It's pretty cheesy and old. Its a price point. I would not stay again. The couple we traveled with put their cloths on the pillows and slept in their clothes. We didn't think it was that bad. We were concerned that when we arrived that the trains were coming by about every 15 minutes, but they stopped at 10:15.... If you are on a limited budget it works, if you can afford another $50 i would say stay away. I didn't hate it, i just would not come back. Or stay for more than one night.

God-awful place! Prisons are better.....We wouldn't even get into the bath tub. Large mouldy area at base of sink. The air conditioner was so loud, we had to turn it off to sleep. Missing wood trim to reveal the inside corner of the well in the bathroom. Stinky room. The tv picture didn't fit the size of the screen under any setting. Dirty carpet. No drain stop for sink, we had to use a wash cloth to stuff it up. Nno ice machine on premesis, and when we drove the two blocks back to the main office (this office was closed down and locked up) to get ice, we were told that they stopped using the ice machine because too many people were using the ice.......This place was about 40 yards from the rail road tracks, too! And to top it off, they charged $110! The only place to get any food in the whole town was a convenience store two blocks away, and a medium sized bag of chips was $4.50. Also, the phone didn't work. If you stay here, take a defumigator with you, and ear plugs, and a wrecking ball. Don't stay here, sleep in you car. It'll be more comfortable, and you'll save a bundle. What a dump.

I don't mind old and dated but I don't like 40+ years of baked-in cigarette smoke and feeling that it was necessary to periodically check to see if there were fleas or other biting insects on my legs. For the scientifically curious, the carpet could provide a whole thesis for a biology/infectious disease graduate student- a treasure trove of bacteria, viruses, parasites and who know what else! On the customer service side of things, the teenage housekeeper woke us up so she could be done early (I heard her telling another one that after she banged on our door super early and was yelling outside our room for half an hour). Seriously, I was thinking who this might be a good deal for and thought maybe for a group of 20 y.o. guys- like 5 or 6 buddies who had been camping and hiking outside for 5 months without bathing, and if one rented the room and the rest piled in without management knowing, and if they all had those hammocks instead of a tent that they could hang from holes they pounded in the walls, that would be a good deal for them. Otherwise, run like hell. It's that bad.

Was a place for a bed and bath. A bit pricey for older motel. Was quite and well placed in town. Could of been better and could of been a lot worse. Could walk to grocery store and places to eat. Not so overly friendly host.

This motel hasn't been repaired or updated in many years. It's basically clean (I think), but hard to tell from the crumbling walls and floors. Bed was reasonably comfortable. Air conditioner very noisy, but it worked. Definitely not worth the nearly $100 for a night.

I had such a bad feeling about this place, but it was only $100 - but I know why!! Terrible location - rusted out, flat tire car parked out front - railroad next door - and needs complete renovation....or torn down and re-built!! I have to say although the room was small, our toilet ran all night, the air conditioner (window unit) was smelly and loud, our room was clean. That is about the only positive, but a good positive! Other than that, I would put out the extra $$ and go somewhere else!!

This place is the oldest motel I have every seen and should be closed. The room we had was a dump. Were do I begain...... old, needs so many repairs that I could go on forever.....needs to be closed. Bathroom had an open circuit for a light that was not covered. No fan in the bathroom. The cupboards were so old they were chipping. There was a metal wall that they put up on the wall next to the stove. The curtains were hanging off the track, so go to a better Hotel because was not a Hotel or Motel.

Room was very clean, bed was comfy, owner was friendly. The place is showing it's age, but I didn't pay $200 either, so, no complaints. I will be staying here again in a week, so that should be testimonial enough.

Staying in retro motels on a road trip is a lot of fun. This place is just old, as it needs some serious repairs and maintenance. There were holes in the curtains and window screens that could be patched. There were holes in the paneled walls that could be filled. The sink and bathtub didn't drain well at all, and there was a lot of cracked tile. The microwave door was cracked and broken, but patched with some tape. We didn't use it because of that. All the furnishings showed a lot of wear, so we didn't have high hopes for good sleep after seeing the room. The bed was really good, though, and the room was definitely clean enough for a good night's sleep after a hard day of driving. I can't say the place was friendly, because the person who checked us in didn't smile once. But maybe it was just an off day. One thing that was fun was the pink neon light that went along the whole roofline. Of course you need to keep the curtains pulled tight at night, but THAT is the real retro deal. It rained heavily that night, so we didn't hear any road or train noise, if there was noise.

The room is not the largest, but is just right. With a bed that was super, especially after a long two days in a car. The bathroom had a nice tub, and shower, the towels were very white, soft and fluffy. There was plenty of hanging room/hangers for clothes. There was a nice table to eat on, along with a refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, as well as coffee and the condiments. The room was very clean, as was the parking area, and park in from of the motel. The housekeeping staff was very friendly, and do a very good job in keeping the visitors happy. We will definitely be staying at the Budget Host/Parkway Motel whenever we are in Livingston.
