Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We like campgrounds with trees! This one has trees that shade most of the camp sites and provide green in an otherwise tan landscape (which has its own kind of beauty). This campground is close to Hardin’s shops and restaurants with some good eating choices including a Chinese restaurant. Nice!

This is a basic KOA and perfect for a one night stay. Easy in and out and close to the interstate. Even though it was near 90, noise was not an issue. Very friendly owners who guide you to your site. You might notice on the map that many of the sites face one another which is great if your traveling with someone but not so great if you don’t know your neighbors.

Older park need refreshing, note no cable but we knew that going in. Pool was closed but was not disclosed until I asked - by the deep green color of the pool it had been out for awhile. Never again will we stay there

We stopped here for a couple of nights while on a 24 day road trip with our 5th wheel. Check in was a bit confusing as the person behind the counter was new and not yet fully trained. Once we finally got to our spot, the electrical outlet was loose, not working properly, and we notified the office and they fixed it right away. Very nice man. Overall it was fine. Nothing elaborate but we would stay again.

Once again we stayed in a cabin which was well maintained and snug. It's kind of windy here so if you're tenting be advised. Picnic tables all have covers so there's that Nice RV pull-thru's as well. If you're coming from, or going to, the Custer battlefield, it's a great place to stay.

Older KOA. Pool and Hot tub not clean. Women’s bathroom in need of repair. Placed in a space with no water available. Placed in wrong space. We were not notified that they had turned on the water for us. Disappointed with the park and the lack of communication from the staff.

Very friendly staff and owners. New owners for 2 months now. They are very nice and doing their best to up grade things but that all takes time. We sat with the owners by the fire. And had a good evening chatting about different things. Also a nice little store.

For the area, KOA is your best choice because the owners are committed to making your stay comfortable and are seriously trying to make improvements. Since we were in a Class A RV we did not partake of the amenities, but used this as our 3 day base for a visit to The Little Bighorn Battlefield 15 miles away and to the Yellowtail Dam and Marina 42 miles in the Big Horn Recreation Area. The Heritage Museum is worth a look as well; located in town. The wifi was weak one day and fair the others. Hint: when making a reservation as for a site close to the office for the best wifi connection. I understand they plan to add another station, but to be safe ask. As an aside, we met the folks working as kampworkers and found them to as helpful as the owners. So, all in all, our tree covered lot allowed us to sit outside, the location proved to be a great choice and most of all we felt welcome. We would return.

My husband and I knew we would be arriving late, after the office closed and then leaving very early, before the office opened. The people who work here were very friendly, understanding and accommodating, explaining the check-in and out process after hours. We found everything exactly as they described and were very pleased with the grounds themselves as well. Everything is clean and well kept so we will be visiting this campground again.

There is an extra added bonus when you wake up and step outside in the morning...bunnies everywhere! Walking to the showers, there were three very close to me and they are not at all afraid of people.

We stayed for two nights in order to visit Little Big Horn Battlefield. We researched and drove by the other rv parks in this area (3). The KOA is the best one. The grounds and spaces were below average, but again best in area. Showers are great if your 4 feet tall, nice pressure and hot water. Restrooms were old, but clean. Cable ok and internet was available one of the two days. We would stay here again because it's the best one in area. It was quiet.
