has been recently renovated and redecorated, and our room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. The staff were helpful and accommodating, and the Inn’s hot breakfast was a welcome start to the day. Livingston is a charming, historic town with a Western rustic chic vibe and a growing number of upscale shops and restaurants. Outdoor recreational opportunities abound. Definitely worth a visit!

Excellent service and location . I was on a business trip while I got to stay here the room was very clean with all the amenities. Beds were very comfortable and service was great. Staff here is very helpful and accommodating. If you are traveling to Yellowstone national park this is perfect stop right off Interstate-90 heading towards park entrance. I loved my stay here and will definitely stay again.

Pleasantly surprised with this clean and comfortable Inn. New offering for us on our annual trip through Livingston. Bed was so comfortable with crisp linens that you'd swear were line dried. Breakfast was well planned so no congestion for coffee or waffles and plenty of condiments to please any palette. Totally enjoyably stay.

I gave this one an extra star because the front desk clerk working on Oct 9th in the evening was fabulous. Very polite, friendly, and helpful.
The room itself overall was pleasant and reasonably clean. The air quality tested out poorly because of the dust. Housekeeping needs to clean above eye level better. Layer of thick dust on top of pictures, door frames, and headboards. Leftover aftershave scent that caused me to open the window. The filters on the ac unit were dirty. Depending on your sensitivity to dust, no heavy perfumed cleaning products at least.
