This was a great location for our trip. Bonus Costco directly across the street from hotel. Beautiful hotel with big rooms and everything you would expect from a Residence as far as kitchen and living space. Our room had a huge window with a beautiful view. The free breakfast was the best I’ve had at a hotel. The food was served on ceramic plates and silverware. I love coffee from a real mug and this place had 3 different types hot and ready. A bonus was the cold brew coffee. There was an outside covered seating area with a grill. Although our stay was only a day I could definitely see myself spending a week at this location or longer.

We stayed 3 nights here and loved the hotel itself, as well as the staff. However, I took off a star for the breakfast. There was cereal, mill, water, brown bananas, and a juice machine. If you wanted something else, you had to give the staff your order. We ordered some eggs and bacon and oatmeal and it was not hot and did not get much. If you wanted more, you had to inconvenience them again. I wish they would have had some other options such as yogurts, muffins, etc. I just feel they could have offered more to go options. We ended up having to eat out the other 2 nights because of the lack of food.
As far as the hotel itself, it was wonderful! The staff was so friendly. The hotel was well maintained we could tell. Everything was so clean. The housekeeping staff was wonderful also. Loved the suite and layout. Having the kitchen and dining table was so nice. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Our kids loved the splash area by the pool. Would definitely stay again if breakfast can return!

We took a road trip to Montana and one of our stops was in Helena, we were fortunate to stay a few days at the Residence Inn by Marriott Helena. The staff are incredible, the room super spacious and very clean. The room was bigger than my first apartment in Manhattan and far better appointed.
The pool and hot tub made for relaxing afternoons after sightseeing and the breakfast every morning was first class. The breakfast staff were super friendly, the food delicious and they played great music.
This is the place to stay when traveling to Helena!!

This location in Helena, MT oversold there property twice in a six month period. They did offer to send me to a substandard hotel. I went to check in the second time right after my conference (6pm). I walked in exhausted from a long day of training to this news. I have never heard of a property overselling their rooms; specially if it was saved on a business cc.

Your reservation was for a one night stay and all the others were for multiple nights, we wanted the impact of sending someone to another hotel to be as minimal as possible. We were calling everyone before hand to check for a cancellation and tried reaching you numerous times throughout the day so you wouldn't be surprised. We are truly sorry this had happened before and especially after a long day at work. Robert spoke with you directly afterwards and offered you a free night stay in a suite of your choice next time you are in the area. We arrived at the Residence Inn facility around 7pm and checked in. We were impressed with the door sign “this room was cleaned” that was hanging on our door, but to our surprise, going into the room, we found out that the garbage bin was not replaced and had left over trash from the previous guests.
We called the receptionist to ask to clear the bin and asked both the receptionist and the housekeeper if they’re sure the room was cleaned. Both assured us that the room is clean and that the sheets were replaced.
After coming back from the city, we went to bed. To our surprise again, we found out that the sheets are not cleaned nor replaced. There were black crumbs all over and even several foreign hair on the pillow and the bed.
We called the receptionist again and she told us that no available staff is on premises to take care of the issue and our only option is to change a room.
Unfortunately we had to waist our time and change the room when it was already late at night. So we went to sleep after midnight.
The next morning, I talked to your assistant manager. And later on corresponded with the hotel manager. Both told us that she didn’t see any major issues and no fault on their end.
What we’ve experienced is in contradiction to your statement that “the room was cleaned” and of course to Bonvoy commitment to clean…
The hotel management is not taking responsibility for the room to be cleaned.
We recommend not to stay in this hotel.

Dear Ehud, We are sorry you felt inconvenienced during your stay. My AGM had spoke with you about this while you were on property. You had made full use of the room for many hours and then claimed we left a tissue in the trash. Normally, if there is ever a room issue, we are notified immediately by the guests. Not hours later after using the shower, kitchen, coffee maker and luggage about on the bed. So, to make you happy, we moved you to another room. We tried to make your stay better by moving you but to no avail. Nothing is perfect but we sure do try. Our staff works hard and our cleanliness record is great. We take great pride in what we do and care tremendously about our guests. Please visit us again soon and have a good day!

