Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We spent just one night here before driving through Yellowstone to the Tetons. Nothing fancy, but very clean room and facility overall. The front desk staff were very nice. We had a room overlooking a brick wall with minimal natural light, but we were barely there to notice. Pretty basic room, they did confirm that they wash all bedspreads between guests. They have two bagged covid breakfast options- low carb (hard boiled eggs, cheese stick) and standard (muffin, nutrigrain bar). Both came with an apple and juice. In general there’s not a lot of high end offerings in Gardiner, and this hotel worked for our needs.

I believe I paid too much for this room, but it was less than many other options. I don't like that at least some of the outer doors don't require keys for entry. There was coffee in the morning as well as bagged food. Some bags included boiled eggs, a cheese stick, fruit, juice etc. and others had a pastry, juice, fruit etc. They did make an effort during Covid 19, but some people may need more than one bag to get enough food for a full morning at Yellowstone. The pillows were extra comfy!

Hotelling during COVID is...interesting. The morning breakfast is a grab and go bag. No more waffle stations. Room 117 was quiet, clean, and comfortable. Again, the staff was on their toes and very helpful. Since the don't go into rooms to clean during a 3-night stay, the staff goes out of their way to accommodate our calls for extra towels, soap, etc. This is why we choose Choice Hotels 90% of the time.

The Hotel charged $236 per night due to Yellowstone, but provided no services during our six night stay. We addressed the manager and she stated her and the Hotel’s lack of staffing will not accommodate any services. We asked her to reduce the rate and she stated no and if you do not like it leave. We contacted Choice Hotels Customer Service and then the manager decided to provide one day of service in the middle of our stay. The poor management and Hotel issues should never become the customers problem especially when they are a Platinum Member of the Choice Hotel Company.

We were very happy with our stay at the Comfort Inn Yellowstone North. The property exceeded our expectations.

Through the pictures we could see it was not a new property; however it is very clean and well maintained. Staff is friendly.
I loved the two separate guest laundry, and the gym has treadmills, free weights and a bench - allowing a reasonable workout.

Located just outside the north gate, this is a very comfortable hotel. Very clean with a great staff. From the hotel, it is around 6 miles to Mammoth Hot Springs. This is also the best location for wildlife viewing, which is better in the northern part of the park. It is still over 50 miles to Old Faithful, but with Covid, all park hotels are closed. We loved our stay at this property!

Stayed here for 4 nights and it was a very good stay. Nice room with comfortable beds. Everything was clean and we had all the amenities needed.

During a multiple day stay there will not be housekeeping service, but only on request. That was no problem for us.

The breakfast is a regular continental breakfast with enough basic hot and cold choices to start the day.

And last but not least, the staff is very friendly.

Gardiner is the place to stay if you want to get into Yellowstone and to Mammoth Hot Springs quickly.
Larry checked us in and he was efficient, friendly and just plain happy as well as helpful (It was quite late and he sent us up to the Antler Grill, so we could get our food order in-great suggestion).
Our room was decorated with log furniture, was clean and spacious and had a small table and chairs. We also had a small 'mini-bar' with a sink in the room, as well as a fridge, microwave and coffee maker.
There was no electrical outlet on one side of the bed, but I always travel with an extension cord and a multi plug, so no big deal. The bed was very comfortable, the A/C efficient and quiet and parking was good.
Now for breakfast: they served two kinds of scrambled eggs (strange to begin with) and sausage links. That was it for anything hearty; no piece of toast, bagel or English muffin . They did have waffles and syrup, sweet rolls and more sweet stuff; there were also two kinds of yoghurt.
The very weird breakfast is the reason for my four star rating.

Good hotel, nice clean room. Very helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was a bagged grab and go due to covid. Breakfast consisted of 2 boiled eggs, cheese stick, juice, and an apple. I would stay here again!

Lodge is in an excellent location to Yellowstone. Room was very clean and bed very comfortable. The fan in the bathroom is very loud and annoying. The air conditioner was even louder. Maybe other rooms don’t have these issues but room214 was annoying with that noise.
The breakfast was mediocre. It’s a typical hotel breakfast- scrambled eggs, sausage, kids cereals, toast and muffins and waffles
