Detailed Reviews
Nice flat large sites for trailers. Clean toilets and easily accessed water down sides are no shade, the lawn is not watered and folks leave their generators on all day do some sites are noisy.
Use your age related or veteran’s discounts. Site takes reservations online or by phone. Camp hosts keep a great campground.

The worst camp hosts you'll ever experience. Seriously no exaggeration. Visited my in laws here once, got harassed about my vehicle being parked 4" on the grass ( a bunch of knapweed if you're from Montana). Stayed here for my son's 5th birthday, I could write a book about the complaints we got from the old southern lady in the golf cart and the old man on the extremely loud John Deere Gator. Plus BLM has the water to the group sites shut off because they forgot to blow out the system before the Montana winter, big DUH moment there. Yet they charge $140/night to harass you. I've been camping for 37 years and never have I been scolded so much for following the rules. Good thing they didn't meet my group 10 years ago, they really would have had something to complain about.

Stayed at the Devils Elbow for two nights while going to the El Dorado sapphire mine. Very clean and well maintained. Friendly people. Sites can be reserved thru Recreation.gov web site. There are also some first-come-first-served sites. Sites are wide, graveled and deep enough for a 50+ ft RV. Our 26 ft Fleetwood had plenty of room to park. Right on a small bluff above the Missouri river. Beautiful sights. Will stay there again the next time we are in the area.