Check in was fast and the girl at the front desk was extremely friendly and kind. Our room was not very clean at all. I found an earing on the kitchen counter, and it looked as though the room had not been thoroughly vacuumed, crumbs on the floor. Serious dust bunnies between the bed and night stand, along with a pen that was left on the floor. Towel bar in the bathroom was broken, and would not stay on each time we tried to re-attach it. The shower curtain is not adequate. Water all over the floor after showering no matter how you try and manuver the curtain shut. Walls are EXTREMELY thin. We were on the 2nd floor and could hear activity off and on through the night. Showers coming on, doors shutting, and people in their rooms. This is our 2nd time staying here and I probably will not stay here again. Staff was friendly, hotel needs some work.

Great area quite in a way, unless there is an airplane but what you expect close to the airport. We arrived late around midnights Kelsey was the receptionist, I was tired and pissed of my delayed flight, but with Kelsey’s attitude toward us all my anger and tiredness was gone. She made me feel welcome and talk to us pleasantly, like she knows us, like a long lost friend. Thank you Kelsey I hope you keep it up!!

Pros: Right by the airport, rooms are clean, spacious, and have everything you need; breakfast is good and there's plenty of parking. Overall it's one of those hotels that you can tell is just really thoughtfully and thoroughly managed.
Cons: It's a little pricey for a residence inn and it's a little far from downtown helena.

Normally, I like staying at Residence Inns. The rooms are a tad larger, and generally comfortable. This time, however, I was disappointed.
My profile on my Marriott "Bon Voy" membership asks for rooms on an upper floor. This time, however, it was the first floor underneath the glare of the outdoor service lights, and I had to close my blinds or be exposed to people leaving the parking lot to check in.
I had to turn the ice maker on when I got into my room. It made a HUGE noise the first few times, it made ice, so I shut it off.
Then breakfast. OK, so I have minimal expectations when it comes to "free" hotel breakfasts. But this one really fell short. The hashbrown container was empty, and the eggs nearly gone. There were several slices of cheese (for the eggs I assume) that had clearly been out for some time (the day before?). And the cover over the eggs had a broken hinge requiring some dexterity just to get to the few scrambles that were left. The orange juice, meanwhile, was horrible.
Lastly, I had to ask for my bill. Normally, it's emailed to me in advance.
So, it was a series of issues that will likely have me choose a different place next time, or if, I am in Helena again.

We are working with all our front desk agents to offer and accommodate our guests with excellent service. The ice makers in the suites are not turned on due to filling up with ice before the guests are checked in their suite. The chafing dish hinge was loose. We have new chafing dishes on order and we are waiting for delivery. With COVID some supplies are harder to acquire than others. We did have our vendors come by and adjust the juice machine so that it tastes better. The invoices for the bills are automatically emailed but as a service for our guests, our front desk agents always inquire if the guest would like a hard copy of their bill as well as emailing the invoice. We are truly sorry and we appreciate your comments in order for us to improve our services. We hope you will give us another chance and we hope you are able to stay with us again. It’s my favorite place to stay! Everything every time is perfect! The beds, pillows are great! The room is spacious and I really love relaxing on the couch! The breakfast they offer is good. They even offer a light dinner a couple nights of the week. The fitness room is clean and open 24 hours. The pool and hot tub look nice as I didn’t use either. The staff is very friendly and great to visit with. This is my go to when going to Helena!

Thank you for the question. Our Corner One-Bedroom King with the Fireplace is our only room type that offers an oven. All of the dining room tables in our suites seat 4 people. For a large dinner I would suggest utilizing our 14 seat rectangular table in our lobby area. Or if you're looking for something more private, you can inquire about renting our small meeting area right off of the lobby.
